Nice and quiet close to the beach

The house is very nice, spacious and well equipped. The condominium is very quiet and the pool is big for length swimming and was never busy while we stayed. The only downside there’s no groceries or supermarkets nearby, only a few restaurants in the village which you need to book in advance. We didn’t rent a car as plenty of Ubers and Bolts around. There’s big supermarket 8 mins drive away. Unfortunately, wifi was down our whole stay (9nights) due to a cable was accidentally cut and whole area was left without wifi for ages so that’s why gave less a star and because of no shops nearby. There’s amazing walks though the cliffs either side of the property and Smugglers beach is a gem close by

Spacious comfortable townhouse in a speactalur location overlooking Benegil

A very relaxing stay in a very Spacious townhouse with a lovely roof terrace. All rooms are of a generous size, the house has a nice garden and the shared pool is well managed and a good length for swimming. Overall a very nice relaxing holiday

Peaceful retreat

Beautiful Villa in a very quiet fishing village with stunning sea views. We stayed for 10 nights at the end of August. House is clean, well equipt and comfortable. The house has ample bedding and towels which is excellent especially travelling with young children. Garden has 4 sun loungers and there's a table with chairs under a canopy to enjoy eating outdoors. On the roof terrace there are 4 more chairs and a small table. A small suggestion is for the furniture on the roof could do with being updated and it would have been useful to have a couple of chairs on the balcony from the second bedroom. However the house is extremely well managed and any query or request is dealt with immediately. We requested a few things during our stay ( more pool / beach towels , pillows, outdoor chairs) and these were promptly provided. Superb service, very impressed!! There are two beaches in walking distance , one of which is accessible by stairs and the other you access through a small cave (very stunning and great experience!) Pool is fantastic, warm and you can always get a lounger as other guests are respectful and don't leave towels on if they're not being used. We ate out a couple of times, casa de lamy had stunning sea views but our favourite was casa de pasto do mar which has stunning food and very reasonable prices. Overall a fantastic villa which I would recommend for families or anyone wishing for a quiet retreat. Thank you again for the excellent service and amazing family holiday.

Don't Miss this Algarve Property in Benagil in Autumn- Quiet & Serene in Sun

Benagil is so quiet and peaceful to relax in on the Algarve. Even in October it is remarkably warm. The cliff-top walks are breathtaking to view out across the ocean. I strongly recommend you add lote no. 11 to your autumn wish lists to visit.

Fabulous property in a fabulous location

Really enjoyed our recent stay here, the house is just as it appears in the photos and as described. It was a bonus to have housekeeping mid way through our stay too! It’s only metres away from two beautiful beaches - a boat tour of the caves is a must. Car hire is essential as the shops/supermarket is quite a distance away but this also allowed us to explore the surrounding area. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful holiday

Lovely Townhouse, good location, highly recommended.

Very clean and well-equipped townhouse. The roof terrace is a great sun trap and has views of the sea. Good communal pool, never too busy. Walking distance to 2 attractive beaches, Carvalho and Benagil beaches. Great clifftop walks. We had good weather and really enjoyed our holiday, highly recommended.

Excellent property

Comfortable and well equipped property, close to Benagil village and the beach. Excellent pool private to owners. We do recommend a car as there are no local shops and main supermarket (Intermarche) is a few km away. Also a Spar shop at Roche Brava which is close by. Excellent restaurants within walking distance and all well priced. A trip to the caves from the beach is worthwhile and you can chose from a short trip of about 30 minutes or a longer one of about 1 hour 15 minutes that includes a swimming stop, subject to favourable weather. Tennis enthusiasts can play in the "meet and greet" sessions for club level players at Rocha Brava Village and these run for 6 days a week, excluding Saturdays. Golf is available close by at Vale Do Mihlo 9 hole course. Owner David is most helpful and will assist you in any way possible. Gordon R.

Benagil is a beautiful resort village on the Algarve, which enjoys extensive hours of sunshine.

The property is maintained to a very HIGH STANDARD and offers exceptional standards from its highly equipped kitchen,lounge/dining room,bedrooms, air-conditioning throughout, roof terrace and sun loungers overlooking the ocean, and patio garden with dining furniture and BBQ on the ground floor.

A Fantastic Week in Benagil!

Our group of 4 had a very enjoyable 7 day stay at the Terracos de Benagil Unit 11. The villa was very nicely furnished and in an excellent location atop the cliffs along the Atlantic with numerous walking paths accessible from the complex. The neighbours were friendly and helpful with local suggestions and it was very quiet at night for good sleeps. We enjoyed the various amenities including WiFi, a nice variety of CD's and DVD's, good A/C system (as the weather was quite warm), nearby swimming pool and of course the roof top terrace which provided excellent views. We would definitely return to this area and stay at the same location.

VERY beautiful views :)

I was very impressed buy the detail explained to me and the ease of contact with the owner, David is ever so nice and very easy to talk to. On arrival the property was beautifully clean and well presented, lovely art on the walls in keeping with the beautiful area with a gorgeous beach just a short walk down some steps, there's also another superb beach behind the villa on a slightly longer walk of 10 mins or so down some steep steps but well worth the trek. The restaurants within short walk from the front door are all lovely sul de mar is lovely, so is brisa de mar which is best for value and the best for food we thought was casa de lamy just on the cliff front by the beach. What more can I say the top terrace on the villa has gorgeous views and the weather whilst there was tremendous, an absolutely beautiful villa in stunning surroundings, easy approachable owner and very restful, pool was great too. get booking you wont be disappointed. I will hopefully again soon x

fantastic rental for family with kids

we stayed at the property for one week. David was immensely helpful prior to our arrival proving us with all sorts of information about the property and the surroundings. The villa is equipped with 3 bathrooms, a small yet functional kitchen, a nice living room with television, internet, 2 bedrooms and a roof terrace. The pools was great for our two kids. Two beautiful beaches and several restaurants are within walking distance. I recommend some sea kayaking to see some of the caves. You can easily swim to the famous Benagil caves from the beach in town (as long as the water isn't too frigid or the sea too rough). Beautiful place all around.

Beautiful spacious House in gorgeous setting

Just back from a week here and we had a wonderful holiday, and absolutely loved the house and Benagil. The house was so comfortable and spacious. We wanted for nothing; I would highly recommend this place to friends. We have a 4 year old and it is very safe, with a secure garden and the pool only accessible with a key code. The house is very comfortable, as clean and comfortable a s a good hotel but lots more space. Benagil is a quiet village (busy beach though) really beautiful cliffs and walks.

Benagil Bliss

A lovely property on a lovely development-very peaceful at this time of year-the pool on site is great and big enough to swim lengths-the pool area could do with a little updating but we were told that this was likely to happen at the end of the year! The house we rented was number 11 and internally had everything you could possibly want on a holiday- very comfortable beds, sofas and very well equipped kitchen. The area is well served with supermarkets and we discovered the lovely beaches to the west at Alvor and Meia Praia -the beaches locally have very steep access and were not for us-but if you have a car it is a truly delightful area-both on the coast and into the mountains inland.

An excellent base for exploring and relaxing

A relaxing and extremely comfortable stay. The villa is well cared for, homely and spotless. The owner ensured we had all the information we needed in good time and advised re car rental, food shopping, restaurants and golf in the area. Benagil is a quiet and picturesque place to stay. The walk along the coastal path in both directions is a must as is the boat trip to see the incredible caves. We'd return in a flash! Thank you for providing a wonderful holiday destination.

Perfect setting for a beach holiday

The villa was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well maintained. The shared pool was only 30 steps away and it was always easy to get a sun lounger. It was a two minute walk to the steps/slope leading down to the beautiful beach. The patio area, well-kept garden and the roof terrace provide a choice of areas to relax outdoors in a very quiet location. The air conditioning is welcome on hot days. The showers are good, always plenty of hot water and the kitchen is well-equipped. David was very helpful and accommodating when booking. Highly recommend this property for a holiday in Benagil. Lovely restaurants nearby, particularly the beach bar and Casa Lamy. Cave boat trip was fabulous. A car would be preferable to get out and about and for ease of access to the supermarkets.

Lovely property - fantastic stay

We have just returned from a month on the Iberian peninsula including a one week stay at this property. It is a lovely attached villa located at the top of beautiful cliffs in the village of Benagil. We found the villa to be exactly as described by the owner. We loved the shared pool, the nearby beaches and the tasty food at the Casa Lamy restaurant (don't be fooled by the plastic chairs and tables on the verandah - the food is fantastic and the service very good and friendly). The owner has a local manager who was always available and very helpful. We can highly recommend this property

Home from home property

We felt most at home with bright and homely furnishings and the beds were so comfortable. A bonus to have air con in the bedroom as the weather was so hot during our stay. Fabulous views all around with a roof top terrace, close to the beach and restaurants. The house had everything we could wish for. Nearest supermarket approx 4 Km away but taxi is available if you don't have a car. Beautiful walks along the coast path in both directions. Note: Check the changeover time and day so that it can coincide with your arrival where possible. Helpful management and staff at Benagil Holidays. Yellow Fish Taxis prompt and efficient. Thank you .... we would like to return and can thourougly reccommend.

Superb villa

Really nice property everything is as described and the villa lacks nothing.the owner david was very helpful with lots of useful info on the local area.nice development and ideal for couples or families.it would be possible to stay without a car but a car would make your holiday more enjoyable.i would recomend this property to everyone and will most definately go again

A great place in the sun

The villa is a great place for families. We were a party of five, four adults and a toddler. The villa is safe and gated. During our stay we found the villa to be well equipped. In the bathroom there was even a pair of hair straighteners! All the rooms are spacious. During our stay we visited all the local restaurants. Food great especially the fish dishes. We went to the two beaches all in walking distance. We took long walks along the coast line. The views are stunning.The weather during our stay was great the sun shone all the time. If you like quiet not too busy holidays this is the place for you. We did not hire a car. At first i was a bit worried but we soon found a supermarket in Roche Brava about a 40 minute walk.

A wonderful break

We have just returned from a month in this superb villa located in the beautiful Benagil fishing village but set high up on the cliff. The villa is as exactly as described by the extremely attentive owner, who lives in UK, but has a resident manager for the complex who is also very helpful. The only hiccup we had was with the wifi dongle provided using Vodafone mobile coverage which was totally insufficient & unreliable. As we were both working everyday the owner agreed immediately to have a proper high speed Internet LAN line fitted so our last ten days were bliss on that front as well. A wonderful addition to the property if one wants a working break as well at this time of year . We would highly recommend this extremely comfortable Villa & complex to anyone wanting to spend some time in probably one of the finest locations along the Algarve coast for beaches,stunning walks,golf, restaurants,handy shopping to name but a few. . I discovered Benagil in January 2006 after a 2 year search to find a tranquil fishing village on the Algarve. I was looking for somewhere with safe bathing beaches, uncorrupted by development and with easy access to nearby golf courses. Terracos de Benagil is a small exclusive development with its own private swimming pool in a stunning location on the top of the famous Benagil cliffs surrounded by a conservation area perfect for walks and exploring. The beaches are a favourite of local people and families, as Benagil is a very unspoilt traditional fishing village with a small number of select, affordable restaurants serving superbly cooked freshly caught fish, Portuguese dishes and great wines. There is a warm, friendly welcome in the village to all visitors.

The views of the Atlantic, and the Algarve coastline that can be seen from the rooftop are breathtaking. A short walk will take you to either of the safe bathing beaches of Benagil or Carvalho. Properties in this select development are owned privately by fellow English or Portuguese professionals like myself who enjoy the tranquility, serenity and beauty of our surroundings. The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard in a distinctly Mediterranean style by a talented interior designer, and is well maintained throughout the year. All equipment (including barbecue) is chosen to make your stay pleasurable. There is a good selection of games, books, TV, DVDs and CDs for your entertainment in the comfortable lounge or outside on the garden patio or the roof terrace.
David has left two full sets of Gents' golf clubs and a Ladies half-set for holidaymakers' enjoyment. Please replace all lost golf balls after playing. Bring your shoes,golf gloves and clothing to play.
