Stylish cottage near to Bruton, Glastonbury and Wells
Ideally suited to sleeping four people, the Bake House can accommodate up to 8. The property is a stylish conversion of a former bakery with it's own garden space and parking. It is suited to the east of East Pennard adjacent to open country.
Our guests have the cottage to themselves, an area of private garden, and are welcome to wander in the woodland orchard adjoining our garden. There is ample parking.
East Pennard is a beautiful village on Pennard Ridge, close to Bruton (Hauser and Wirth), Castle Cary, Glastonbury, the City of Wells and Shepton Mallet. Frome is a short drive.
We are close to the Glastonbury Festival site and often have guests staying for this event.
There are lovely walks or bicycle rides on our doorstep and many others in the locality. The views across the levels from the top of the ridge are stunning.
There is a fantastic range of activities in the area from the world famous Glastonbury Festival to countless other events at the Bath and West Showground. There are numerous historic houses and landscapes to visit.

The website's hero photo is not of the Bake House. You will be staying in an outhouse in the family's garden. The facilities are far from acceptable and not what one would expect at this price.
We were pleasantly surprised with this beautiful
Cottage. Ample space and comfort.
Was lovely seeing the horses run past the window and we thoroughly enjoyed having the open fire.
Had a lovely week here - very cosy and relaxed. It is in a nice quiet spot. The interiors are quirky, arty and stylish - which we love. Didn’t get to use the huge wood burner as the weather was too good! We had a problem with the WiFi but that was sorted out quickly.

Charm, style and comfort
Set in a small group of buildings, a beautifully converted former bakehouse with everything just right.
We are a family of four who stayed over Christmas and New Year and loved this cosy little cottage. It has everything you could possibly need, from a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of clean sheets, towels, to tv and Bluetooth speaker. The owners even put up a Christmas tree which was a lovely touch. The log burner was divine and kept us toasty-warm during some very cold weather. The sleeping spaces were great (the kids each had their own double bed and personal space). It was perfectly located for our visits to family and friends in Somerset as well as some nice touristy spots like Glastonbury and Cheddar - will definitely stay again!
