Great group family holiday

We stayed here with 3 other families, with ages 1-7 years. The communication was brilliant, we paid extra for the swimming pool to be heated and the kids spent so much time in the pool! Some of the rooms are.a bi

Great family week in Silves

Great villa. Super layout, with ensuite rooms for large families. Really well equipped kitchen. Superb pool area. Only disappointment was no pool table or real gym.

Great place

We had a brilliant time. The property was clean and spacious. The pool was fantastic - enjoyed by children and adults alike. There was room for people to have their own space as well as lots of different social spaces. Silves was close enough and had a range of places to eat as well as things to look at. It all had a great feel. A car is necessary to see Portimao - can recommend the boat trip. All in all, we'd recommend and would think of doing it again.

Excellent property well equipped for groups

We were very impressed with the property. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which is essential when you are a big group. The villa felt very secure. The pool is a good size and the kitchen near the pool is good for keeping refreshments. The main kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need and the large cooking pots made it easy to cater for the group. The tables both outside and inside enabled the group to sit together. The sun terrace was great for getting some peace and quiet and sitting in the evening. The villa is well located a short walk from Silves which is a lovely town with lots of facilities. Also easy access to lots of other towns and beaches. The host met us when we arrived and checked in during the week. The family we travelled with had stayed in the villa before and we would definitely recommend it again.

Cool respite in Silves.

Does what it says. All bedrooms with AC were a blessing when the temperatures were oppressive. Any problems were quickly resolved by the host and staff. A very enjoyable stay .

Large group

We needed a property to cater for a large group. The property has plenty of indoor and outdoor space . No issue and owner always available if needed.

Group family holiday

Just back from a fantastic holiday here. 18 in our group and the villa had plenty of space for everyone. At the start of the week we had a problem with the air conditioning which meant we were extremely hot inside the villa but Eduardo was easy to contact and worked to get the problem fixed. The children and adults alike had a great time in the spacious pool although maybe a few more loungers around it would be good for so many guests. Kitchens are well stocked with utensils etc for everyone. The bedrooms are all a good size but be aware of the door handles coming away in your hand lol We learnt not to leave any food lying out uncovered as the ants generally came pretty quick to claim it as their own!! Otherwise they weren't a problem. It is about a 10-15 minute leisurely walk into Silves where you will find Lidl and all the little touristy shops. Go further on to the Continente supermarket for best choice of food. This is better reached by car. Would definitely recommend the villa as a place for a quiet relaxing group holiday to get away from it all.

Great pool (could do with a few more sunbeds to cater for size of property). Location was good - could walk into Silves. Bedrooms were fine (some damp in one of the bedrooms by pool). House was a great size. Overall, would recommend.

Mixed feelings!

Eduardo kindly let us in at 11am which was a great help! The inside of the house is generallly good. The kitchen is large and well stocked with various bits of equipment etc. The upstairs bedrooms and 2 of the downstairs bedrooms are a decent size with decent sized bathrooms. The other 3 are a bit older and smaller but they do the job nonetheless. The exterior is a lot smaller than we had realised based on the the pictures. The pictures of the play equipment etc are not actually in the grounds of the house, you have to leave the house and go up the path to find them which was a bit of a shame. However, the trampoline was so dilapidated that we wouldn’t let our children on there anyway and the swings have seen a lot of use too. The biggest shame of all was that I had double checked before we booked that we could heat the pool (happy to pay extra for it!) as we go to Portugal that week each year and we know the pool is too cold for our kids (age 1 & 3) and we were told that it was possible to do so, so we booked. On arrival it transpires that the pool cannot be heated. This was a real shame for us as the pool was of course too cold for the kids which is usually their main source of entertainment. It started to warm up around 5pm just in time for dinner and getting ready for bed which was not helpful. (We did try to find another villa to move to on the second day but unfortunately could not find anywhere that already had the pool heated so would have been a waste to move.) Eduardo himself was lovely and very kind. He brought us some local custard tarts and gave some of our party a lift to town which was very kind. The location to town is good but it is on a main road. Silves is a wond Raul town. I wouldn’t stay again purely because of the pool. It is my kids holiday too and they love swimming so I always stay somewhere that the pool can be heated.

Perfect for family holiday

8 adults and 7 children, plenty of space/bedrooms. Great location as 10 minute walk into Silves-lovely historical town, with an amazing castle. Swimming pool is a great size, we used it every day! Lovely balcony -upstairs, overlooking the castle lit up at night. Would recommend the villa for large family holiday. Only downside - the umbrellas/ sunshades are looking tired/worn. Few bits and pieces need updating. Some door handles also need attention! Eduardo was always on hand to sort anything out. We had a fantastic holiday here!

Positives Fitted 10 adults and 7 teens no problems Location great walking distance to everything Pool is a really good size Negatives We never got full access to the property until 6pm due to a mess left by the previous group (they should consider taking a deposit to prevent this happening in the future). Days later we could still smell sick in the small kitchen. The outside sun beds we cleaned ourselves Villa pictures are old and they do not reflect the current condition of everything which is tired and worn. There was no canopy cover, table or chairs on the balcony as shown in pictures (I was looking forward to for the evenings but we could not use this space at all). All canopies front and back of the house were ripped / broken. Most shower rooms had something missing or broken All Bedroom handles by pool side kept falling off (I asked for this to be fixed and was told the next day. Nothing got fixed) Due to a new fire alarm system there was constant power cuts (owners attended within 30min but this took 3 days to fix) The fitness room and games equipment. All cramped into one garage. To top this off we could not use the pool much in the second half of the week due to falling ash from nearby forest fires. There is no air conditioning in the dining room so even with the ash from the fire we still had to eat outside due to the heat I have rented properties abroad and at home and never had a need to review. This could be a lovely place to stay in but needs a little tlc.

Superb villa highly recommend this

This was one of the best villas we have stayed in 12 adults and 2 children, the pictures don't do it justice. Eduardo was brilliant he was always on hand if required, even brought us some extra sun umbrellas, nearest restaurant 100 yards away. Very clean even supplied good pool towels and plenty of them. Very secure would highly recommend. Even allotted your own orange tree so you can pick fresh oranges every day, plenty of good restaurants twenty minutes walk to centre of sives.

Silves est une ville sympathique avec un joli chateau et des commerces à proximité. La maison d'Edouardo est bien et mériterait quelques aménagements pour être au top. Precision le logement est sur un terrain partagé avec d'autres loactions et personnes faisant des va et vient. Je ne sais pas si cela est précisé dans l'annonce.

Les plus : Disponibilité des propriétaires. Mise a disposition d'une cuisinière avec supplément. Volumes de la maison. Orangeraie a disposition. Les moins : Donne sur route passante. Ménage moyen. Mobilier dont la salle de sport vieillissant. Eau de piscine trouble. Canalisations bouchées au bout de 2 jours dans les salles de bains du rdc. Maison qui fait le job pour famille nombreuse mais le rapport qualité/prix est élevé pour les prestations. Néanmoins nous avons été bien accueilli par des propriétaires sympathiques et disponibles.

Très bon séjour en famille !

Points positifs : Très belle villa avec grande piscine, à deux pas des commerces, parfait pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis. Jus d’orange frais tous les matins grâce à l’orangeraie juste à côté Points négatifs : Piscine « apparemment » chauffée, mais il fallait demander au gérant car la pompe à chaleur était éteinte à notre arrivée, dans notre cas nous en avons été informés au moment de notre départ, vraiment dommage de ne pas en avoir été informés plus tôt, car la chaleur n’était pas au RDV durant notre séjour.

heerlijke week in portugal

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Silves. Het huis is echt netjes en het was superfijn dat elke slaapkamer een badkamer erbij had met goed werkende douches/ bad. Zwembad was fantastisch en werd ook regelmatig nog schoongemaakt. Meubilair en speeltoestellen buiten zouden wat opgeknapt/ vervangen mogen worden. Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is zeer goed
