Il Poggiarello is a home away from home. Il Poggiarello is a gem countryhouse in one of the most beautiful and exclusive locations in Tuscany. It is perfect for a family, for one or two couples or a small group of friends exploring Tuscany and the beauties of the Montalcino area. The property has been renovated and redecorated in January 2024.

Il Poggiarello is located on the top of a hill with amazing views from every corner, a beautiful and large veranda overlooking the pool.

Il Poggiarello is made of 2 large double bedrooms and a spacious living room which can be easily turned into a comfortable bedroom.

The house is decorared with the highest standards and attention to detail and benefits from alla modern accessories.

Moreover in the house you will find contemporary art works since I collect contemporary art and share one of my interests with my guests.

Montalcino is a lovely village where there are many things to do or you can do nothing and enjoy the beauty of Il Poggiarello, its views, its silence and magic.

Although close by, Il Poggiarello is completely separated from the main house, with a garden of its own and a secluded terrace for outdoor meals and sunbathing offering the most wonderful view over the vineyards, the valley and the mount Amiata in the distance. Paths starting out from the house lead to wonderful walks both into the vineyards and the woods.

Whether you stay by the pool, you admire the view from our rooms or you go wondering in the vineyards you will be enchanted by this magical place. Montalcino is ideally situated to visit Tuscany: Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d’Orcia, San Giminiano, Saturnia and its thermal hot springs, Cortona are all less than one our drive. Montalcino is also known internationally for its famous Brunello di Montalcino and we will be happy to assist you in organizing some customised visit to your preferred producer.

The pool measures 12 meters x 5 meters and has a beach area with shallow water perfect for children or simply for those who want both the sun and the water!

The house has been also further improved with a new kitchen and dining area, and a new terrace and BBQ area outdoor.

Il Poggiarello is surrounded by a well looked after garden and offers an accommodations which combines a very high standard furniture and all modern comforts while maintaining the magical beauty of Tuscany. All bed and bath linen are also supplied, satellite TV, unlimited WiFi access. spacious bathroom/shower room, independent heating and air conditioned.

Il Poggiarello is composed by:

- A fully equipped kitchen with everything you require from simple breakfast or a refined dinner.

A little corner of paradise

The villa is on the top of a hill from where you can admire the lovely Tuscan landscape. It has been renovated with care and offer all what you need to spend lovely holidays. From the beautiful swimming pool to the outside terrace where you can relax and have dinner under the stars, everything is in place to offer you a genuine yet modern and comfortable experience. Camilla, the owner, was taking care of the quality of our stay like a friend would have done. The only think we wanted when leaving (and still want) is to come back. And we will!

Lovely villa with stunning views

Il Poggiarello is in the most stunning setting with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. We had a great week here - loved the villa, terrace and the pool. We did not meet Camilla herself but her mother was very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed exploring the towns and villages nearby - this part of Tuscany is so beautiful. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to return some day!

fantastic Tuscany getaway

We spent a fantastic week in Tuscany at this place. It was everything that we expected and more. Sitting on top of a hill with a nice breeze we enjoyed every bit of our stay. Montalcino is a mere 15 minutes drive yet the house is in the most beautiful middle of nowhere. Kids had a blast in the pool after exploring the region during the day. And we enjoyed peaceful evenings listening to nothing but nature. The only caveat was that we had bit of a wasp problem and couldn't enjoy breakfasts outside. Im sure Camilla will take care of that (if she hasnt done already as she takes care of everything right away to ensure her guests feel at home and have a great time)

What an amazing place - a true Tuscan experience!

Our family of four spent an incredible week at Il Poggiarello in July. The villa was amazing - set on a top of a hill surrounded by idyllic Tuscan landscape. It is truly a breath taking place - the picture do not do justice! Camilla did an incredible job decorating the place - she managed to preserve the "old world charm" with today's luxuries. We absolutely loved the pool and terrace - it was perfect for enjoying al fresco dinners and watching the sunset. Camilla was an incredible host and went boyond her duties to arrange private wine tour, pool- side massage and a private chef that prepared an incredible multi-course meal for our family. Our stay in Tuscany could not have been more perfect. We can hardly wait to go back and will definitely stay at Camilla's place again. Thank you Camilla for sharing your special place with us!

Le paradis de la Toscane

Nous avons passe un séjour de rêve dans ce magnifique environnement. L'accueil de Camilla, la qualité et le raffinement des équipements, une piscine superbe, difficile d'être plus exigent. Cerise sur le gâteau, le repas prépare et servi par Roberto et sa fille: incontournable! La région est superbe, beaucoup de belle nature dans cette réserve naturelle du val d'Orcia. A perfect place to stay in Tuscany

Il Poggiarello is the perfect place to spend a week in Tuscany. The house is clean, bright and comfortable with lots of space. But the best part is outdoors with a huge private patio and a picture perfect pool. The views over the vineyards are exactly how you image Tuscany and are hard to leave. The location is very peaceful and private, but with that a car is a must as Montalcino is a 10 min drive away. The owner is extremely helpful with suggestions to make your stay more enjoyable and able to book great wine tastings at local places you would normally not hear about. I'm not sure we could have found a better place for our family trip to Tuscany.

A piece of Heaven

This place is a gem. Quite simply. The pictures do not do it justice. We spent a week at Il Poggiarello this summer, in the middle of a blistering heat wave. Thankfully, the pool and the AC made one of the warmest places in Italy not only livable, but very enjoyable. The property is beautifully laid out, the interior is lovingly decorated, with several elegant little touches and an impressive overall attention to detail. While we were staying at Il Poggiarello, we received very competent assistance by the caretaker Romano, a sweet and helpful man. Camilla had provided us with very helpful, detailed instructions on activities, restaurants and shops in the area, but we had a lot of fun just doing random exploratory trips around the countryside during the day. Note that a car is an absolute must, and a GPS is very helpful. The best part of the day, however, was the evening: First the last dip of the day in the beautiful, refreshing pool, followed by dinner in the sunset under the cast-iron pergola, and finally finishing the (local, of course) wine while the stars lit up the sky, and night sounds filled the air. This is as close to postcard-picture-perfect Tuscany as it gets. We will be back, if we ever get the opportunity again.

Das wunderschöne Il Poggiarello

Ein herrlicher Ort zum entspannen und die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Wir wurden sehr warmherzig und offen von unserer Vermieterin empfangen, die uns mit einer großen Flasche selbstgemachten Olivenöl, dem leckersten Wein der Region und liebevollen Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants und Weinbars willkommen hieß. Das Haus, der Garten, der private Pool sind wunderschön und luxuriös eingerichtet, sauber und einfach nur schön. Das Grundstück liegt auf einem einsamen Hügel und der traumhafte Blick raubt einem den Atem. Die Abende an dem großen Grill bei Wein in den hübschen Rattanmöbeln waren ein Genuß. Alles in allem ein perfekter Ort für seinen Urlaub! Der nächste Ort ist Montalcino, den man in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichen kann. Dieser bietet einem mit dem Supermarkt, wunderwollen Restaurant, Eisdielen und Weinbars alles was man im Urlaub braucht und ist bekannt für seine leckeren und begehrten Weine (Rosso oder Brunello di Montalcino). Wir können nur jedem empfehlen, seinen Urlaub wie wir dort zu verbringen und die Romantik der Toskana zu erleben.

Wunderschönes Landhaus in einmaliger Lage

Dies ist ein hochwertig und geschmackvoll renoviertes Landhaus in einer wirklich einmaligen Lage - auf einem Hügel gelegen, mit einem 360° Blick über eine toskanische Landschaft wie im Bilderbuch! Einzigartig! Das Haus ist komfortabel und die Besitzerin freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und viel in dieser sehr schönen Gegend unternommen. Dieses Haus bekommt von uns 6 von 5 möglichen Sternen!!!

beautiful place for goog vacations in toscany

The villa is very well located in the middle of toscany which is a good point for visiting (montalcino,pienza,sienna...).You are in the middle of the conntryside and the landscape is just amazing!the villa was clean and you can find every thing for cooking .the owner is very nice and does everything to make you feel good.I do recommend this villa where we spent wonderfull holidays.the owner camilla gave us a list with restaurants ,activities,shops...and I can tell that everything was exellent-especially the butcher and the restaurant"la pieve".Thus ,if you are interested in this property ,you won't be disappointed .

ESCAPADE AU MILIEU DES VIGNES

Le charme de la villa n'a d'égal que celui des propriétaires, Camilla et Dainy. Leur sens de l'accueil est chaleureux. L'aménagement est de bon gout voire luxueux. A ne pas rater : l'huile d'Olive de la maison et la vue imprenable sur le soleil couchant un verre de Brunello à la main. Pour les activités alentours, voiture et anticipation !! Les villages sont indépendants, voire rivaux (ça dure encore..) donc renseignements à prendre avant le départ. Nos coups de coeur : Bagni san Filippo et sa baleine blanche, escapade à cheval dans les collines, Montalcino-San Antimo-San Angello In Colle à vélo (le loueur vous reprend en fourgon, ouf !) et bien sur églises majestueuses, Brunello et Vino Nobile à volonté.

Il Poggiarello

The property was as expected. It consisted of the main building and the guest house, were we stayed. The guest house had two separate units with bathrooms, other had a kitchen. Rooms were very cosy and tidy, more than we could hope:) We had a pool at our disposal. It was big enough for two adults and two children. The pool was cleaned every other day. The buildings were situated in a little hill of its own. The hill was high enough to offer breathtaking view and scenery. The property had also some amount of olive trees. Other side of the way to property were wine yards, just like the tuscany landscape. The place was peacefull and relaxing. The owners were very helpfull and hospitable. Everything went excellent. Our sincere recommendations!

Beautiful Views

Beautiful sweeping hilltop views from this charming villa for sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed the full kitchen and option to cook in and enjoy the pergola and pool! If you stay here be sure to pin your location as it’s easy for GPS to get confused and the Villa is about 15 minutes from the town of Montalcino.

Stunning stay in paradise

Stunning stay in a gorgeous, peaceful, one-in-lifetime setting. The private pool and surrounding views were unmatched, and the cottage is perfectly appointed, well supplied, tastefully decorated, cozy, and relaxing. The property manager went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed, and her recommendations were top-notch. We will most certainly be back. You can’t miss a stay at this luxury property on your next visit to the Montalcino/Montepulciano area!

Perfect Family Landing Pad

We stayed here for 9 days with our family including three children, ages 6, 3, and 1.5, and it was perfect. We had just enough room to spread out and the kids adored the patio and pool. My husband and I took in the views after bedtime while enjoying a last glass of wine by the pool. The house had everything we needed and Camilla went above and beyond as our host. We saw so much of Tuscany, but the views from the house were some of the best. What a magical spot!!

I did not want to leave. Cheerful, stylish color pallet & decor. Good internet. Postcard views. Peaceful. Relaxing. Lovely outside terrace & pool. The quibbles-no television, no coffee machine, no microwave. Sofa & coffee table are more shabby than chic. Stains. Need replacing.

We enjoyed our stay at the villa, unfortunately on arrival the villa had not been cleaned since previous occupancy. Camilla was very good and arranged for cleaning the next day.

One word: perfect

The house has everything a family needs. We enjoyed the rest and silence, the wonderful pool, the nature, and the beautiful city Montalcino. We had very easy communication with Camilla and could ask her everything and had response very quick. It was nice to meet her when she and her husband arrived for the weekend in their own house. We will come back, that's for sure!

I saw the property and I simply fell in love with it amd I decided that it had to be my buen retiro. Only those who have lived it can understand its magic. Having travelled a lot in my life, I have seen many amazing places, but for me Il Poggiarello is the most amazing.

The position is unique. Il Poggiarello is on the top a hill and the view you can get from every angle is breathless. The house is cozy, warm, elegant but not pretentious, charming and modern at the same time. Most importantly, you will feel that you are in a real home, no other guests around you, just you, your family and friends..
