About this property

Southgate is a quiet village located above Three Cliffs Bay with clifftop walks taking in beautiful scenery. The area is looked after by the National Trust and it takes approimately 20 minutes to get onto pobbles/Three Cliffs beach. The village has a number of places to eat from coffee shops to restaurants and a pub. The renowned Pennard Golf club is situated at the entrance to the village with views over the bay. If you like walking then it is a great base but a short drive will take you to all the beaches on Gower and they are well worth exploring.
A family friendly home from home. Our games room has a table football that everyone will enjoy. We have a selection of games and puzzles and lots of reading material. In the lounge there is a TV with freeview, a DVD player with selection of DVD's. The kitchen\diner is large enough for everyone to fit in with patiio doors opening onto the mainly grassed, fenced garden. We have a downstairs bedroom and bathroom so the house is suitable for anyone not able to go upstairs. There are two double bedroom an one twin bedroom upstairs and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The house has a large combi boiler so there is always hot water.
The Garden is mainly grassed and securely fenced with a patio area just outside the kitchen. We supply a selection of buckets and spades and garden games
A welcome basket of Gower coffee, tea and Welsh cakes can be found in the kitchen so that you can relax and recover from your journey.

Great Holiday Home in a fabulous location

We had an excellent long weekend away in this well equipped holiday home. The weather was perfect so we spent most of the time walking the spectacular cliffs and beautiful beaches. Garden has comfortable seating and a sunshade… ideal for enjoying a well earned G n T before heading out for dinner.

Relaxing break in a beautiful area

The property was perfect for us, clean, nice garden, large kitchen-diner and in a lovely village… enjoyed seeing the cattle walking the streets. A couple of good cafes and a lovely cliff walk are nearby. Based on our experience, we would recommend it.

Beautiful property and stunning location

Spent 4 days here celebrating my sons 21st birthday. The accommodation is spacious, was immaculate and had everything we needed. Stunning views and walks just a few mins away from the property. There are some lovely local businesses in close proximity, cafe, pub and great little pizza place! Would totally recommend and would return without a doubt as my son is at Swansea Uni.. short drive away. Thank you

Great Place

Lovely, comfortable, well equipped family home in a quiet residential street. Perfectly situated for local beaches and cliff walks. A few cafes and a good shop a 3 minute stroll away, and the Southgate club 5 minutes in the other direction. Very handy for the famous Pennard Golf Club too - "the Links in the Sky". Both Trudie the owner and Gaynor the caretaker were very responsive and helpful. A perfect stay!!

Hi, my name is Trudie and I was brought up in Murton near Bishopston, Gower. I love this place and have fantastic memories of Sunday afternoon picnics on Horton beach. scrambling over rocks in Foxhole and eating ice cream on Caswel Bay. You can't beat The Gower for diversity and I am sure you will love it too.
I now live in Aberdeenshire and am dreaming of one day retiring to this little part of Wales. I am a designer and run a home furnishing company in my day to day life

Why they chose this property

The house is in a unique location. I love walks along the cliffs to Three cliffs bay and beyond. Exploring Bishopston Valley and the fantastic sandy beaches. You can walk all the way to Oxwich bay at low tide and explore caves used by smuglers along the cliffs

What makes this property unique

Walking distance to the beach.
