Delightful villa nestled amongst trees & flowers in the pretty mature gardens. Situated near the village of Jesus Pobre and the Montgo Nature reserve. Superb private pool with sunny terrace, roof terrace and unusual beamed, stone naya for relaxing and dining. Extremely well equipped and free WiFi. Both bedrooms are ensuite and air conditioned and the master bedroom has a spacious walk in wardrobe.

Lovely Relaxing Gorgeous House Dog Friendly Stay

What a beautiful house for our stay. Clean and tidy with everything you would ever need in a kitchen. Gorgeous gardens and an incredible pool and patio which was all fully secure for our dog Douglas. Sitting outside on the numerous tables was lovely - one undercover, one by the pool and one on the rooftop terrace for the sunsets. Susan and Nick were lovely hosts, very welcoming with helpful on tips for the area and the tech in the house. They checked with us by text during the week that we were having a good time that we were happy with the house. This was very nice of them...and we were happy and everything was super with the house!It was a 10 minute stroll to the small town of Jesus Pobre which had all we needed, a shop, a few bars and restaurants and a lovely artisan market on a Sunday. The road is not busy, lack of pavements but definately enough room to safely walk there and back. Lots of forest and track walks in the area straight from the house and if you are feeling adventurous the Montgo Mountain trail is just over the road behind the winery. Had a fun day out up to Guadalest castle and surrounding mountain villages and its only 20 minutes to Javea for a potter along the promenade and a coffee. Looking forward to returning really soon. Best stay ever!

The welcome and a pack of goodies got us settled, the property had everything plus. The view of the surrounding hills was amazing. Of course the pool was the icing on the cake. I tried to find a fault and couldn't!

Perfect location for golf and if you come with a pet

If you are a golfer, this place is perfect 2 min drive (1km) from the La Sella Golf. We came for 3 weeks in February and chose it because of its location and the owners have dogs themselves so are very welcoming to humans and furries which is important to us. As the golf of La Sella accepts dogs on the golf course, but not in their hotel, Casa Almareika was the best option. Its also super easy to get to Denia and Javea as the house is located in between both towns.

Lovely spot for winter sun

We had a great time, with the villa providing a great base for cycling into the hills. Susan and Nick were very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. The welcome package of food and wine was very welcome.

Fantastic villa with a warm welcome

We were met be Susan & Nick who were extremely welcoming. The villa was lit up and very impressive. We were given a welcome basket of essentials, like milk/Bread/Eggs and some luxuries too! The villa was very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the pool was very private. Great views from the roof terrace too. Plenty restaurants nearby. It was an absolute pleasure to spend our week there and definitely would recommend. We hope to return in the near future.

Wonderful villa with beautiful views

We had a wonderful time at Casa Almareka, the villa is gorgeous, enclosed and so well equipped. One of the many highlights is the roof terrace with stunning views of the mountains and surrounding area. There's plenty of amenities a very short drive from the villa, as well as great restaurants, places to see and things to do. The market in Jesus Pobre on a Sunday is a must go! Susan and Nick were excellent hosts and even provided a lovely welcome basket. They clearly care about their guests experience and have put a lot of thought into making your stay as enjoyable as possible. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful villa with fabulous views!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Almareka. The location is beautiful and we loved the ever changing mountain view, especially from the roof terrace. The villa is lovely with everything you need. Thanks for the welcome pack Susan and Nick. This meant we could settle in straight away! The aircon was very welcome when the temperatures increased. We used the bbq which was great. The pool is fantastic for kids and adults alike and was very refreshing. The villa is located in Jesus Pobre and we all enjoyed the market on the Sunday. A must for foodies and plenty of refreshments on offer. There are lots of wonderful beaches and coves to explore nearby. The kids loved snorkelling. You can also find sandy beaches and pedalos in Xabia. Thanks again Susan and Nick for a very memorable and relaxing stay.

We had a short break in this lovely villa. The garden and pool area are maintained to a high standard as is the house. There is access to lovely area on the roof which is walled. It is great to sit up there especially at the end of the day for some late in the day sunshine. We will stay for longer next time.

Wonderful secluded and homely villa

We had a great week at Casa Almareka. Sue and Nick were on hand to greet us and provided an extensive welcome pack to get us started. The villa and grounds are very secluded - even though next to other villas, we didn't see anyone else all week. The pool is a fantastic size for a 2 bed villa and the shaded terrace with ceiling fan was very welcome in the heat. Inside the villa is very homely and was spotlessly clean. Sue and Nick obviously take great pride in the villa, and we will definitely rebook if we are in the area again! It's also in a great location for getting to Javea, Denia, Moraira, Jalon valley etc.

Perfect stay

We cannot rate this couple and their villa highly enough. Susan and Nick have made this very much a home from home. Everything was in good order, spotlessly clean and welcoming. The large walk in wardrobe was a lovely surprise. They had prepared a lovely pack of food which saw us through the next day, and kept in touch in case we needed anything. If we are able to return, this without a doubt, will be where we come. Oh and on the couple of days when it was a little colder, the central heating was amazing and the unlimited WIFI couldn't be faulted. We would definitely recommend this lovely villa.

Wonderful property

We stayed at Sues home in October 2020. As soon as we arrived we could tell that she had put a lot of love and effort into it. The villa was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. A welcome pack was a lovely surprise as well as having hand soap and shower gels in the bathrooms which you normally don't get in holiday rentals. The outdoor areas were just as fabulous with lots of different areas within the garden to relax and although it was October because the sun was on the pool most of the day we were able to use the pool without it being too cold. Sue was on hand to meet us on arrival and was warm and friendly. Unfortunately due to a family emergency at home we had to cut our stay short so can't wait to be able to book again. A wonderful place to relax with everything you could need.

We live in Spain and own and manage Casita de Alba, Casa Almareka and Casa Susana. We do all our own maintenance and cleaning to ensure our villas are in perfect condition and spotlessly clean for our guests. I was a City Business woman until I found Casita de Alba in Jesus Pobre and from that day I knew I wanted to live there. I put my heart and soul into reforming the villa and made it into a luxurious, comfortable, welcoming home. We have had some wonderful times with many clients who come regularly over the years and who have enjoyed our properties.

Why they chose this property

When I first saw Casa Almareka I knew I wanted to buy it 1 day, but the owners did not want to sell and I could not afford it so I said to the owner, please give me first refusal if you ever want to sell. From that moment I kept saving. 1 day I had a phone call from the owner saying they had to return to the UK and was I still interested.I jumped for joy and rushed to the bank to ask for a bridging loan (you could in those days!) All went well and in July 1987 the keys were in my hands. It was a wonderful feeling and I set about restoring, changing, updating and had the time of my life. My 1st clients loved there stay in Casa Almareka and I have continued to upgrade and modernise without changing the character of this truly charming villa. I also have Casita de Alba & both are great.

What makes this property unique

Whenever we get the chance we stay at Casa Almareka because by staying there we see what clients see. We can then adjust, decorate,install, remove anything & everything & do all we can to improve the villa each year. It is central to both Javea & Denia & also Alicante & Valencia and is situated in a lovely location that is peaceful & tranquil yet only minutes away from Golf, beaches, shops, restaurants, in fact everything you could wish for. Ideal for summer holidays with air conditioning & a glorious pool & warm & cosy for winter holidays with the log burner and central heating.
