A most pleasant property. Situated in a calm rural setting, ideal for rest and relaxation but near enough to Bordeaux to experience the city sights and gastronomic delights.
We were fortunate to meet the owners who were an extremely nice couple and very helpful.
We’re chose to spend New Year at Lubat, Cézac, and we had a lovely holiday.
Jeanluc was prompt and helpful in replying to my emails and we we’re met at the gite by his sister and given plenty of helpful suggestions of things to do and places to visit.
The gite was warm and comfortable and charming.
We were welcomed with a bottle of delicious wine from the closest (across the road!) château!
The Homeaway site is a little misleading as it implies that the bedding and fuel are included in the price, but that is not so but the bedding is easily booked and the cost of the electricity was very reasonable.
A note to Brits- there is no kettle and no lid to a small saucepan- so boiling water for tea can take a little while! 😀

Lovely stay
Great stay in a secluded, quiet spot. The house was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities needed. Great location for traveling the area by car. Enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the wild deer in the warm evenings. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely property in beautiful setting
On arrival we were met by Sandrine and her son who spoke English very well and were both very helpful and friendly, making us immediately welcome.
The house has everything needed for a very comfortable stay and we had the bonus of fresh figs from the tree in the garden, it was lovely sitting in the garden enjoying the early October sun.
The nearest village is Cavignac which has shops and restaurants and is only a 5 minute drive. Its a great location to explore the region.

A nice quiet retreat!!
Take a minute to just breathe and enjoy the lack of noise from a busy city. Wake in the morning with rooster crowing and the smell of clean air. A great place to unwind. Sabrine, Jean Luc's sister greeted us and explained how everything worked. We even had a beautiful bottle of wine waiting for us. About and 1 hour to 1 and 1/2 hours to Perigod Fois Gras, Congac for wonderful cognac and to so many other sites to see.
Thank you Jean Luc and Sabrine for a wonderful hideaway.

A Gem in the Country
A Gem in the Country ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We arrived in Cezac where Mr Raffin's sister greeted us in the evening despite being late due to our flight.
She took the time to show us the accommodation and gave us some history behind it.
The Longere is very spacious and comfortable and the surrounding areas are beautiful. Our stay was in the Autumn and the colours were magnificent. We made use of the fireplace in the evenings and sipped wine from the vineyard next door!
We had to pay extra for the electricity for 7 days but were aware of this before we booked. However, there is a fee per bed for linens which is not clear. Mr Raffin waived it after I mentioned that it was not stated on the English version of the website. This is really the websites fault and not his.
I would return to this accommodation without any hesitation.
Encore merci
Ca 40 Minuten vom Flughafen in Bordeaux.
