5 Star home from home in Snowdonia - where the mountains meet the sea

Wern Cottage is situated near Conwy at the edge of the Snowdonia mountain range. It is also close to the North Wales coast and the beautiful island of Anglesey, 'Ynys Môn'. It lies in the village of Capelulo….where the mountains meet the sea.

The Cottage

This property does not accept pets.

Wern has been recently re-decorated and is furnished to a very high standard. The cottage was awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2019.

Featuring one double bedroom with an ensuite shower and basin, one twin bedroom, a modern bathroom, fully equipped cottage style dining/kitchen with a dishwasher, washer/dryer and a wood burning stove. The comfortable lounge has two sofas and a Freeview Digital TV (BT Vision) and Xbox 360. Just off the lounge is a small conservatory looking out towards the coast and surrounding hills, an ideal spot to take breakfast and to enjoy some quiet relaxation.

(Please note: there is just the one toilet at the property in the main bathroom on the first floor. The ensuite to the main bedroom is just a shower and wash basin).

There is modern gas central heating throughout the cottage which is easily controlled via a British Gas Hive thermostat.

We also provide for your comfort:

Log burning stove. (supplied with logs in the cooler months October to March)

Fine views towards the coast and the surrounding hills.

Small enclosed garden, 2 decked areas and BBQ. A new summerhouse was installed in 2017 so you can now enjoy sitting out in the garden whatever the weather.

Free Wi-Fi internet access is also provided for your convenience, (laptop/mobile device required).

Digital Freeview TV (BT Vision) Includes free access to Netflix HD subscription.

New Washer / Dryer installed in 2017.

Please also note the staircase of approx. 12 steps for those with mobility issues. There is a strong handrail and we have a photograph of the staircase on the main page. Please contact us if you have any questions about mobility. Please note there is a security camera overlooking the driveway which is monitored for security purposes but not recording. Our policy states a maximum of 4 overnight guests at the property. Any evidence that this policy has been violated risks eviction of the guests and a probable extra charge. Relaxing break

The cottage is exactly how it it was described. If i was to imagine an idyllic cottage in the hills of Wales this would be it. We really enjoyed are short stay and would recommend the cottage to any guest.

Home from Home. Cottage

We had an excellent stay at Wern Cottage, so cosy and very well equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. The owners Jane and Lawrence kept us informed as to how to find the property as well as delivering on thoughtful personal touches to make our stay special. The cottage was just as we expected and in a great position for seeing the sights of Conwy and surrounding towns. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely Cottage

Wern is a lovely cottage in a picturesque setting. It is equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The cottage is very clean & comfortable. Small garden to sit in enjoying a glass of wine. There are lovely walks right from the door to enjoy. A short walk away is the friendly Fairy Glen pub. Good choice of meals & generous helpings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wern.

Second time at Wern Cottage

We had another enjoyable stay at Wern. The cottage is homely and has everything you need and a parking space off the road. It's in a good location with plenty of walks from the doorstep, including a path opposite the Fairy Glen Hotel that takes you down to the beach. We also cycled to Conwy along the off road cycle trail which is mostly flat and takes about 30mins. Will certainly go back again.

Idyllic

A beautiful presented property that had everything we needed for our stay. The area was idyllic for some lovely walks, a 10 minute drive to a lovely beach and convenient, but not close) for the a55. The owners were friendly and informative in their communications. We lived our stay there and world definitely book again and highly recommend.

Lovely Cottage

Very well equipped & clean cottage we have nothing to complain about we really enjoyed our stay, 10 out of 10. There’s a local pub just yards away and a brilliant new restaurant opened up in the village we we’re lucky enough to get in on the opening evening it’s called The Peacock Lounge the food was amazing.

Perfect in every way

What a truly beautiful cottage. Decorated to extremely high standards, spotlessly clean and full of everything you need on a self-catering break. The garden is lovely too, plenty of birds to spot on the feeders! Jane and Laurence have thought of everything to make your holiday experience a great one - including the wine, Welsh cakes and fresh flowers. The Fairy Glen pub is a 5 min walk, the food is lovely and well priced. We had a glorious time and will definitely return in the future. Thank you for being such brilliant hosts x

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location

We had a lovely few days at Wern cottage.The cottage was lovely and was equipped with everything including beautiful views from every window,a real home from home.There’s a pub called the Fairy Glen at the end of the road which was nice and the beach,Conwy,Llandudno are close by.The communication from Jane and Laurence was excellent and would highly recommend Wern Cottage. Great Cottage had everything we needed

Great cottage, very helpful hosts. The house had everything we needed and was in a lovely village location but also convenient to get to the main roads. The upstairs of the house was very hot but it was an incredibly hot weather week, fans were available. I would stay here again.

Lovely break

We have just had a lovely break at Wren Cottage. The cottage was lovely and comfortable. Communication from the hosts has been excellent. We really enjoyed our stay, this cottage is in a great location for a lot of days out.

Couldn't fault the house or location. Lovey views. Appreciated the wine and Welsh cakes. Close to the Fairy Glen pub and the path opposite follows the stream all the way to the beach, 25 mins walk.

Fantastic hosts

We had a great time. The owners met us at the property and made us very welcome. Some of the little touches make such a difference. Only negative, which is only a small negative, is that the local restaurant had closed down and the local pub was not open every day and everything else was a drive out. Only a small inconvenience and due to the time of year I'm sure
