Summer 2023

We had a fantastic stay, with the property providing everything we needed to relax and entertain the whole family whether playing in the pool, sunbathing or having a quiet game in a cool, shady corner. It was exactly the place that we hoped it would be.

Late summer break

We had a lovely time here - just the two of us to enjoy the property and it’s environs . As has been said , the pool area was lovely- we loved eating on the terrace on an evening . We didn’t venture too far but had a brilliant day at the Alhambra- an easy drive , half a day in the rain in Frigiliana and visited the caves which were stunning. We also went into Nerja. We had one day at the beach which we enjoyed. We didn’t go far , I understand there are prettier beaches more of a drive away but we were happy with the clear water and calm sea locally . There are restaurants locally- of course we tried El Figon - great ! We ate on the square but didn’t rate the pizzeria. The others were really nice . We had a very relaxing holiday and will probably return- reading the visitors book it would appear lots do the same .

A wonderful place to stay.

We had a fantastic week here. The villa is beautiful and extremely well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious and the shutters keep them cool (although there is air conditioning too). The upstairs bathroom and kitchen are newly refurbished. The outside areas are fantastic - the terrace immediately outside the house was perfect for dining and the gardens as a whole are filled with beautiful trees and flowers. . We loved the pool and there are always places to find shade around the pool during the heat of the day. The outdoor kitchen and built in bbq are great. We really enjoyed looking out across the hills to the sea or watching the stars come out at night. We really liked the location of the villa- it is so peaceful but Torrox Pueblo is only a five minute drive away. It is an easy drive to reach Granada and a range of coastal resorts and Frigiliana. Katie could not have been more helpful- both before and during our stay. We would highly recommend a holiday at Casa Lillotte and very much hope to return.

Casa Lillotte is a fabulous Home from Home with blue skys and sunshine.

We had a perfect relaxing time at your wonderful well equipped Villa. You made our stay easy from the start, with clear directions to your home and it was lovely to find the welcome pack. Lots of great suggestions on where to eat, we enjoyed a fabulous seafood meal at La Farola. The meal at El Figon was excellent and the setting is lovely. We loved swimming in the pool. Most of all we enjoyed watching the world go by sitting at the table outside looking at the views of the olive trees and looking out to sea. The Villa was extremely clean and the kitchen was well equipped with lots of inspiring cook books. Some of which I will be buying. :-) Thank you again for letting us stay in your beautiful Villa and for a truly wonderful holiday x

Lovely property in a beautiful location

We stayed at Casa Lillotte in early October and had a wonderful holiday. Communication with Katie was excellent and check in was very easy, with the lovely housekeeper Kate available to give us all the information we could ever need. The house is really lovely and very well equipped. There is a spiral staircase which did cause us to worry as we have a toddler, but there are safety gates at the top and bottom so we were delighted with that. The pool area is really amazing. A poolside kitchen and bbq, dining area, 6 sun loungers, and amazing views. As we were there in early October we paid the extra sum for pool heating to ensure it was warm enough for our little one. The weather was fantastic (very high 20s) so we spent a lot of time down by the pool. The house was perfect for our needs. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - a well equipped kitchen and an internet tv with some satellite channels too. CBeebies is a must for us! There really was nothing that we wished had been provided - everything was there. Torrox is a lovely town and having Torrox Costa a short drive away is brilliant. We also highly recommend visiting the local towns of Nerja and Frigiliana. Both are very picturesque. All in all a fab stay.

Amazing Casa Lillotte!

Our stay at this amazing villa was lovely! The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the wine went down very well! Everything about Casa Lillotte was fabulous and we cannot wait to return! The pool lights with their disco effects made the kids very happy! We celebrated my partner’s father’s 90th birthday in style, with the outside bbq area by the pool making it a day to remember! Can’t wait to return! Thank you so much 😊👍🏻X

Great property. Good location. Fantastic pool.

We loved staying here. The villa is well maintained and the pool is fabulous. The kitchen is very well equipped allowing us to cater easily for a family of five. The outside space of the villa is beautiful with 2 covered terraces as well as the pool area with outside fridge and bbq. There is a lovely view down to the coast. The nearest village is walkable but it takes about 20minutes and you have to cross a busy road. In the car it takes a few minutes. There are some nice restaurants in torrox and some small supermarkets and bakeries. It is more relaxed and a nice atmosphere compared to torrox costa. The main resort of torrox costa is a 10 min drive down the hill and has everything you might need. the beaches here are also lovely. Thoroughly recommend this villa. Great for families.

Great place for a family holiday

We had stayed here once before and were very happy to pay another visit. The facilities are fantastic. 3 fridges gives more than enough space for plenty of food and cold drinks. The pool area is great, with plenty of shade, sturdy sun loungers and furniture and a great bar and BBQ. The property is well maintained and we discovered a comprehensive and generous welcome pack on arrival. And air conditioning throughout makes for a comfortable and cool night's sleep. We'll be back in future. P.S. Katie goes the extra mile if any little problems do arise.

Just a real home from home! Fantastic!

Everything was thoughtfully arranged to make the holiday a success. It was spotless with good bed linen and loads of pool towels. The housekeeper, Kate was there to welcome us and the welcome pack was copious! We particularly loved the fantastic pool and happily spent every day of our three week holiday relaxing and enjoying the beautiful property. Highly recommended.

Exquisite location and villa

This villa is set in the most peaceful of areas with a serenity to match the luxury accommodation it offers. Large airy rooms, all imaginable facilities, beautiful heated pool, fresh lemons and fruit in garden, immaculate in presentation. Easy walking and driving to nearby village and food stores. Would recommend to all. Families or a couple looking for first class accommodation and service. Care and attention from the owner was noted and valuable.

UNBELIEVABLE VILLA

Our party consisted of 5 adults and two very excited little 8 year old girls. What ever we put in about Casa Lillotte will not justify just how much we loved this place. From being greeted by Kate the housekeeper who told us all about the villa and things that could interest us about the area to the pool cleaning man (Simon) that couldn't be more helpful in showing us how the pool worked and how Katie (the owner) wouldn't let anything slip regarding the cleanliness of the pool and he even told us about places that we should visit. The views from the villa just take your berth away and the locations so quiet up on the hillside (apart from the poolside party's we had every night) We would walk down to the lovely little village (torrox) every evening for a drink and something to eat and the location was fantastic with hundreds of umbrella's hanging from the main square. We also found this fantastic taxi driver (José) that would pick us up from any ware at the drop of a hat. If your after a fantastic villa/fantastic location/ fantastic people then this villas for you. We will be booking casa lillotte next year. Also I would just like to thank Katie (the owner) for all her help regarding booking the villa to giving us a ring just to make sure everything was ok at the villa.

Beautiful, property in a wonderful position.

Casa Lillotte - fantastic place. The villa is in a superb position on the side of the hill, so along with great views, you have day long sunshine tempered by the breeze coming up the valley. Its quiet and peaceful and quite an amazing experience to watch the birds swooping and flying below you. The villa itself is very well equipped- it really is a cooks home from home with every piece of kitchen kit you could wish for. Rooms are well furnished and bedding and towels etc are of high quality. Outside the big draw is the pool, which lots of people have commented on, but we loved all the different seating areas and levels, where you could hide away in comfort with a good book. The BBQ area was a huge hit with the men in our party- a woman free zone, it was rapidly nicknamed "the man bay"! Location wise, whilst we never walked into Torrox pueblo, it could be done. Taxis were about 8-10euro each way to both the pueblo and costa. We found the Costa a bit too frenetic for our liking, and far preferred the pueblo. Try the gelateria just past the main plaza- fantastic sorbet. Restaurant wise, our favourite was El Figon. Huge thanks to Kate the housekeeper for her advice when we needed a doctor, and for keeping the villa in such a shipshape fashion. Thanks too to Katie the owner, who clearly cares tremendously about the villa, the town and also her clients. We feel we were lucky to have found Casa Lillotte, and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Perfection. Probably the best rental in Spain!

First impressions as one goes thorough the gate into Casa Lillotte and sees the pool and views out to sea as 'Wow. wow and wow again!'. Everything else is to that standard, from the mega friendly owner, to the charming housekeeper (Kate) and the beautifully appointed and equipped home that feels like your own within minutes. It is truly spectacular. We lived at the pool bar and did nearly all our cooking outside. There are THREE fridges (one in the kitchen, one on the laundry room and one at the pool bar) so cold drinks to hand are never a problem. We used to amuse ourselves as we drifted aimlessly, trying to think of what could be done to improve the place. No answers! Several evenings we debated going out to eat but concluded that nothing outside would beat the ambiance and comfort of a poolside BBQ. It is a very special place. We were just 4 people and we rattled around the place. Wonderful! Always somewhere quiet and shady to read a book yet still in earshot of 'Who wants a drink?'. We cannot wait to go back. Wish we had booked 3 weeks. Next time we will!

Lovely stay in Pueblo Torrox

We stayed here at the beginning of May 2015 and had a lovely holiday. Katie the owner is very helpful with any queries you have in advance. The villa is set on a hillside just outside the pueblo Torrox. It was very peaceful (aside from the odd dog barking which seems to be everywhere in Spain!) and a place to stay if you want to get away from it all and unwind. The villa is well stocked with just about everything you need and is very secure. It is close to a petrol station and a short drive from supermarkets and Torrox Beach. We arrived on a Sunday and not a lot was open but the welcome pack provided by the owners was great - beer, wine, bread, milk, pizza, breakfast bits, water, orange juice etc basically everything you need on your first night and morning until shops open again the next day. We went with our two year old who loved the pool and the pool toys. He also loved picking fruit from the lemon and orange trees that are in the garden.There is a washing machine which is useful when you have a toddler. There is a fantastic bbq area with a fridge right next to the pool. Two things to note are that the upstairs is via a windy staircase although you can also get up there from outside and that is far easier with big suitcases. Also access to the villa is down a fairly narrow dirt track but thankfully it is a very short drive along that to the main road and we managed fine. Its a great base to explore Nerja and the surrounding areas. Would really recommend!

Brilliant Villa lillotte

Had a wonderful time at the Villa, this has to be one of the best villas our family has visited. It has everything you need for a great holiday, the pool was excellent, a good size for family. The bar / bbq area is excellent, there is a fridge freezer, hot plate, sink, cupboard full of glasses / utensils. There is a large covered seated area next to this, we used this to dine and escape the sun during the day. There are plenty loungers round the pool. There are beautiful views over the side of the pool area, it is very peaceful area!! The inside of the Villa has everything, comfortable beds, two nice bathrooms, lounge area with Tv. Good kitchen. There is a utility room with washing machines and another large fridge freezer. The villa is between Torrox costa and Torrox Pueblo. A car will be required, lots of supermarkets in Costa and a brilliant bakery in Pueblo, cream cakes to die for. The weather was fantastic!! This villa comes highly recommended. Five stars!!

A very well equipped and furnished villa

The description of the villa is accurate but the photos do not really do it justice. It is far better that the pictures suggest. It is very well furnished and equipped. During the 2 weeks we spent at the villa we never once said “I wish they had......here” The location on the side of a valley provides excellent views and a welcome refreshing breeze. The pool was excellent and the adjacent bar and BBQ area was very well used. The bar even has a fridge and electric hob. There were plenty of shady areas if you wanted to get out of the sun and plenty of sunbeds if you didn’t. The air conditioning was very efficient and the TV receives UK terrestrial channels in HD (so we were able to enjoy the football World Cup) We were made very welcome by Kate who showed us around and suggested places to visit. She also returned at the end of the first week to change the towels and bed linen. I certainly recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a hassle free holiday in a very relaxing and high quality location. Finally, ask Kate about the mule and carriage ride – it is excellent value for money.

Lovely Lillotte

We spent eleven wonderful days in this peaceful, charming villa with valley and sea views. The pool and flower bedecked barbeque area are fantastic,well equipped with fridge,sink and two burner hob so you will probably find you spend all your time down here. On arrival we found the property spotlessly clean with a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, bread,wine etc. There are plenty of places to visit nearby and a day trip to the Alhambra Palace in Granada is well worth doing. Have a coffee in Torrox Square, walk along Burriana beach and visit Nerja town and the mountain village of Frigliana where you can walk up the river bed. Try El Figon restaurant in the village or La Farola on the coast. I would certainly recommend this delightful place to friends.

So fab we are returning 6 months later!

Our stay at The villa was amazing. Katie is a very kind and caring person, making sure all was ready out stay. We have a little boy ages 2 and any holiday is always nerve wracking but with this villa, all those worries we gone. The location is fab, not far from the airport and a pleasant drive. The villa itself was 5* all round. It has everything you could ask for and more. From wifi, sky, pool, BBQ, to DVD players and a sowing kit for those tight trousers that couldn't handle the lovely food! The villa is situated from many beautiful towns and the evening drives were stunning. We are so impressed that we are returning 6 months later for another stay there. It's a pleasure to meet such a wonderful couple who rent their second home to families. I would recommend it greatly.

Couldn't be better!

We have had the most fantastic holiday at this beautiful villa. Everything from our initial enquiry onwards has been managed so well by Katie. She obviously knows the area well and does everything possible to ensure our holiday was wonderful. The descriptions and photos cannot fully show the taste and style this villa exudes. Situation for travelling into mountains and beach is perfect. Car hire company offered excellent value. Heated pool a delight and fully private patio areas made for perfect relaxation. The whole family had space to relax and all 'mod cons' made for happy kids. We arrived to a welcome pack of groceries and a bottle of water and wine. What better way to start a wonderful holiday. We are recommending to all our friends and will be back. Thank you Katie.
