Beautiful estate!

We enjoyed being out of the city center and being in a quiet town. We are so thankful for Grannies hospitality! She was so wonderful and gave us nice little welcome treats and toiletries if we needed them. We had the absolute best time and really enjoyed staying in Summerhill!! 😃

Dream Vacation

We are so grateful for an outstanding vacation in Ireland. It was a dream come true for my father. The house was simply breathtaking, the property was inspiring, and the host was generous and gracious. This was one of the best vacations my family has ever had. It was truly a dream. Thank you so much for the great memories!

Beautiful, inviting home on tranquil property

We spent a week in this elegant, comfortable home. Everything was wonderful. Grainne and Philip welcomed us with a sumptuous, delicious lunch, including home-made scones. We couldn't find a single thing to improve upon - you will not be sorry if you decide to stay here. If we ever find ourselves back in this area, we will try to stay here again and will certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Visit ParaSwimming NAC Dublin

We stayed with 8 people for one week in Summerhill - Cranbraddy House with pleasure. At arrival Grainne & Philip welcomed all of use with open arms and nice food. There was sufficient space for all. Although the house was in the countryside it was easy to commute to Dublin and making visits to other tourist attractions. Graine & Philip were very helpful and responsive and introduction to "the secrets of the house" was much appreciated. This house is certainly worth to visit again.

Wonderful time

The booking process & overall communication was excellent. We had to postpone our stay due to Covid, but Grainne & Phil couldn’t have been more accommodating. The house itself is beautiful & the garden is lovely. The wonderful scones & apple pie on arrival were a lovely surprise & very delicious. Our family had a wonderful 5 days together before our daughter’s wedding & it allowed us some special family time before the big day. Grainne & Phil are fabulous hosts & their house has everything you could ever want to enhance your stay. We would highly recommend 😊

Idyllically situated beautiful house

My family and I booked this property due mainly to its location, availability and the accommodation available. Our experience however was so much more. From the fabulous welcome tea provided by Grainne to the enchanting house martins and other creatures that visited the beautiful gardens . We were blessed with glorious weather and able to make full use of the gardens and various relaxing spots around it. It was a little oasis away from the busyness of Dublin apx 1 hour away. A perfect retreat at the end of fun filled days. The house has a lovely warm atmosphere and feels very welcoming. We enjoyed cooking together in the large open plan kitchen and being musical took advantage of the perfectly tuned piano and the little stage.....we had a great time. Loved everything about it. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Country and Beautiful Home

This property is wonderful. It is beautifully furnished and decorated with a lot of artistic personality. The kitchen is loaded with every appliance you could possibly need. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The grounds are impeccably maintained and there are several different locations on the property to sit and relax outside. It is perfectly located for privacy, yet the local pubs are only 2k away if you are in the mood for good food and taking in the Irish culture. Approximately a 25–30-minute drive to the heart of Dublin. Upon checking in, the hosts Grainne and Philip made us feel like we were part of their family. We were surprised to be greeted with freshly baked scones and an apple tart (still warm from the oven) and smoked salmon/cream cheese sandwiches on the most delicious bread. Their incredible hospitality will not be forgotten. We will definitely be back again!

Great Ireland House

My wife and I stayed with our 2 kids (20 and 16) over the Christmas holiday in 2022. We chose this house because of its location and its amenities and it did not disappoint. It was very clean, had space for all of us and was so peaceful. When we arrived Grainne and Phillip met us at the house with an array of light snacks. What a pleasant surprise after a long journey. The house is very comfortable and provides easy driving access to Dublin and many nice sites in the countryside. SInce we stayed over the holiday many things were closed as we expected. This was no problem as we really felt at home and enjoyed the house and a cozy peat fire every evening. If you are looking for a relaxing get away in Ireland with easy access to Dublin and beautiful sites in the country we recommend staying here.

Idyllically located & tastefully decorated house with beautiful garden

Our family stayed one week in this idyllic place and we really enjoyed our holiday! After being welcomed with a table set with lovely food (what a nice surprise!) Grainne showed us around the property explaining everything we needed to know. The house is spacious, bright and tastefully decorated so that it was easy for us to feel instantly at home. When it was sunny we had our meals outside or just sat in the garden enjoying the atmosphere. The estate is beautifully designed and has outdoor furniture in the loveliest spots. Even with rain we were comfortable sitting in the living room reading, talking and feeling cosy. But surely we didn’t stay home all the time - we also saw a lot of impressive cultural monuments, old castles and beautiful places (which are all not far away from the house by car) perfectly prepared with the information in the guest folder Grainne provided. She also answered quickly when we had a question during our stay. And since we didn’t have to check out early in the morning, but when it was convenient for us, we could even enjoy our stay on our last day …

Beautiful Home and Wonderful Hosts

We visited as a small group for a friend's 30th birthday and it was a truly lovely experience. Grainne & Phillip were amazing hosts! We were greeted by a lovely breakfast and tea upon our arrival (even a 30th birthday balloon!). There were so many thoughtful considerations made, from the tour of the grounds and house, to the information packets for not only the house but the surrounding areas. The day we arrived construction work closed the surrounding roads and not only did Grainne and Phillip reach out immediately to let us know, Phillip also went down to the village to try to catch us in case we didn't get their messages. The house itself was so lovely and such a incredible place to stay, I could not recommend it enough. I would absolutely stay again if coming to the area, especially with a group. There's enough bathrooms for everyone to get their own space, every bedroom has a wonderful view, and the hosts are truly so thoughtful and kind. The drive to and from Dublin was easy enough for us to make for a couple of days, and we loved having the house as a quiet place to relax after long days exploring. I hope to have the chance to return some day. <3

Simply stunning

Our stay in Summerhill was glorious. Philip and Grainne were lovely to deal with - so helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Information provided on the house facilities was superb as was the local information. I could not have asked for more. High praise is well deserved.

Lovely country retreat within 30 minutes of Dublin

Elegant modern but cosy country house with manicured lawns at the end of a delightful country lane, surrounded by barley fields and forest. Deer were sometimes visible from the house and garden, which enchanted the children. The hosts were most welcoming, leaving us with a lovely lunch of smoked salmon, cream scones and apple tart. Village less then 10 minutes drive away has supermarkets and restaurants. Woodland walk within walking distance with many more in the surrounding area. Historic buildings within easy drive of the house. A lovely break for us all!

Amazing and uplifting settings

The house and grounds are as good as they show on internet. The landscaping was beautiful and uplifting just as the country home was warm and inviting it was a phenomenal place my entire family enjoyed thoroughly. We missed it even before we left it! The place was only surpassed by the wonderful experience we had with the owners - they made us feel at home every second of the way from arranging the travel to the stay to the departure - it was a wonderful experience

This home is very well maintained and decorated with style and grace. Beautiful yard and gardens.

First impressions are everything and the owners of this home nailed it! They met us in the village and guided to their home. The couple were very friendly and welcomed us with a beautifully abundant spread for tea upon arrival! This beautiful home is gated for privacy as well as security for our small children or pets. The children were able to run and play with plenty of room to spare and we were able to relax knowing that they were contained within the yard safely. The home itself has a peaceful and serene feel. The nature outings we had were phenomenal. We saw wild deer, 3 foxes, an abundance of song birds as well as gloriously beautiful floral and fauna. The windows in this house command breath taking sceneries of majestic trees and rolling hills not to mention green grass that looks almost like carpet. The tastefully decorated home contained beautiful art, plenty of music in the music library, a traditionally designed home with all the modern conveniences. The home is roomy enough to accommodate our large family of 5 adults and 2 small children easily. Everyone had privacy when needed in addition we were able to enjoy the kitchen and living areas as a group with plenty of elbow room. This home is very cozy with a stellar kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, large bedrooms and a large laundry room. The walking lane was gloriously beautiful and the locals were extremely friendly. It is centrally located within the Boyne River area and thus close to all the the best tourist attractions in Ireland such as Newgrange, Tara, Castles, and more. The home is located very close to a horse riding facility. The village is quaint and the food at the local restaurants and pubs was superb! The atmosphere of this home is cozy and yet grande and is tastefully furnished with a grand piano in the music room. We were able to enjoy outside grilling, in home cooking as a family, as well as many options for eating out when we were exhausted from a day of exploring and adventure! I will most definitely be returning to this wonderful destination! My family and I all agree that this place deserves a 5 star rating in addition we gladly admit that this has been the best vacation we have ever taken. You could not possibly be disappointed in choosing this destination for the vacation of your dreams!
