About this property

Alicante Villa With Air-con and A Private Pool With Large Secure Tiled Sun Area

You are renting the ground floor part of the villa next to the swimming pool. It will be private for your use only as no one lives in the top part of the villa which is not for rent and is locked up with my personal belongings in.

I use Leja villa’s to maintain and manage my villa, they will send you an email before staying to request arrival details, you will check into the villa through them, Lejavillas@villas-to-rent-in-spain.com, their office in in the high street around the corner from the villa behind Dos Mas, the contact is Lee.

The villa is in a private estate called La Escuera in La Marina; all the villas in this estate are significant and have a 1000 sqm plot. I am renting my four-bedroom, 2 Bathroom guest accommodation with fIbre WIFI, you will have the villa to yourself. Due to the villa's size, it has a large area for sunbathing, swimming, relaxing, all on one level.
I have had a new pool fitted in 2020. Walls surround the whole area, so it is very secure and private, although you are very close to everything. There are two large parasols and a gazebo. All the rooms have hot and cold air-con there is three coin operated meters, one in the lounge, one operates the two double bedrooms and one operated to two twin bedrooms. They take one or two euro coins. The coins last a long time, this is there so the units are not left on 24hrs a day. All rooms have remote control Ceiling fans. When i go i hardly need the air con as the marble floor keeps the villa cool.
The villa has everything you need. You walk out your front door, and the pool is right in front of you. It is all on ground level. There is lots of garden furniture and eight sunbeds. Next to the pool is the perfect place for an early evening barbecue. Or venture out to the town for a lovely meal. Please remember to leave the BBQ clean after use, there is a charge of 30e for the agent which will be taken from your deposit if left dirty.
Lee the agent can arrange car hire or transport from the airport for you.
I recommend hiring a car as I love to go into Alicante town on a night out and to Torrevieja to visit the evening market, and it is just easier to get around.
However, if you just want a relaxing holiday around the pool, then Lynn will pick you up. La Marina town is a 15 min walk where you can find loads of bars and restaurants.
Due to the villa's popularity, the check out time is 10am, and the agent needs to get it ready for the next guests arriving at 4 pm. If you have a late flight home, it is recommended booking the villa for an extra night.

A fabulous villa!

I visited here with family, 6 of us in total, and we all really enjoyed ourselves! The villa is amazing, so much space! The outdoor area is huge with plenty of sun beds for resting, and also great for entertaining whilst cooking on the barbecue. The pool is great too when you want to cool off. Inside, the villa is superbly presented and immaculate. Two bathrooms meant we had no arguments over who went first! Everything was clean, well looked after and we were provided with everything that we might need. Just a short drive or walk away, you will find shops, restaurants and bars in a super chilled, sunny part of town, or you can go a little further afield for more activities and fun! Overall, we were so impressed by the villa, the cleanliness, space, outdoor area and privacy of it meant that we had a great holiday and will be looking to return again! Thank you so much for a great, relaxing stay.

Gorgeous villa near Alicante, with great pool, very private

The property is huge, the part you rent is the ground floor which has great access for anyone who doesn't cope well with stairs. The villa is so much larger than it looks, all the bedrooms are double rooms, very spacious and comfortable. The air con is really good, just remember a few 1 euro coins to keep it going if you need it. The whole place is completely private, which is so refreshing, it is very quiet and peaceful, loads of space. The beach is a short drive away, I recommend going late afternoon when it is not too hot. There are loads of restaurants a short walk or a few minutes drive away, so you don't have to cook at all if you don't want to, although the kitchen is large and fully equipped if you want to. I would recommend this place, it's large enough for 2 families to share and you won't be stepping on each others toes.

Good villa, excellent outside space. not far from bars and restaurants, beach a short drive. Air con coin operation is the only downfall - would be much more preferable paying a fair deposit amount with electric usage to be deducted, just a suggestion.

Lovely villa with a great host

We stayed in Derrick's villa for 2 weeks at the end of July/beginning of August. We were a family of 5 for the first week, and had 3 adult family members join us for the second week. The villa was a great size for us as a 5 but still a fantastic size for us as an 8. The outside area in particular was really spacious with a round, social table that fit us all comfortably, and sunbeds for us all. The pool was a really lovely temperature and well maintained by the pool man twice a week, so it was lovely and clean. We had 2 rental cars the second week, and were able to park both of them on the gravel so that they were secured on villa grounds. We normally stay in Quesada, but found that the location of this villa was perfect, being closer to the airport and beach, with great restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Thank you Derrick

Stunning villa great out door space that was well maintained. A beautiful pool that the children didn’t want to leave meaning a very relaxing break for the adults as we didn’t need to leave often. Any requests we made during our stay (extra bedding, pool lights instructions) were responded to quickly, efficiently and with a smile. Communication from the start was without fault. Do not however, park on the yellow lines outside. Spanish police are mean!!!

Fabulous holiday

This is a brilliant property - a great base for a holiday in the summer sun. The villa is well equipped, spacious and was very clean. The pool is amazing - my children spent hours per day in there. Location wise it is located on a quiet street and is a 15 minute walk to the nearest resturants/bars etc. It is a 25 minute drive from Alicante airport and close to lots of nearby attractions. We had a fab time, a real holiday to remember.

Villa was everything in the description.We were a family of 8 & enough space for all of us.I would say a car is essential in July & August, the village is easily in walking distance but not at the temperature we were having, takes 15 mins to walk & we used the local bus to get to the beach , that was great as had a breeze,We tried to hire a car but all booked up with it being August, would of had to go back to airport to get one.Jerry & Kay were brilliant running us around.If you need to book the minibus do in advance, we left it to late and was booked got 2 taxis from airport 45 euroes each, minibus on return 40 euroes for all of us.Plenty of good restaurants in both villages.Derrick was very accommodating if we needed anything, but little contact as everything was great. Thanks Derrick we really enjoyed the villa.

Fantastic villa!

The Villa is in an 'urbanization' part of La Marina. The property itself is on a corner of the road, and it is very spacious and clean. The pool is magnificent, clean and warmed by the strong sun, our children thoroughly enjoyed the villa for that reason - a private pool! We travelled as a family of five, including a 5 month old baby, plus my mum & dad (so 7 in total). The villa comfortably accommodated us all, it did not feel at any time that we were on top of each other or in each other's way, as there were 2 x bathrooms and enough separate bedrooms for each couple and older children (4 in total). Every night that we ate at the property, we did so outside at the table in the corner of the terrace, which was very pleasant. There are lights around and inside the pool which gives it a charming feel. There is also a very colourful area behind full of plants and flowers, which was very nice. We arrived very late on a Saturday evening, having flew into Murcia which is about an hour's drive away. We had no water to drink or anything to eat, fortunately we managed to drive our hire car to the petrol station on the main road into the Urbanization and grab some essentials with minutes to spare, before that closed at 11 p.m. I suggested to Derrick that a 'Welcome Pack' may be a great idea to people who requested it, or that were coming to the property late at night, or indeed very early in the morning, which he agreed with. I found communication very easy with Derrick - he is open to any suggestions and will answer any questions / queries you may have promptly. There is a lady across the road-Kay- that looked after any of our needs / requirements whilst we were staying at the villa (such as a replacement bulb when one blew). We did walk into the town, where there is a supermarket and some nice restaurants, on the first morning for breakfast, but with a buggy and two older people, it was about 25-30 minutes each way, so all future trips were made using the hire car. With that, we found some other 'clusters' of varied restaurants, more Supermarkets, a newsagent, a fish n chip shop and even a German food store which pleased me as I really like German beer, around the urbanization. The beach is in the opposite direction, again we used the car as it would have taken about 30 minutes to walk to it, but there was free parking behind that and it was a very nice clean beach, with one restaurant / bar on it.

Great villa for a relaxing holiday

This property has everything you need for a family holiday. The outside space is well maintained and huge so plenty of room for you to BBQ, be in the shade, sunbathe, swim in the pool, etc. The pool is cleaned regularly so always crystal clear. There is everything you could possibly need for a holiday at this villa. It’s 0.6 miles to walk to the nearest restaurants/bars and supermarket. If you don’t like to walk then hire a car. Highly recommend this villa for families or 2 families to share, plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.

Gorgeous Walled Villa, Completely safe for children to run around, with lovely private pool

We found this villa on Home and Away, it seemed cheap for a massive villa that sleeps 8. We were not disapointed, the villa has a large open space for the children to run around and it is very secure. The pool look brand new and gorgeous with steps to get in and a shallow end that is perfect for the smaller ones. It is close to the supermarket and restaurants and bars about a 10 walk. After a couple of days we found a short cut to get there a bit quicker. There is another group of restaurants including the grill house and Ramons that were both execellent, these were about half an hour walk. Kaye the housekeeper that lives opposite gave us a lift a couple of times and only charged us 5 euros. She also gave us a lift to the beach for the day, she dropped us off at 12 and picked us up at 5pm which was nice for a change as we were there for 12 days. The beach is only 10 min s drive but a bit of a walk and across a roundabout. We booked Kaye to take us to Alicante one night this was bout 25 mins drive away and had a great day out around the port, doing some shopping in town and at the evening market. There is some gorgeous squares where you can sit and have a coffee or a glass of wine. There is a washing machine and dishwasher and great ultra fast wifi. There is sky TV and internet TV which has loads of diffrent languages and all the sports, childrens and film channels, although we did not spend much time inside the villa. There is a great BBQ and a massive round table under a wooden gazebo to have meals at as well as an extendable table inside. There is a sofa area to sit out at night by the pool. At about 10pm the pool lights up and changes colour every few miniutes it is stunning. I would really recommend this villa, it is great value for money, easy to get to from the airport and gorgeous. We did not get a car, but i looked up on compare car hire Alicante and it was very cheap, we just wanted to chill so it was fine.

I am sad to leave the villa as it is gorgeous.
I bought the villa because it was close to the airport and the beach. Its about 15 or 20 mins on the beach road N332 from Alicante. Very easy to find and a very central location.

Why they chose this property

I bought this property in 2010 newly built.
I looked at property in Cyprus and Turkey but decided on Alicante because it is 2 hours flight time from the U.K, It is close to the airport and easy to get to. It is close to the beach, in a private area that has no building work in an established area. It is also close to the Alicante, Torreveja, 5 mins drive from La Marina town with many shops, restaurants and supermarkets, 10 mins drive to the old town of La Marina.
It is a large property with a large plot so there is plenty of room to relax and have fun.
It is very peaceful. The only thing you can ever hear is the local cock waking up in the morning.
It is a very romantic getaway

What makes this property unique

Most properties in the area have small land and often a shared pool.
Because of the size of the villa it has a large paved area and its own pool, a gazebo that covers a large table and outside furniture, and on the other side of the villa there is 3 trees to give shade where you park your car.

All the money that is taken in rent is invested in the villa, after the bills are paid of course.
