The Villa is absolutely stunning, modern & spotlessly clean with everything in the right place and a place for everything. Contact with the fantasics hosts George & Stella was first class. Lovely House

This house was perfect for our family holiday with our 3 grown up children. Everyone had their own space yet we were able to have great meals, swims, watch films, play pool together etc. The views from the house are amazing. It helps if you have a car whilst staying here. Aswell as eating in, we also ate out alot and never had a bad meal. Most restaurants are good if you like mediterranean food. We loved going into the small village of Koutsouras which is just about an 8 minute drive from the house with a cute little beach and great Tavernas. The Big Blue Beach Bar also does great breakfasts. Thank you Anna for bringing over a lovely homebaked apple cake which was delicious. We have a swimming pool at home and my husband is very fussy about the cleanliness of it and will not let anybody go in a pool until he has tested it. This house pool was the cleanest he has known. Everything is well looked after and we would recommend.

Stella and her mum were very helpful and lovely apple cake. Generous food etc was left in fridge which was perfect for our first night. The villa is lovely, great pool, pool Room. The local beach was beautiful and the Beach tavern highly recommended for good local Greek food.

Fantastically well equipped villa with spectacular views

The villa is vast with a great pool table and small gym. The terrace has great views of the sea as does the balcony. A short walk down a steep hill to the beach and a welcoming bar and restaurant. There are a number of other excellent restaurants a short drive away and further afield there is plenty to do - we rented a boat from Agios Nikalaos. Stella was on hand with any issue you may have (although we had none) and with some good suggestions of where to go and what to see. I would highly recommend the villa and the wonderful Stella.

Excellent villa & host

Lovely stay at the villa. There were 3 adults and 4 teens so plenty of room for us in the villa and around the pool. Stella was an excellent host, always available to assist us with queries. The odd issue was resolved immediately. Would definately recommend a car as the villa is in a very quiet location and the cost of taxis added up over the week. The beach was nice, just a 5 minute walk and has beach bar and basic restaurant there. We got takeaway delivered from Obelix pizza which was tasty and very reasonable. The welcome groceries were brilliant and really appreciated. Much more than a few basics. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and the home baked apple cake from Stellas mum.

Fantastic villa! The views are beautiful and you can even hear the sea from the villa.

Beautiful property, great host and truly a relaxing getaway.

Do not let the travel time from airport to villa put you off booking this property, car hire was quick and easy and the roads safe and quiet and parking at the villa. Set in a beautiful location, 5 minutes walk to the beach which has a wonderful taverna and great food. A few local shops around and a supermarket just a 20 minute drive away. George was there to greet us on arrival and was very welcoming. Whilst we did not require any additional assistance during our trip, he was always just a call away. The fridge was full of food and drinks which was a great added touch after a long days travelling. There is everything you could ask for at the villa, that we rarely felt the need to venture out. There is a golden sandy beach just a 10 minute drive with cafes and sun beds and ideal for kids with shallow waters. We hope to return in the future with family! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Lovely villa in a quiet location with fantastic views.

Beautiful villa and great location. Villa had everything you need. Only Critisism is that the pool is very steep from the shallow end and difficult to stand up without slipping. It appears a theme in Greece and I don’t understand why it drops away so quickly from 0.6m to 2.0m. Minor detail and didn’t spoil out stay.

Sept 2020 villa Ariane

Just back from our two holiday at villa Adriane. With all the stress of coronavirus it was perfect. A beautiful home with plenty of wow factor. The pictures are very accurate. We were there with our three grown up children and their partners and for the first time ever - no arguments over bedrooms. All four en-suite and of the same high standard. George and Anna were perfect hosts. There if we needed them and Stella on the phone In Athens with perfect English. Anna’s legendary apple cake and one night she even cooked for the eight of us. Thank you. It’s been an incredibly difficult summer for Crete with Covid but we felt much safer in Acilia than back here in England. With uncertainty over travel George and Anna were willing to leave the Payment right until the last few days. In fact due to a problem with the HomeAway website we weren’t able to pay the balance until we arrived. So thank you for that. In these uncertain times it was very reassuring. So much to recommend but our highlight was the day we rented a private boat. Recommended by George - I think it’s his cousin. It cost 1400 euros and that was reduced but between 8 of us it wasn’t so bad. Amazing day - delicious food and wine from start to finish and an hour all to ourselves on Chrisie Island. Must mention the barbecue and pizza oven. Great fun. The children even cooked. Thanks again George, Anna and Stella The connell famiky.

We had a wonderful time at the beautiful villa , it was exactly as shown on home away. The facilities were second to none and the family who rent it are very friendly and very helpful. Superb villa and great hospitality

Our feedback for this holiday was five star....from initial queries, through booking, paying, arriving and leaving. Stella, Anna and George made everything easy and nothing was too much trouble. George and Anna's hospitality was outstanding, not only being there to welcome us and bid us farewell, but bringing us a wonderful homemade Greek meal on Sunday and then a delicious apple cake later in the week. We took their recommendations for Airport Transfers and Car Hire and everything went very smoothly. The villa lived up to our expectations, it was every bit as stunning as the pictures show. The kitchen was very well equipped up and had been stocked up with everything that we could need for the first few days of our holiday. The villa was immaculate and was kept so with the pool area being cleaned daily and the beds and linens changed every few days. All four bedrooms were even sized and had en-suite, so there were no arguments as to who got which room. We spent most of our time around the pool - really appreciating the comfortable loungers and also the large shaded area. We also enjoyed the fitness equipment in the cellar and especially the pool table. Although there are a beach and a couple of tavernas within walking distance we would definitely recommend having a car - for visits to the Supermarket and a wider variety of restaurants. We would definitely recommend Villa Ariadne for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday with top quality accommodation!

Absolutely the very best!

I have nothing but praise and adoration for Ana and George, sweet Abigailia and the entire property. The house was exquisite. So well appointed, clean, comfortable, and beautiful we literally never left. We walked down to the beach twice and at dinner at the local taverna twice but that was it. The property was too amazing to leave! And that’s saying something because Crete is beautiful and even the local beach was beautiful! The views from the pool are spectacular and can be seen from all over the property. The pool area is amazing. The game room is great. Plenty of space. Plenty of bathrooms. Fabulous showers with lots of good hot water. Ice maker in the fridge. And the fridge. ... fully stocked with beautiful fruit, milk, eggs, etc. the very best hospitality and the very place run by the very best people. We will definitely be back next year. We never wanted to leave and I wanted to make George and Ana and Abigailia part of my own family. Best people ever. Please book this place. You will love every inch and every second of it.

Perfect Villa!!

We had an unforgettable holiday in a beautiful villa. It had everything we needed, plenty or room for my son to learn to crawl, a generous sized pool for my daughter to learn to swim, the conditional of the villa is immaculate, the outdoor cooking area is fantastic, and the kitchen is well stocked with every item you could need. George and Anna were very welcoming, and arriving to a stocked fridge and cupboards certainly eases your arrival!!! The sunrises from the balcony over the coast is breathtaking.

Fabulous Villa with outstanding sea views

The Villa was amazing! The views were breathtaking and overall comfort was really great. A beautiful Villa, a delightful place to stay.

We, a family of three generations, stayed in this beautiful Villa in May. It is very close to the beach and tavernas, and a short drive to a small supermarket. We unfortunately arrived at 4:30 am, owing to a 2 hour flight delay followed by over an hour at the Avis car rental desk collecting pre-booked cars. Nevertheless, Georgios and Anna were there to meet us and make us feel very welcome! The Villa was immaculate, comfortable and very tastefully furnished. The fridge and kitchen cupboards had been generously stocked. Our two small grandchildren loved the pool, especially when they found the button that turned on the jacuzzi! The outside area has both sunny and shaded areas close to the pool so that we could watch over the children. We used the built in barbecue most days. We found Crete a very friendly, safe and easy place to visit. We drove to several beaches east and west of the Villa, which were uncrowded and delightful. Many thanks to Georgios and Anna for being so friendly and helpful, and especially for the homemade birthday cake brought to us on my wife's birthday! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this beautiful Villa.

Fantastic villa with modern decor and spacious both inside and outside.

We had a wonderful family holiday and spent a large amount of our time at the villa, making the most of the beautiful outdoor space. Whilst we didn't use the pizza oven, we certainly made good use of the BBQ and alfresco dining. The shaded area outside was great and enough room to put the sun beds so we could sit Out of the sun with our baby. Excellent welcome from the owners. The fridge and cupboards had been filled with all essentials which was amazing as we arrived late at night and we had a lovely surprise when the lady bought an amazing home made apple and cinnamon cake round to the villa as a treat. Would recommend having a car so that you can get around but there are 2 lovely tavernas, 1 on the beach and both in walking distance with nice food and always a warm welcome. The view from the villa is stunning, we shall miss waking up and looking out at the beautiful sea. Thank you so much to Stella and her family.

Amazing Villa, amazing views and amazing owners!!

We had a fabulous time in probably the best villa we have rented. Wonderfully kept, with great cleaners and modern everything. Owners were amazing and we're always available if we needed them but left us alone to enjoy our holiday. Only ever interupted when our host appeared with fabulous foods and fruit for us to try. Fantastic Villa Walking Distance From Superb Beach

Our family of four including two teenage boys spent a fun-filled week at the well appointed and conveniently located Villa Ariadne in July 2017. Set up on a hill overlooking one of the nicest beaches in Greece, the Villa is about a 15 minute drive to the east of Ierapetra on the southern coast of Crete. The views overlooking the beach and the sea are spectacular at all times of the day, from dawn to sunset. The Villa is contemporary in style, and is well appointed with modern appliances and amenities, with the fastest Wi Fi I have experienced in Crete. There are several outdoor terraces, with the main covered terrace adjacent to the large salt water swimming pool. Here there are BBQ facilities along with a real brick oven, and a large dining table. The air conditioning units are quiet and efficient when needed, and all the bedrooms and baths are comfortable and spacious. The basement features a game room, a hammam sauna, and most impressively, it has two windows looking directly into the outdoor swimming pool! The nearby Achlia beach is a five minute walk down the hill, and has covered sunbeds and a taverna. The water is crystal clear and we experienced some of the best snorkeling in Greece here, discovering lots of sea life, including an octopus, Moray eel, and many different types of fish. There are several very good restaurants and tavernas within a 15 minute drive, with large supermarkets located in nearby Ierapetra. Other activities include a nearby hike to a waterfall in the mountains, and the opportunity to spend take a boat ride to an offshore island for a day trip. The added bonus of this Villa are the owners, George and Anna. Their gracious hospitality, warmth, conversation, and gifts of fruit and food made our stay even more delightful. Villa Ariadne makes for a perfect family vacation spot, and we look forward to returning again one day.

Stunning villa and outstanding service and attention to detail

I can thoroughly recommend this villa. It's absolutely beautiful and extremely well equipped. A great deal of thought has been put into providing everything you may need and more. We were given a lovely welcome and the owners had left us a completely packed fridge on arrival including wine. It was very thoughtful. Anna even bought over a delicious cheese pie which we all loved. Nothing was too much trouble. They helped us with car hire at short notice and additional sunbeds. We felt looked after and they insisted if you need anything just ask. The villa is in a very secluded spot. You do really need a car. The beach and setting for the villa are stunning. There are two small tavernas near by. The beach one had live music and dancing and when we visited the one on the road we were made very welcome. It was family run and the owner joined us for raki and told us all about the area. That was lovely. The pool area of the villa is amazing and we had many lovely evenings watching the spectacular sunsets and barbecuing in the outside kitchen. We were a family group of eight. There is a lovely games room in the basement with a pool table,TV and exercise machines. The villa was cleaned literally from top to bottom every three days including changing all the bed linen and towels. Every morning the pool area is swept and tidied before you get up. Definitely the most beautiful villa we have stayed in and the best customer service we have experienced. A big thank you to Anna and Stella.
