Great property and location

Apartment is in a great location, only 20 minutes walk to the main street (Princes Street). Everything you need is in the apartment, very well stocked. Thanks for the welcome gift, it was very much appreciated.

Brilliant Stay

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this lovely apartment which was in a very interesting area. Nice to explore and very popular with tourists. I hired a car and parking was excellent we visted our family and friends during our stay. The apartment was very clean had character and everything we needed. Susan the host was fantastic from start to finish with my booking very efficient thank you susan for our goodies on arrival Would highly recommend this apartment

Lovely flat convenient for the north side of town

Check in was easy. The flat was clean and well maintained. The host replied quickly when I had questions or requests. It’s a good place to stay within walking distance of the centre and there’s a bus too.

Great flat perfect for a Fringe visit

Lovely clean flat perfect for a stay visiting friends and family and taking in the Fringe. Very well equipped kitchen plus lots of nice touches all round the flat making it feel more like a home than a rental. Took a few goes to get the lock box open, but minor issue. Instructions for checking in and finding free parking were perfect. One thing to be aware of regarding the location - be ready for lots of tourists outside at all hours!

Fabulous Hogmanay!

What a gem! Fabulously appointed apartment, absolutely everything you might need. Lovely welcome gifts of snacks , wine and shortbread. The location of the apartment is perfect- literally takes just over 5 minutes to be on Princes Street. Dean village itself is beautiful- like a little oasis in the city. We enjoyed the amazing Hogmanay celebrations at the concert in the gardens, which I will remember always. Communication with Susan was spot on, and check in was super easy. Definitely will return, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great flat in Central Edinburgh

We really enjoyed staying at Susan’s flat. It was in a beautiful part of Edinburgh. About a 20-25 minute walk to the centre. Lovely flat. Comfy beds. Decent size kitchen with all required utensils and pots/pans. Would highly recommend.

Relaxing apartment for family stay

Check-in instructions were easy to follow, situated he apartment was clean and welcoming; our children especially enjoyed the welcome treat that Susan had left, and we were very grateful that there were items available for a cuppa and relax as we just arrived. The kitchen is well equipped, although we made basic use of it. The living area is comfortable and nice to relax in in the evening after a day of exploring the city. The apartment is a short walk up a reasonably steep hill to Dean Bridge/Queensferry Road and from there to Princes St. Ideally situated for accessing all that Edinburgh has to offer and there are frequent buses from Dean Bridge to access most of the city from. We slept our first night before realising that there are blackout blinds behind the soft curtains and so our sleeps following that discovery were much better. Beds were comfortable although low and the king bed creaked a fair bit and was a little disturbing for sleep. All in all we had a great time and very much enjoyed our stay, thank you ☺️

Perfect Base on the Edge of the City

We found the apartment ideal for a short break, it's far enough from the centre to be quiet but not so far as to be a hindrance. We found the flat comfortable, clean, airy and bright, the kitchen has all anyone could need, though there are a number of local places to eat at the top of the hill. Visitors with reduced mobility may struggle with the location in the bottom of a valley but it was no problem for us and we hope to stay again.

Wow

We absolutely loved the location of this property. Everything was so natural. So many photos opportunities and only a short walk away from Princes St. The property itself was so nice, cosy and welcoming. It felt like home. After each day of exploring, it was mentally relaxing knowing we’d be going back to this place. Susan was also so welcoming when speaking with her. She was so easy to communicate with and offered many tips. Will definitely be paying a visit again.

The apartment is ideally placed to get the most from a holiday in Edinburgh. We hope that guests will find the comfortable accommodation as much of a pleasure to stay in as we do.

Why they chose this property

We had been searching for three years for an apartment in the heart of Edinburgh that would be ideal for us to use and to holiday let. The apartment has been fully refurbished.The property is superbly located in the Dean area of Edinburgh, which runs alongside the Water of Leith and lies just a few minutes walk from the retail and commercial heart of Edinburgh. The apartment enjoys all the benefits city living has to offer with restaurants, bistros and shops located in nearby vicinity. There is no need for a car as main bus routes are close by that cover most parts of the town and surrounding areas. Neighbouring Stockbridge, just a ten minute walk beside the water of Leith, also provides further local shopping and a Waitrose supermarket.

What makes this property unique

Dean village is a tranquil green oasis only five minutes from Princes Street. Dean is located in a conservation area which forms part of Edinburgh World Heritage Sites The apartment is part of an historic mill conversion.
