Casa Rosa dei Venti is a lovely 60 sqm apartment located in the very heart of the historic centre of Syracuse, the island of Ortigia.
It enjoys 2 balconies with a spectacular sea view and a 21 sqm terrace with the same gorgeous sea view.
It comprises of a main room with: modern kitchen, sofa, dining area and sea view balcony; a spacious double bedroom with sea view/balcony; a modern bathroom. On the second level our guests can enjoy a large terrace with splendid sea view.
Casa Rosa dei venti is equipped with all modern comforts: air-conditioning/electric heating, illimited internet wi fi, washing machine, dishwasher, smart tv.
Please kindly note that security deposit and city tax are due in cash upon arrival.(see our house rules).

Beautiful Apartment in Ortigia

We have just returned from a glorious 10 days in Sicily. We stayed in the apartment for 5 days. It was wonderful. The apartment is everything that we had hoped for. Sea view from the living area and the bedroom, comfortable bed, air conditioning in both rooms, an outside roof-top terrace. Communication with Stephanie was excellent and she had great recommendations for restaurants, which we were very grateful for. We would highly recommendation this rental. worth every bit of its 5 star review.

On the whole excellent

As per the title, on the whole, excellent. I would suggest a few additions:- dish towel, mugs, milk jug,(tea pot), bread knife. Re cleanliness, the edge of the shower needs a little attention. As an accommodation provider in the past, I am a little fussy! I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely flat in a good area in a most interesting place.

What a view

Superb apartment in an ideal location

The apartment is in a lovely quiet location in Ortigia with wonderful views over the Maniace Fort to the other side of the bay, All the old town of Ortigia is within a few minutes walk. The apartment is equipped with everything that you could need for your stay ans Stephanie made the booking and arrival process very easy for us. If you are thinking of staying in Siracusa (which we would highly recommend) this would provide an excellent base for your stay.

Perfect apartment in a perfect position

This is a wonderful property to stay in. The views from the apartment and roof terrace are lovely. The apartment is also very comfortable and kept nice and cool during our stay when the weather was hot. Stephanie was an excellent and helpful host during our stay as well. Previous reviews have mentioned the restaurant below and whether this would be noisy during peak season. We had no issues with this at all. This is a quieter spot on the island yet just minutes from shops, bars and restaurants.

A wonderful week

Beautifully appointed apartment with a stunning roof terrace and gorgeous view out over the coastline of Ortigia. Perfectly located for everything on the island and Stéphanie was such a kind host - full of brilliant tips for where to eat and find the best aperitivi. Fantastic find

A beautifully refurbished and comfortable apartment with wonderful views from the French doors and roof top terrace. There is a restaurant underneath the apartment, but it was closed while we were there, so it might be noisy when it's open and the height of the season. Can't see that being a deal breaker in any shape or form. Small 'corner shop' minutes away, and there's the daily market close to the bridge, so you don't need to travel far to sort out your self catering. Parked our car in the public 'underground' car park, 8 minute walk. The pay machine might have been playing up- charged us 1 euro for 4 days parking!!! Get in !!! Overall, a lovely apartment and a great base from which to explore the island- we lazed and did nothing while we were there - recharging our batteries- but would come again and explore.

We had the most wonderful relaxing week!

The flat is stylish, beautifully presented with lots of light and all you could need. Fantastic location and stunning terrace views. Bed was very comfortable and WiFi was great. Stephanie was a super host who happily arranged taxis and made recommendations which were good. All in all- a wonderful place to enjoy the delights of the island of ortigia.

Beautifully appointed apartment with everything we needed

A wonderful place to enjoy some piece and quiet and soak in the atmosphere of this historic old town. Situated outside of the hustle and bustle around the main tourist areas, only a minute away from the main activities but so peaceful at night and during the day. Very well equipped fully working kitchen with plenty of equipment to keep two amateur chefs very happy! even a working oven which seems a rarity in Italy! Stephanie gave us a fabulous set of recommendations of places and venues to visit and was helpful without being intrusive. Gorgeous space for a couple to enjoy - every night we sat on the roof terrace and marvelled at the views. And such a great view to wake up to in the morning - blue skies, sparkling sea and the duomo over the water. Parking at Talete is a 10 minute walk away. 2 swimming places very close by. 2 small food shops close by. Perfect for lots of bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend. Would love to return! Grazie mille!!!!

Lovely Apartment with Great Views, Superb Location

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at delightful Casa Rosa dei Venti in early July, 2017. I had searched probably every vacation rental on Ortigia and this was the best on the whole island. We even paid for 6 nights in order to stay for 5 because it was still a good value. Stephanie was responsive and helpful so the logistics went smoothly. The apartment was spotless and new and the location was perfect. We loved the views from the bedroom, kitchen/living room and terrace and had fun observing the neighborhood. We cooked several nights and our nightly routine became walking in a couple minutes over to the main piazza to people watch and get gelato. The weather while we were there was incredibly hot (as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit at times) and that was difficult, but the air-conditioning was efficient and quickly cooled down the apartment each time we returned from exploring. I highly recommend Casa Rosa dei Venti for a stay on Ortigia.

Lovely Apartment

Wonderful!

It is a most beautiful property, with stunning views. Stephanie looked after us so well and recommended the best fish restaurant I have ever eaten in. ORTIGIA AGOSTO 2017

Abbiamo trascorso circa due settimane nella bellissima isola di Ortigia per la quale è superfluo lasciare commenti perché si commenta da sola....L'appartamento è a dir poco meraviglioso....curatissimo in tutti i dettagli, pulitissimo e con tutte le comodità (lavatrice, lavastoviglie etc) e con una vista mozzafiato sul mare. Abbiamo fatto delle cene romanticissime sullo splendido terrazzo. Infine la posizione centrale di questa casa chiude il cerchio. Una splendida ed indimenticabile vacanza. Consigliamo vivamente un soggiorno in questo fantastico appartamento. Un ringraziamento particolare a Stephanie, gentilissima e con tanti utilissimi consigli per un soggiorno da favola ! Ortigia holiday

Lovely flat and very well appointed with great outlook over the bay from the terrace. Ortigia and Syracuse all accessible on foot. Parking at 10E a day adds up and not aware of parking restrictions when booking.

A perfect place. A perfect view.

This flat was perfect and fitted all our needs. Stephanie arranged everything and was very welcoming and informative. Ortigia was a lovely place to stay and we had the fantastic sea view on one side and the interesting alleys and the market on the other. Plenty to see and do in the week we were there and we were glad we had decided not to hire a car. We would definitely recommend it to others.

Amazing holiday

We spent a week with my friend in this beautiful totally newly restored flat and we already wish to come back in a few months !The view from each room is really amazing and we had our aperitif every evening on the terrace. The inside is all modern, bright and comfortable. A big thanks to the owners for their warm welcome and good tips.

A Perfect Sea-View Setting

We stayed 8 nights in this lovely apartment. The facilities are modern and our host was helpful with recommendations on places to eat and drink. We shopped the market for seafood and fresh produce and prepared delicious meals at home whike dining on the rooftop terrace overlooking the sea.

Fabulous location

You couldn’t ask for a better location for your stay in Siracusa. An amazing view of the water and buildings from the kitchen and bedroom areas as well as from the large terrace on the second floor where we enjoyed many a meal or glass of wine overlooking the water. The apartment is super modern and comfortable and the hostess most accommodating. This is our second stay and well return again

Wonderful flat with stunning views

My husband and I recently stayed here and it was a really wonderful experience. The flat is conveniently located, very clean, well maintained, and has fantastic views. Communicating with Stephanie was very easy, she was incredibly responsive (even closing the shutters for us while we were away during a storm), and she had great local suggestions. We will definitely come back if we are in Ortigia again. Highly recommended! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Marvelous location

The view and location of the apartment is even better then the pictures show. From the balcony and the rooftop you see and hear the see and look to the old city. From the apartment you have everything at walk distance. Morning and evening light are wonderful. Stephanie as host is very good, so do ask her local tips! A location to come back form
