The best host ever.

Frank was the perfect host from start to finish and clearly wanted us to enjoy Gozo going out of his way to tell us everything that might help us achieve that. The property lacked nothing. We especially appreciated all the balconies, giving either sun or shade for each moment of the day. The only down side for us was the noise of the road traffic at night, accelerating as they climbed the hill, but we come from a very rural area and are not used to any traffic at night.

Spacious house close to harbour

The house is great, clean and spacious. It is spread over 3 floors, with a roof terrace above, so a lot of stairs to deal with, but the view from the roof is gorgeous, across to Malta and Camino. There are balconies and terraces everywhere, the master bedroom has it's own bathroom AND large terrace ( though the view from there is not so good as building works are currently going on right behind the house). Air con is good in the bedrooms but you have to keep emptying buckets of water that it produces. It is about 10-15 min walk to the harbour, steep hill though, with steps at one point, so can be hard work coming back. There are no real beaches within walking distance to the house; you can swim from very rocky areas if you are brave, but best to travel. Frank is next door and very helpful with local info. I would have liked a beach a bit nearer but that was my fault for not researching properly! It's a great location for getting around the island and for the ferries.

Exploring Gozo

We have just returned from a 10 day stay in Gozo. We had a wonderful time, we booked this particular villa as the reviews were excellent, particularly regarding the host Frank and it did not disappoint. Frank was a fabulous host, from the time of booking until after we returned, his communication, advice and assistance was outstanding. His villa is immaculate and very welcoming with all the amenities you will need for your stay. With wonderful views over the local harbor, and a short walk down to all the bars and restaurants and a small beach at the end of the harbor for swimming and close to the ferry it was a great location. We explored Gozo on Frank’s bikes, some hired E bikes ( not cheap but great fun ) and buses which are very reliable, good value and air conditioned! We managed to see most of Gozo and also had a day out in Malta. I can highly recommend this villa and if we return this way will definitely stay again. Thanks again Frank for a fabulous time!!

Marvellous Holiday Home

Hands down, Frank was the best host ever! He simply took care of every single detail to make our stay in Gozo one of the most delightful summer holiday experiences we have ever had as a family. >From the very moment we reserved the holiday home, he gave us a very warmth welcome and provided so much valuable and useful pre-arrival information. Upon arrival to Gozo, he personally met us at the Ferry Terminal and drove us to the holiday home. We found the place very tidy, comfortable, spacious and superbly equipped with everything needed for a family group holiday. And he made our arrival even better with the home-made Gozitan Ftira, fresh bread and wine! The holiday home was very well located to cater for our needs; supermarket, small shops and some restaurants in the surroundings. Plus, it was a good starting point to explore the island flexibly with the kids. Again, we thank you very much, Frank. We certainly felt “home away from home”. And to those out there that might be interested in coming to Gozo, if you are looking for a good host, there is simply “no way” to go wrong with Frank! Wonderful time in a fantastic property!

We have spent 10 great days in Gozo and have wanted for nothing! Frank has provided everything you could possibly need. We have never stayed in such a well equipped holiday-let. His advice on what to do, where to go and how to get there was incredibly helpful and we were able to make the most of our time. Nothing was too much trouble and his passion for sharing the best of Gozo was evident in all communication with him. The restaurants in Ghajnsielem are great value and the food, both quality and quantity, is exceptional. However, when self catering we found that the supermarket and fish market provided all we needed. We enjoyed using the bikes to get to the shop or to ride down to the harbour for a quick swim and a drink. The snorkels and masks were used whenever we went to the beaches and we also took the vinegar in case of jellyfish stings. Fortunately we didn’t need it but it was reassuring to have just in case! Frank’s advice about wind direction and where to go to make the most of weather conditions was also very useful. We hadn’t considered the difference that can make when visiting a small island. We feel Frank should be considered a national treasure by the Gozitan tourist board! We highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit Gozo.

Welcoming, warm, winter walking holiday

We had a great time discovering Gozo with two kids (9 & 6), staying in Mediterranea Seaviews.The apartment has everything you might need (plug adapters, hair dryer, snorkels, washing & drying machine, bikes, baby high chair - the list goes on) and Frank was on hand to make sure we got the most out of our time here - with maps, bus routes, recommendations, bookings & advice. He even booked the taxi transfers for us, made sure we were well stocked with supplies from the supermarket and delivered our breakfast pastries. It made a big difference - an easy stress-free escape - thank you very much Frank. We enjoyed walking the cliff path, paddling in Feb (the kids), learning about the rich history of the island and enjoying beautiful views.

Great attention to Detail

From the outset, with the dedicated emails, it was obvious that great care and attention has been taken to ensure all guests have a comfortable stay. We loved the small touches, the local coffee beans, the water available without having to go to the supermarket, the snorkel sets individually sized, etc, etc. Thank you Frank for your consideration particularly for taking me to the pharmacy when my son was ill.

We found this to be a superbly equipped holiday let. We like to cook all our meals when away so this house was perfect for us with a great choice of terraces for each meal. The information provided was a great resource and helped us plan a series of coastal walks which gave us a lovely experience of Gozo and its wildlife in Spring. We would thoroughly recommend this and is a testament to the huge amount of work Frank has put into the property for a really enjoyable holiday.

Everything you could possibly wish for

This is now our third visit to Gozo and from Dwejra to Hondoq and everywhere in between, the island offers something for everyone! We have been lucky enough to see and have so many different experiences it's difficult to mention everything and we still didn't manage to do all that we wanted to! As for Mediterranea Seaviews, it is our second stay with Frank with a four year gap. The service, support and advice that is offered is always consistent and helpful. It is like staying with an old friend who always wants the best experience for you and this creates lots of memories that we all can treasure! Mediterranea Seaviews self catering with sea views is great for families – it's very spacious inside and outside with three seaview terraces and two country view balconies. Plus that, if you are travelling by car in Gozo, parking your hired car is no worries in front of the accommodation. There is plenty of free parking just in front Mediterranea Seaviews. Frank’s hospitality didn’t stop there. He even showed us some hidden gems with great views during his free local tour – some really Great places to see and very tasty, locally fresh food indeed which definitely we wouldn’t have found by ourselves! Not just Frank - there was Gozo as well!

So much has been said about Frank that I can add little more. He was supremely attentive and solicitous; over and above. Indeed, he seemed a little disappointed if his services were not required! Being very independent by nature we liked to sort things out for ourselves. Never-the less; it was a GREAT comfort to know he was there. He was the epitome of courtesy and good nature. As for Gozo - it swept us off our feet and we managed to 'cover' most of the Island during our 10 day stay. Packed with history, charm and stunning scenery. The highlight was possibly the trip to Comino Island- wow! We had a wonderful day there! The Citadel, The Ggantija Temples, The Rotunda at Xewkija and so much more; there was so much to do and see. The buses were always very punctual and very reasonable. The local supermarket was very good and easily met all our needs. The weather was almost perfect, apart from the last day or so when very high winds made it a little hard going - but it didn't spoil anything! The home is SO well equipped - Frank has thought of EVERYTHING! A real bonus was David the Baker each morning - fabulous and amazing value. I won't go on - this was a great holiday, in a lovely home ideally situated. Highly recommended and would do it again without a moments thought! Thank you Gozo and thank you Frank for your kindness and generosity.

Great accommodation, brilliant host!

I stayed at Mediterranea Seaviews for two nights only but wished it had been longer. Fabulous property and brilliant host, Frank, who does everything in his power to make your stay welcome. The property is conveniently located and next to bus stops that give you links to the rest of the island. The property itself is very spacious and has loads of balconies giving you sunshine whenever the sun shines. The accommodation has everything and more than you would expect and I was very luck to be given some of Frank's mum's home cooking whilst I was there, thank you so much, a fabulous stay.

A unique experience.

We have had an exceptional holiday made extra special by Frank. Everything he said he would do was done right from the moment we were met at the Mgarr ferry terminal, and immediately we felt we were at home. Not only were we briefed on the island, but we were taken food shopping, a tour of the island and treated to some island delights. We happened to mention John and Frances' 50th wedding anniversary when we booked a year ago. Frank did not forget this and to our complete surprise there was a wonderful lemon cake, baked by David in Nadur, a very talented baker, and we cannot thank you enough for the coffee and cake surprise. It certainly made our day. Thank you so much Frank for your kind attention to everything. Nothing was too much trouble, you are certainly unique!!! We felt as though we had our own personal travel agent.

5 stars are not enough!

From mornings watching the sky pinking over the sea, listening to bells ringing out across the villages as birds and a donkey greet the day; to evening stars and boat lights glittering over the ‘wine-dark sea’; we had a week of peace and joy at Mediterranea Seaviews on Gozo. Frank gave us from the start such kind attention and opened to us, not just his door, but a true insider’s perspective on this island and its life; so we encountered it not as strangers, but already as its friends. My husband and I were travelling with two adult children, and our daughter's fiance. No matter what your interests - activities, history, culture, architecture, food, wine - there is so much here to do. Whatever you fancy, from snorkelling in the Blue Lagoon or relaxing on the roof terrace, Frank has already furnished the house with the equipment for you to enjoy it! At Mediterranea Seaviews, everything has been thought of, every need or concern anticipated. Gozo is very walkable, and has an excellent bus service, but coming as first-timers we were unsure how easily we would get around as neither of us drives. Frank reassured us about this from the start, and we really appreciated his passion for conserving the island's environment. The location of Mediterranea Seaviews means that you can comfortably walk, bike or take a bus to Gozo's many fascinating and beautiful villages, each with its own character. From the Ghasri village feast with its mixture of piety and carnival; to the military might of Victoria’s Citadel; to the coast path and the dancing sea; the pretty resort-like relaxation of Marsalforn; and the great domes of so many remarkable churches – from unadorned stone, to scarlet and gold, painted, frescoed, mosaiced – we felt that we explored widely but with the benefits of Frank's familiarity and love for his homeland. We could return again and again and still find new places to see and learn a more profound sense of affection for Gozo. I can heartily recommend the ease and peace of mind our booking here brought. All was as simple as possible, and Frank’s assistance meant we had absolutely no anxieties, right from the first email we shared. I certainly hope we will return – at dinner on our last night we could all talk of nothing else! – and I can only thank Frank for giving our family a time together we will always treasure. Very peaceful home on a wonderful island.

From the initial contact with Frank, the experience has been very efficient from the booking to the transportation, the host was gracious and very welcoming. Frank is a sincere and generous host who provides the extra personal touches including a welcome lunch, and a thorough orientation to the island on arrival. He is an excellent ambassador for his beautiful home and island. We felt cared for – so at home, thank you. The house is spacious, clean and with everything we needed, including free Wi-Fi, beautiful views from the many balconies, peaceful and great to be in a typical Gozo home. The easy access to the bus and the use of the free bicycles allowed us to vacation "green" and enjoy not having to rely on a car. Nothing but a great vacation was experienced by all – I would definitely recommend Frank and his home on Gozo without hesitation. Many thanks.

“Not JUST a holiday rental...so much more”

I am reluctant to rave about 'Mediterranea Seaviews' for fear of it being difficult to book in the future, but I have to be truthful. I am not sure what made our recent stay here so special. Was it the house, the owner, Frank, or Gozo. Or was it simply the magical combination of all three? First,the house. Just five minutes by car from the ferry, you enter a lobby area that is also the main stair well. This area has the laundry equipment, bicycles and an array of 'I didn't think of that' items from shopping trolley to snorkels! A flight of stairs leads to the first floor landing, a ‘library’, better stocked than the Tourist Information office! From here you enter a lounge area (with flatscreen TV), leading to a dining area and then to a kitchen, beyond which are two double bedrooms. Off the kitchen is a bathroom. First impression is one of rustic Mediterranean charm, this hides a high level of sophistication and modernity such as an iPod docking station and a popcorn machine plus all the usual equipment you could ever need. From the first floor landing, take the stairs to the second floor to arrive at another lounge area (with computer and excellent WiFi). From here you access a large East facing terrace with stunning views over the country side to the sea and Comino. Beyond this room is a third double bedroom with a large bathroom. Beyond the bedroom is another terrace. This house is the best equipped holiday rental I have ever stayed in. It has everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail is amazing. The location, the excellent restaurants and supermarkets in easy walking distance all go to make this a perfect home from home. I could go on but I would spoil your surprises! Which brings me to Frank.. Frank is the perfect host. The communication, from the booking process to the end of our stay was perfect. He is there for you, just as much as you need him to be, no more and no less. He is passionate about Gozo and his home town. He is very knowledgeable and helpful, his sole purpose seems to be to make his guests feel special and have the best EXPERIENCE possible. His briefing about Gozo saves hours and ensures that your time is tailored to your preferences and not that of an anonymous guide book writer. I cannot praise him enough. In the world of holiday home rental he is one in a million! You are already considering Gozo, don't think about it too long and risk missing the opportunity to experience this very special combination

Best accomodation ever had

As quite experienced travellers we never stay in big hotels where you are just a “number”. Since many years we stay at small family-run accommodations, B&Bs or in privately-run apartments. Reason is the friendly contact with the owners and the hospitality we receive. I wrote this to let you know that we really can compare with other stays in the past. And believe me: the stay at your big home with all the comforts was the best! We appreciated all your tips and the excursions to the pre-Easter processions very much. If we will come back to Malta/Gozo I hope you will have space for us again. I will highly recommend your house to friends which intend to visit the islands. Regards to your mother as well as for her well-tasting sandwiches and the cleanliness at Mediterranea Seaviews!

In love with Gozo

This trip was by far one of the best we have taken, and it had a lot to do with the location of Mediterranea and Frank! Frank was an incredible host. Not only did he brief us on what Gozo had to offer, but he also gave us directions on how to get to those places. We really feel like we experienced all of Gozo's historical sites and their secret gems in the short amount of time we were there. The people of Gozo are incredible! This community is one of the nicest and giving places we have ever visited.Also, the location of the Mediterranea was perfect! We were walking distance to all the necessities (grocery, restaurants, ferry, bus stops, etc.); and you cannot beat any of the gorgeous views on any of it's 3 terraces. Everything was perfect! Clean, plenty of towels and linens, lunch upon our arrival, and all of the amenities you can think of! You really get 5-star service/experience, while living in the comfort of your own home. I cannot say enough good things about Gozo, the Mediterranea, and Frank. We miss it already!

Stunning, beautiful, relaxing.

Having stayed in many 5* hotels and self catering establishments around the world I am definitely giving this one 6* plus. Thank you so much for making our stay in your house quite a unique experience, which began with your initial emails that gave us so much detail; from the wonderful welcome you and your mum gave us, the attention to detail you provide is simply outstanding. This holiday on Gozo will stay in our memories forever. Thank you once again.

Dear Frank
In the 8 months we have been on the road travelling our way from Australia to Europe, this is the first place we have felt truly at home. Malta and Gozo was a last minute decision to visit enroute to Greece and it was the best decision we have made yet! We absolutely love it here and what has made it even more special, Frank, is your beautiful home and wonderful hospitality. We have stayed in many accommodations around the world and Mediterranea Seaviews is by far the best we have stayed in and your hospitality and kindness has exceeded any other host. You have thought of everything your guest would need to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. The welcome lunch was a beautiful gesture, pickup and drop off from the ferry. Taking your time to sit with us and share your knowledge of Gozo, even the trip to the beach has made our stay all that more memorable. Our only regret is that we did not stay long enough, but it gives us an excuse to come back next year and spend much longer. To us this is the perfect escape and we have come to think of it as our second home. Thank you for everything Frank. You are an absolute star. See you next year!
