Wonderful cottage

We had a fantastic time staying at Ken and Caroline’s cottage. We walked around the small village, played basketball at the park and went on day trips to Stirling, Balloch/Loch Lomond and to Time Capsule water park for the kids. We loved our week. Thank you for everything!

Lovely cosy cottage in beautiful country setting

Me and my two children (7 and 4) had an amazing week at Lilybank. The cottage is like a home from home - so comfy and cosy. The garden is beautiful and perfect for relaxing in after a long day exploring. The village is lovely and peaceful with a great pub and convenient grocery shop. It's also well placed to explore the surrounding area.

Great week at Lilybank

We really enjoyed our week at Lilybank in Killearn, which was a very nice little village. There were great walks in the immediate area, ranging up to 11 miles. Just walk out the front door. Good restaurants close at hand (Old Mill Inn in Killearn; Clachan in Drymen). Lovely sitting out back at the cottage in the evenings.

A home rather than a holiday let.

We were very comfortable in the cottage which was quirky, spacious and very well equipped. The owners had thought of everything- a real ‘home from home’ and in a good location both for walking locally and travelling further afield.

Beautiful and cosy house

My partner and I stayed for five nights and felt like being at home. The house is full of character, very well decorated and maintained. The main bedroom has the most comfortable bed we slept on with the Tempur mattress. The fire place in the living room makes it so cosy in the evenings when we had it on. Ken is very nice and friendly, sent us a lot of useful information before we arrived and was in touch after we were there to make sure we are ok. The food from the local pub was one of the best meals we've had. The village is small and charming, close to a lot of stunning nature places. Overall amazing place to stay. We will definitely return :)

A beautiful home with bags of character in a beautiful part of the world!

We really enjoyed our holiday. The house is full of character and history with lovely gardens to the rear. The village of Killearn is a great central location to Discover what Scotland has to offer! The village itself is beautiful with lots of great walks from the house. There is a coop within a very short walk and a great local pub 10mins walk away. You can tell that this is someone’s home and not just a holiday let. It’s very well appointed with all that you would need and has a great comfy homely feel to it. We loved it that much that we hope to stay again soon! Ken and Caroline were great hosts and gave us lots of tips for things to do with the mountains of brochures and maps that are provided in the home. They were great communicators ready to answer any questions we had almost immediately. I would thoroughly recommend this home to anyone looking for a cozy holiday in this beautiful part of Scotland!

Very cosy cottage

We booked 4 nights here. A lovely cottage with lots of quirky features and furnishings, well equipped. We were very comfortable. We cooked in which was easy with the range and good pots and pans. Also ate out at the The Old Mill, the food there and welcome was great. Walked up Conic Hill, visited the RSPB reserve, Luss, Comrie for evidence of beavers, Deils Cauldron and kept finding nice coffee shops for lunch. Loch Lomond is beautiful. In Killearn the Co-op is 2 steps away, the Old Mill a short walk. A great break.
