Lose yourself in the Alpujarra mountains of Andalucia and rediscover total peace and relaxation. Our holiday home enjoys stunning views of the Sierra Lugar from the terrace, set in a private garden of olive and fruit trees with private swimming pool. The house has the modern comforts of home whilst enjoying the delights of the Andalucian countryside. It has 2 spacious bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room which leads out through French doors to your private patio which provides shade for outdoor breakfasts etc.
Private entrance with car parking area. Terrace with BBQ, and access to the gardens. Feel free to pick your own grapes, figs, oranges, pears, lemons or avocados when in season.
Perfectly situated for a slice of real Spanish life, winter skiing, mountain villages and the beaches of the mediteranean are all on your doorstep.


Things to see and do: The Alpujarras offers a wide range of activities including horse riding, quad biking, paragliding, bird-watching and skiing in winter. You can visit the city of Granada with the famous Alhambra (we recommend you book in advance for this most popular attraction, advance tickets can be bought on https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es), the caves at Nerja and the spa town of Lanjaron. Mini Hollywood near Almeria is 2 hours away, or just explore the villages of the region with their whitewashed cottages and bougainvillaea covered walls.
For the golfers there is an excellent course at Motril, It is adjoining the beach so for the rest of the family who dont want to play can enjoy other relaxation. There is another course, Santa Clara in Otura.

Take it easy: For those who just want to 'chill' it is a great area to relax and do nothing, read a book, take a dip in the pool with the stunning mountains as a backdrop.

Orgiva: Orgiva is a busy market town with several supermarkets, banks, 2 internet cafes and a variety of bars and restaurants.. Market day is Thursday.

A little idyll

The property was exactly as described, immaculately clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday! We spent a lot of time relaxing in the lovely pool, surrounded by fruit trees of every type, and with a view to the mountains on both sides of the valley. But the property is also well located for day trips to Granada, Nerja and the beach - or for shorter trips to Orgiva and the surrounding mountain villages (Sopurtujar - the village of the witches - was particularly fun) Sheila and Jack were lovely hosts - they were always available to offer suggestions, lend us parasols for the beach etc - but were not intrusive. They hosted us for some fabulous tapas and our boys loved the two dogs, especially the regular visits from Missy!

Beautiful Views

Sheila and Jack were lovely and the villa was perfect for us. Stunning views and a short walk or drive from Orgiva which has plenty of places to eat and drink. Perfect for visiting the coast or Granada. We absolutely loved our stay and even left with some home grown olive oil.

Escape to paradise

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our weeks rural escape to paradise. The location and views were fabulous. Property well equipped and pool great. Enjoyed eating fresh figs from the tree for breakfast ever day and picking grapes from the vine to have with cheese for supper. Great hosts always on hand and helpful. We will be back.

Time to chill out.

Immaculate private villa set in beautiful gardens

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful villa which has everything you could need. We spent alot of time around the private pool (also immaculate) surrounded by lush green gardens. Peaceful location with a stunning mountain backdrop. Sheila & Jack are fabulous hosts, always on hand to help if required, and their knowledge of the surrounding areas is priceless. A real 'home from home' and we would not hesitate to return.

We had a fantastic time

We have just returned from Orgiva ,and i already think when to come back there .We spent a fantastic time at the Sheila and Jack holiday home.The house is comfortable, very cozy, and clean .Garden with olive trees is just beautiful. Our son loves spending time in the swimming pool. The mountain view, silent around and sun...That whats we needed to spend really relaxing holidays. Sheila and Jack are so nice and open people.Tkank you Jack for coming to the center to show us the way home:)Hope we back there...

Stunning location, lovely hosts

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Casa Pepe Rosa. Having arrived in the dark it was lovely to wake to the beautiful mountain views and the lovely spacious gardens and pool. The house was just right for the two of us, clean and homely and it provided for all our needs. We loved spending our evenings on the covered porch, with a glass of wine, watching the lightening and listening to the thunder rumbling around the mountains (there were several storms during our stay). Sheila and Jack were very friendly and welcoming, and were there if we needed anything, even providing us with fresh produce from their garden. We spent a very pleasant evening having drinks and tapas round at their house...Jack’s ‘Berenjenas con Miel’ are to die for! Missy and Holly were lovely too, providing lots of welcoming licks. Órgiva is a lovely town with a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars and is close enough to walk to if you prefer not to drive (approx 25 mins). We love the Moroccan restaurant Tetería Baraka as this caters for vegetarians and has a great ambience. There are a couple of reasonable sized supermarkets where you can get most things. We spent our days walking in the Sierra Nevada mountains, never tiring of the magnificent scenery and tranquility. We had intended to climb Mulhacén but unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough. It can’t be helped...we’ll just have to return next year, haha. If you prefer the beach, there are some lovely beaches only a 30-40 minute drive away. Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely recommend Casa Pepe Rosa. Thanks Sheila and Jack (but next time can you arrange some better weather 😁)

Beautiful villa

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in this villa. The villa itself is lovely with everything you need included, the pool is fantastic and ours kids (and us) loved being able to go into this whenever we wanted. Jack & Sheila were on hand for any questions that we had and made us feel so welcome. The added bonus of their dogs Missy and Holly was great! The dogs are so friendly and we all loved having them around. The location of the villa is stunning, surrounded by the Sierra Nevada mountains and very relaxing to be able to sit out in the garden. In terms of location, it is around 40 mins drive to the coastal towns of Costa Tropical and around 50 mins drive to Granada city. The mountain villages such as Bubion, Pampaniera etc are definitely worth visiting as well as Granada (Alhambra Palace etc). There is a good water park in Almunecar on the coast. Orgiva the main town is 5 mins away in the car and has nice restaurants, ice cream and supermarket. Overall, I would highly recommend this Villa. Thanks Jack & Shiela for making us feel so welcome.

Visiting our daughter.

This is our third year staying in the Orgiva area. The accommodation was great and we were very comfortable and the hosts were very helpful. We were very lucky with the weather and this meant we were able to go up to the Sierra Nevada where the scenery is amazing. Had lovely food and found people very friendly. Would go back there again. Loved the property and it’s location.

We found the property spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We have been coming to this area for 25 years and this is probably the nicest place that we have stayed. The peace and quiet made this a very relaxing stay with the pool and garden an added bonus. Sheila and Jack were ideal hosts; nothing was too much trouble. Perfect

Our last stay in Orgiva was 9 years ago so we were a little apprehensive about returning . We needn't have been - Casa Pepe Rosa was perfect for us. A comfortable house in an open, well- maintained garden with stunning mountain views in all directions. I could have spent all week just sitting watching the ever- changing light ( with a glass or two of wine!) but we knew that the surrounding area was stunning so we travelled up into the mountains and to the coast to walk and swim. Orgiva is well situated to visit so much beautiful scenery in the area with lots of tracks near to the house to walk and run on. The pool, although quite small was just what we needed to cool off in the hot October, afternoon sun followed by drinks under the ancient olive tree. We didn't feel the need to eat out much - just one lunch at Teteria Baraka in Orgiva to celebrate a special anniversary. We loved the Arabic food and the ambience in the restaurant. Maybe next year when we return we'll try others. We enjoyed every minute of our week in Orgiva - Jack and Sheila made sure that everything ran smoothly from booking to leaving with lots of helpful information. Looking back at our holiday will get us through the miserable British winter.

Lovely location and away from it all

Stayed here from 21st August to 30th August with my wife and our daughter, situated about 90mins away from Malaga Airport, Lovely location away from it overlooking the mountains, private gated entrance and its own pool and unlimited wifi which was a great hit with our daughter. Holiday home was lovely with lovely porch covering area which we spent many of an evenings sat passing the time away, kitchen area had everything we needed which was good we also had access to Sheila & Jacks Freezer which was very useful as fridge only has a small compartment for frozen items. Bedrooms were basic though comfortable, requested extra pillows prior to our arrival which was good. Plenty of space to sit and relax not just by the house but also next to the pool which was lovely to just get in and out when we wanted to. From time to time were visited by Sheila and Jacks dogs Missy & Holly. Spent many of an evening sat relaxing watching the world pass by, though we also watched the Thunderstorms and Lightening pass round the back of mountains something to behold. Sheila & Jack have a great deal of knowledge which proved to be useful. Situated 10mins drive just outside Orgivia which in itself is a lovely town, with plenty of bars and places to eat, some of which we visited. We spent various days out and driving the mountain roads in all directions from Orgivia, there are some very lovely places, if you get the chance visit Trevelez on A4132 which is about a 90min drive from Orgivia, its a lovely mountain village with plenty of shops and places to eat though roads are very bendy and Lanjaron on the A348 about a 30min drive, which has a lovely selection of shops especially if you are looking for something to bring home this would be a place to certainly visit also has a good selection of places to eat and drink. Motril is about 45mins from Orgivia, this is a very big town which is excellent if you need a supermarket or looking for places to shop, the other side of Motril is Playa de Motril, this is the beach area which has a selection of places to eat mainly seafood but if you come across it stop at Happy Beach great for pizzas!!! And very good value for money. We booked in the UK to visit the Jerez De La Frontera: Fundacion Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre which is about 4 and half hours away which is a must for horse lovers

lovely relaxing holiday

We (family of four with 2 older kids 12 and 15) had a lovely relaxing 2 weeks in this holiday home. The location is really beautiful looking onto the Alpujarra mountains so you don't actually feel the need to go anywhere though there are plenty of places to visit if you want to. The accommodation is simple, very clean and has everything you need. We spent most of our time relaxing outside either by the pool, the table under the big olive tree or the sofa on the porch listening to the Cicadas . The owners live in the adjacent house with their 2 dogs (who were lovely and made the holiday for the kids, we even got to take them for a walk), they were not intrusive at all but on hand if we needed anything. They encouraged us to pick the figs and grapes which were delicious. Thanks Jack and Sheila for a lovely holiday, we hope to come back soon.

Simply Stunning

Having arrived at 3 am in the pitched dark, the amazing views that welcomed us in the real morning were breathtaking. Very comfortable house which is well equipped for our needs, including a good sized fridge! The gardens are delightful and the private pool a pure luxury. Situated in the National Park the whole area is beautiful. Jack and Sheila ensured we had a fantastic week away and made us feel very comfortable. We even accompanied Sheila walking the dogs to the river where we saw and heard various wildlife. I for one am looking forward to my next visit.

Lovely!

We (family of three with 6 year old son) had a delightful week at Casa Pepe Rosa. It's a beautiful house next door to the owners Sheila and Jack who were just lovely - very helpful in every respect. The house was perfect for our needs - well appointed and kitchen also very well equipped (we liked buying local produce and preparing most of our meals.) The setting is stunning with the terrace looking out over a beautiful garden with a swimming pool and gorgeous views of the Alpujarra mountains. We loved just hanging out at house along with returning after adventures discovering the lovely surrounding area. The house provided a tranquil and relaxing setting where we could just simply 'be'. It was also lovely to enjoy the very friendly Missy and Holly (Sheila and Jack's delightful dogs) with whom who our son in particular took a great liking to - the feeling appearing to be mutual also! I can't recommend this holiday home enough. We had a great week. Thank you Sheila and Jack for helping make a very memorable holiday for us. We most certainly hope to come and stay again some day. Wonderful holiday

We have stayed in the guest cottage many times, it's always a great week Sheila and jack are very welcoming, the cottage is clean and lovely, the pool a delight to jump in, the dogs are very friendly. Great place to stay! Defiantly go back again!

Another great week

Our third time staying with Jack and Sheila and it was like coming home. Such a relaxing environment in all ways. The cottage is always spotlessly clean and comfortable, the pool is very well looked after, the views are fantastic and Jack and Sheila could not be more welcoming, nor could MIssy and Holly, two of the friendliest dogs that you could meet.
