Lovely property in a great location.

The house is a lovely property in a very quiet area. It is well appointed; spacious and allows the use of a beautiful garden. The owners live next door and are very welcoming and helpful. This property was an excellent base for exploring Normandy.

Equemauville Normandy

Situation excellent, quiet, rural. Good for Honfleur etc. Description of house not good. No walk in /under shower. Shower attachment/on bath has no where to hang it on wall and no grab rails for more elderly residents. Stairs which have turn and no handrail difficult for more mature people. Only toilet in cupboard under stairs so difficult for taller people. No dishwasher.Proprietor friendly and lives in the other part of the house Automatic lawnmower quite a distraction!

A property full of character tucked away in the Normandy countryside.

We fell in love with the look of the property on the website and when we arrived it lived up to all of our expectations. The property is located a short drive from Honfleur, sadly its not safe to walk there due to the lack of pavements but that didn't cause us too many problems. We were also in easy reach of Deauville and Trouville and the surrounding villages. The village doesn't have too much on offer but we found plenty of options for eating out within a short distance. Stephanie gave us some recommendations which we tried and we were delighted with them. "Bon Thé Bonheur " in Touques was our favourite. The property had everything we needed, sadly we couldn't enjoy the garden more due to the weather but we could see the potential in the warmer months. The property has lots of extra touches that make you feel very welcome and other than taking my own teabags we didn't want for anything. The kitchen is fully equipped and if you wanted to do your own cooking you could. The house was very warm and cosy, a little too warm for us at times, we didn't need to wear any extra layers whilst indoors. We would recommend this property if you are looking for a base to explore, we hope to be able to return again soon.

What a beautiful place to stay

We were met by the owners who live in the main part of the house. They had kindly left little treats a bottle of cider, tea, coffee water, biscuits and sweets. The house is gorgeous and very large even for the three of us. It's down a quiet country lane and has a lovely big garden with a plunge pool. The town has a supermarket, tabac pizza parlour. Boulangerie and upmarket off licence but unfortunately no restaurant or bar. Nonetheless there are many restaurants in and around honfleur. We have a dog and found the roads around the house itself were so little used we let him off the lead. The owners were helpful and hospitable. Lovely place will return

Such a Wonderful Place to Stay

My wife and I (both in our 70’s) stayed here for 10 days in June 2019. First of all, Stephanie and her husband Cyril were very welcoming and helpful. They have a beautiful property, rich in history, and it was a lovely place to be based. Nearby Honfleur is charming. There are so many really nice restaurants available with lots of fish dishes on offer. My wife and I sampled the oysters at the Wednesday morning craft market; we loved them. The house was very comfortable and very well-furnished. There was everything you could hope for. Thankyou Stephanie and Cyril, for making our holiday unforgetable

Great location, impressive house, lovely hosts.

The property is 5 minute drive to Honfleur which is a beautiful town with a great market on a Saturday morning. Équemauville is a quiet place, it has a lovely bakery and a large supermarket. We can also recommend the pizzas made to order in the small Italian takeaway in the village. Stephanie couldn’t have been more obliging and was a great host - She communicated really well despite our woeful lack of French vocabulary, it’s amazing how useful sign language can be 😊 We used the property as a We The tea, coffee, cakes and even locally made cider that we were given on arrival were a lovely surprise and very appreciated. We used the property as a base to explore Normandy, and we visited places like Deauville, Étretat and Rouen. We stayed with our dog who also had a great time, having the run of a large garden to play in. We look forward to visiting again one day 😊

Un endroit merveilleux - fortement recommandé

Quelle maison de caractère normande! Cette ancienne presse à cidre avec des poutres en chêne et des planchers en bois est très bien meublée et équipée. Le salon et la chambre donnent sur un beau jardin avec des cerisiers et des pommiers - un endroit pour profiter du soleil. Nous sommes restés deux semaines en juin et avons trouvé l'endroit idéal pour se rendre aux attractions à Honfleur et aussi plus loin, comme Caen, les plages de Normandie, Etretat et Rouen. Mais ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable était nos hôtes. Ils étaient attentionnés, amicaux et très utiles pour nous. Nos remerciements à M et Mme Lefebvre. Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances ici et je le recommande vivement.

Perfect

We spent two beautiful weeks in this lovely spotles house, Stephanie, Cyril and their 2 very charming children were the most perfect hosts. The gite itself was just lovely, they had thought of everything, the area in which the gite was situated was just perfect, near to wonderful Honfleur but so handy for everything else. Séjour très agréable avec quelques améliorations possibles

Propriétaire très gentil, maison conforme à la description, on a apprécié les petites attentions et les arrangements. Il faudrait peut-être changer la literie et le canapé qui commence à être usé par l’âge. Nous recommandons ce logement et nous espérons revenir.

Es war sehr schön in Equemauville und in dem Haus. Der Garten ist wunderschön und wir hatten sehr schöne Ferien dort. Alles was man braucht war vorhanden und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Bezoek côte fleurie 07/2024

Toplocatie als uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan Trouville, Etretat enz. Vriendelijk onthaal en altijd bereid om hulp te bieden zonder opdringerigheid. Hond ook welkom. Beperkte hoeveelheid warm waree, geen douche en bbq van mindere kwaliteit zijn enkele minpunten. Een flesje wijn bij aankomst ipv 4 caps koffie was fijner geweest.

Belle Normandie

Très beau séjour. Nous avons aimé la maison normande, l’accueil chaleureux des propriétaires, qui sont d’une extrême gentillesse et ouverture. Vous avez tout pour vous sentir comme à la maison. Le jardin est magnifique et très bien entretenu mieux que sur les photos. Je conseille vivement cette maison très tranquille et idéalement située sur la côte normande.
