A wonderful holiday stay

La Scarpaia is a delightful place to stay. Our hosts Laura and Adriano were all one could wish for - welcoming, friendly, and generous. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom house is all on one level, well-equipped, and has very comfortable beds. There is easy, secure parking and the house has its own private, shady gardens with lovely views, surrounded by cypress and olive trees. Laura and Adriano live in the nearby farmhouse and were always available if we had any questions or needed any help. The pool is beautifully located and although used by the family occasionally is mostly private. Always kept very clean, it is larger than most pools (12 metres) and excellent for exercise as well as relaxing and cooling off. The situation of La Scarpaia was, for us, perfect as it is set in quiet, beautiful countryside while being very close to all the places we wanted to be – Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Citerna, Monterchi, Citta di Castello (and for day-trips, it is also centrally situated for some of Italy’s greatest attractions – Arezzo, Siena, Florence, Urbino, Perugia, Assisi, Lake Trasimeno and many fascinating villages). As we well knew before going, the area also has some of the best and most affordable restaurants in Umbria/Tuscany, almost all of which have outside dining from May/June. We hope to be back next year and would like to thank Laura and Adriano and their family for their kindness and for a really wonderful holiday at La Scarpaia.

Amazing Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay in this house. The outside space, private patio and garden and setting is absolutely amazing and sitting under the large oak tree for our meals was just what we wanted! The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helpful. A. tasteful and traditional tuscan house. The gravel road leading to the property is steep. We loved our week’s break and swam a lot in the gorgeous weather.

Rustgevende vakantie

We verbleven 14 dagen in la Scarpaia en hadden een fantastische vakantie. Boven op de berg heerst er zoveel rust en kan je heerlijk ontspannen. Een zuchtje wind zorgt dat het zelfs bij hoge temperaturen aangenaam blijft. Er zijn fantastische steden in de buurt om te bezoeken. Het is wel steeds een eindje rijden. Ook voor een supermarkt moet je naar een verder liggend dorp. Je komt terecht bij fantastische mensen. We werden heel erg goed ontvangen, mochten meegenieten van het lekkers uit de tuin en konden met al onze vragen bij Laura en haar man terecht.

A beautiful stay in the heart of Tuscany

We enjoyed our very quiet and relaxing stay. The outside area is gorgeous, huge and peaceful, with pleasent breeze on warm days. Our little son (15 months) enjoyed running around. The rooms and house were well eqipped and very clean. The hosts Laura and Stefano were very nice and welcoming.

Beautiful house and beautiful surroundings

Belle et paisible location

Très bel endroit paisible. Les propriétaires sont des personnes très serviables et discrètes. Bon à savoir: il y a un horaire précis pour l'accès à la piscine (10h30-19h), et le port obligatoire d'un bonnet. Dommage que cela n'est pas précisé dans l'annonce.

Parfait!

Superbe endroit de vacances situé dans un cadre magnifique! La propriété est très bien entretenue, les propriétaires très sympathiques, disponibles et discrets. Les enfants ont également profité du grand jardin, de la piscine et des alentours. La petite ville d'Anghiari, très jolie, est bien située pour visiter la Toscane et l'Ombrie. Bref, super endroit, super vacances!

Wunderbare Zeit bei Laura und Adriano in der zauberhaften Toskana, den Hügeln Anghiari/Tavernelle

Entspannung pur, herrlicher Platz zur totalen Entspannung geeignet! Laura und Adriano schaffen eine Atmosphäre, welche vom ersten Tag durchatmen lässt und sich eine schnelle Anpassung an die entspannte Stimmung einstellt. Ein Auto eröffnet die Möglichkeit, sich den Sehenswürdigkeiten des "Grenzgebietes" der Toskana und Umbrien zu nähern. Ob Piero della Francesca (Maestro della Luce), Michelangelo, Franciscus de Assisio, gleich wo, kann man sich auch der Kunstgeschichte stellen, oder ausschließlich die Ruhe am Haus und dem Pool genießen und nur zu gelegentlichen Einkäufen in kleinen "Alimentari" oder großen Supermärkten aufbrechen. Nur zu empfehlen! Sowohl Familie, als auch zwei Paare, beides denkbar in den beiden Schlafzimmern mit jeweiligem eigenen Bad. Mit nur zwei Wochen Zeit gelingt ein hoher Erholungsgrad. Gern kommen wir wieder und genießen erneut, die Ruhe und die Landschaft mit den freundlichen und aufgeschlossenen Menschen.

Nous avons passé trois semaines très agréables chez Laura et Adriano qui sont des hôtes charmants et discrets. La location est parfaite pour deux couples avec une salle d'eau attenante à chaque chambre. A l'ombre d'un immense chêne nous avons pu prendre tous nos repas sur la terrasse avec barbecue et spacieuse piscine á proximité. Le chemin pour accéder à la propriété est un peu diffIcile mais la vue une fois arrivé est très belle.

Très beau séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour d'1 semaine en famille dans le gîte de Laura et Adriano. Les hôtes sont d'une grande gentillesse, discrets et toujours prêts à rendre service . La campagne alentour est très belle (verte, vallonnée, ponctuée de petits villages ...) . La maison est bien équipée : nous avons particulièrement apprécié les 2 grandes chambres (chacune ayant sa salle de bain), l'ombre du vieux chêne à l'extérieur et la piscine (partagée avec les propriétaires). Nous avons visité Florence et Sienne ( à 1h15 environ), Assise (à1h) et San Gimignano à environ 1h30. Merci encore à Laura et Adriano PS : spécial coucou à Romeo, le petit chat roux ... qui était devenu un peu le notre pendant les vacances ...

Luogo ideale per delle vacanze rilassante!

La casa è pulitissima e ben equipata. Laura e Adriano sono sempre disponibile al discreto per consigli interessante. La piscina è ben curata... Non ci sono altri turisti, dunque l'ideale per chi cerca la tranquillità della natura,benché città carine si trovino nella vicinanza. Abbiamo passato le migliore vacanze degli ultimi 10 anni. La casa e piscina sono ben curate! Laura e Adriano erano sempre disponibile per rispondere nostre domande e dare consigli... In un modi discreto hanno contribuito a nostre vacanze indimenticabile! La cucina è ben aredata.Nell' ombra della quercia sulla terrazza abbiamo passato delle belle serate! Sicuro che torniamo l'anno prossimo, la tranquillità della proprietà e l'ambiente ci ha aiuto di liberarsi di tutto stress di lavoro. la tranquillité au milieu des collines toscanes

Nous avons passé trois semaines de repos dans cet endroit charmant, propre et décoré avec goût, à l'abri du tourisme de masse même au mois d'août. Un vrai bonheur pour ceux qui cherchent à se reposer, à profiter de la chaleur sans en souffrir, à goûter l'excellente cuisine régionale, ou à se cultiver car les sites touristiques sont très nombreux aux alentours. Les propriétaires sont à la fois discrets , extrêmement sympathiques et disponibles. Ils font tout pour vous rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un séjour excellent à tous points de vue. Et quelles vues exceptionnelles justement sur les alentours. Le panorama est à couper le souffle. La maison est dotée de tout le confort nécessaire, rien ne manque ! Nous avons pu à loisir profiter de la piscine, du jardin, ainsi que de la gentillesse et la disponibilité de Laura et Adriano. Cette maison est sans aucun doute parfaitement adaptée aux enfants en bas âge. Malgré la chaleur durant notre séjour, nous n'en avons jamais souffert grâce au splendide Chêne, servant littéralement de parasol sur la terrasse. La Scarpaia est un véritable coin de paradis. "Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle région toscane et ceci grâce à Laura et Adriano ,qui sont des hôtes absolument charmants! Cette jolie maison, dont les chambres avec salles de bains indépendantes étaient parfaitement adaptées aux 2 couples que nous étions,est un véritable havre de paix .La gentillesse des propriétaires fait que l''on se sent chez soi! "Posto meraviglioso... ci siamo trovati benissimo: casa confortevole, arredata in maniera calda e adatta all''ambiente, piscina bella, pulita e sicura per i bambini. Ai nostri quattro figli é piaciuto molto. I signori Rossi sono dei padroni di casa simpatici, molto disponibili e discreti. Contesto suggestivo e pace assoluta. Torneremo sicuramente: ci siamo riposati e abbiamo apprezzato la campagna toscana. Non lontano si trova l''Osteria La Pergola: cibo tipico molto ben cucinato. Cinghiale, anatra in porchetta, pasta fatta in casa con sughi deliziosi, torta al cioccolato e rum: la ns. classifica personale delle pietanze migliori. E'' facile raggiungere le città piu'' note e, nel tardo pomeriggio, tornare e farsi un bel tuffo in piscina. Il connubio ideale per una vacanza: movimento durante il giorno, tranquillità quando si desidera. Fam. La Porta Visconti"

Nous avons passé d'excell...

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances, dans un lieu très calme et agréable. Laura et Adriano sont des hôtes attentionnés et plein de gentillesse, dont nous sommes très content d'avoir fait la connaissance. Ils sont également disponibles en cas de besoin, et fournissent volontiers des informations sur la région. Le logement est totalement indépendant. Il est pratique et confortable. Il est également adapté aux enfants en bas-age car il est de plein pied. La piscine est propre et agréable. Elle est mise à disposition à toute heure de la journée avec libre-accès grâce à la clé. Merci à Laura et sa famille pour l'accueil et ce beau séjour que nous avons passé en leur compagnie.
