Stunning house in a breathtaking location

This house was absolutely perfect for our family and we would go back in a heartbeat. The location was incredible with the most stunning view - the light on the hills and the view of Valldemossa was beautiful day and night. There were so many spaces to enjoy in the house and garden and the pool terrace was huge and super comfortable. The house was perfectly equipped with thoughtful and fun touches throughout. Everything and more that you could need for a fun holiday. It’s a brilliant base to explore the West coast and a short drive to Palma where we went sight seeing and to the supermarket. Valldemossa is a beautiful10-15 minute walk. The supermarket there was much better than I expected so you could easily get everything you needed there. It’s a steep area so the drive to the house takes some getting used to but Adam met us so it was easy to find and well worth it for the incredible views. (One thing to note - Apple and Google maps both routed us through the centre of Valdemossa which is pedestrianised so I am expecting a ticket from the traffic cameras - be warned!) Adam was an exceptionally welcoming, warm and helpful host and it was a very special place. Highly recommended.

A delightful week at S’escultor

A wonderful welcome from Adam who is the consummate host. The house is in a lovely peaceful location and is beautifully appointed and well equipped. We threw Adam a couple of curve balls during our stay and he dealt speedily with everything. Road to and from village is steep but perfectly do-able on foot - reward yourself with a coffee or aperitif at either end! We had not sussed that the bathroom between the two large bedrooms was a Jack-and-Jill arrangement, but one couple just used the other bathroom downstairs. Spacious, calm and welcoming - we hope to be back.

Do yourself a favour - book a stay at Ca S'Escultor

Totally agree with the previous reviews - from the moment you arrive at Ca S'Escultor you're struck by the sheer beauty of the location and stunning views. The house is gorgeous and clean, with everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay. And then there's Adam, a phenomenal host - kind, helpful and very easy going. He has a great understanding of the elements needed to have a good holiday and went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves. If you get the chance to go on Adam's boat, take it. It's a wonderful way to see the island and a memorable day out. We cannot recommend Ca S'Escultor more highly. Thanks Adam.

Magical Place

From the second you lay eyes on this Finca, you fall in love. The property, the view, the perfect facilities, and everything around it are just wonderful. Adam’s a great host, a genuinely lovely bloke and understands what makes a great holiday. The area around the property is beautiful and although busy with tourists, you’re far away enough to enjoy the beauty they’re all trying to enjoy. We loved it and 100% will be coming back. Thanks Ca S’Escultor and thanks Adam for giving our family memories we’ll never forget ❤️

Fantastic property - hope to stay again one day

We are back from a wonderful stay at Ca S'Escultor which we will remember forever - it is one of those special places that stays with you. The other reviewers have said it all and having stayed now, I agree with what they have said, so I won't rehash. Special memories will include the view (10/10 incredible), the peace and privacy, picking fresh lemons, the beer tap (yes your own private beer tap serving you San Miguel), table tennis, Poppy, the hammocks, the beautiful town of Valldemossa - I could go on for a lot longer. Adam is a fantastic host as others have said. He's also very responsive if you have any questions. Would I stay again? Definitely!!

Man Cave-Perfect for adult groups, not children.

A beautiful, well equipped property with stunning views and a fantastic host who has gone to exceptional lengths to provide all the amenities a group of four men could ever wish for. Not for parents of small children though. The following points are purely to give guidance to others who may be considering booking and did not detract from the fantastic time that we had. The upper pool table and table tennis area has long since seen its best and the access is via steep stairs and a walk along a rather precarious edge, we could not use these facilities.. The timber barrier alongside the pool which has a considerable drop on the other side, would also be a nightmare for parents of small children.

Everything you want, and more....

Our family had a wonderful holiday at this Villa. The setting, on a mountainside with views across the valley to Valldemossa was stunning, and the villa itself had everything you needed to relax and enjoy as a home away from home. The pool is big enough to swim in, not just plunge, and the insides of the villa are spacious and very well equipped. Having read reviews regarding the climb to the villa we were expecting something far more severe than the reality: yes it's steep, but nothing that an experience driver couldn't manage, although I'd advise staying in first gear. Adam is an excellent host, very helpful and on-hand if required, but not interfering so you are left in peace generally. We recommend the boat trip which Adam offers, and we should also mention that when one of our party became incapacitated due to a back problem Adam gave all the help he could to arrange a doctors visit and ensure the drama did not become a crisis. Our group consisted of two parents, plus three grown up teens/young adults and the venue suited our needs perfectly. Thoroughly recommended if you want a slice of paradise with fresh lemons on the trees, a sound system in the garden, wifi that works, and San Miguel on tap!

Very beautiful and charming home from home that has everything you could want

WOW! This villa caters for your every need both inside and outside. We cant recommend it enough. Adam has ensured that your stay is more than comfortable, hassle free and very relaxing. Firstly, Adam meets you and personally escorts you to the villa and gives you a tour- not every host will do this! Yes- there is an impressive hill up to the villa that initially we needed help to drive up.. but adam actually let me try it in his car while he drove ours up (plenty of laughs along the way) then personally made sure i could manage it in ours again- which was no problem once you knew what to expect. Other reviews mention the hill... yes it is steep, but if you want stunning views you need to climb a hill!!! And the views from this villa are STUNNING and more than worth it! We walked down and up the hill everyday with no issues-10min walk to/from the village with shopping bags.. no problem!!. Would i want to push a buggy up... maybe not.. but it shouldnt be a deal breaker as u can drive down and park for free in Hotel Valldemossa and stroll into town. This villa is just as it says on the description; beautiful, rustic and extremely comfortable. All basic supplies are provided e.g. cooking oils, herbs, cleaning products. Theres also every possible drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) u could want for u inside and outside for a very reasonable price so you'll want for nothing. You are encouraged to enjoy the home as if it was your own. Outside is simply charming. Poppy the cat patrolling the pool, fresh flowers, lemons, oranges and olives surrounding you, fantastic sound and lighting systems to entertain you and allow u to sit out at night, plenty of loungers and seating areas to chat and chill. We felt like we were staying in an all inclusive 5 star resort!!!! I've already passed details of this villa on to friends and family and definitely will be back. I wouldn't hesitate returning with my children as its also very secure.... you just have to note that the pool isnt fenced off as is the case in say french and american properties- but if you bring kids here they wont be bored...they can explore the grounds, play with Poppy, play basketball, table tennis, board and computer games (great free wifi), and watch "smart" 55inch TVs throughout the villa. Thank you Adam for making us feel so welcome and allowing us to experience a slice of mallorcan living in such a stunning part of the island, in such a stunning property. Book it!!!

Amazing place and service

We booked this place on the reviews we had read, everything was true and accurate . It is a beautiful relaxing place and Adam is the most amazing host and special person. We were greated and shown around the villa on arrival. Adam is very laidback and you instantly feel relaxed. We arrived at night to a beautifully lit garden and pool and candles flickering in the villa. We were all very excited and the kids aged 11, 14, 17yrs loved staying here. Special touches like the games, guitars , wii, dvd, CD, beer and music by the pool , fresh lemons and oranges in the garden, to mention a few all made to an easy relaxing holiday. We went out on the boat, this was an exceptional day. The boat is big and comfortable. Plenty of cover, toilet , fresh fruit and drinks. Adam was full of fun and the kids loved swimming and paddle boarding. Nothing was too much trouble. The area is close to the village. We did have a car which was beneficial for visiting other beautiful areas such as Soller. We would deffinately recommend the villa and Adam and would love to come back. A very special holiday.

We have stayed in a lot of villas over the years and I can honestly say this one is by far and away the best we have ever stayed in. Valldemossa along with this accommodation must be one if not the most beautiful places in the world. You can tell Adam has worked in the hospitality sector as he caters for every need. We 100% recommend this villa. Steve,Bow and the team

An amazing Villa in a lovely village with a great host.

My family and I had a lovely stay in the Villa which is absolutely superb and contains everything you are likely to need (and more). The grounds, Pool, and interior are well presented and there is plenty to keep you interested including BBQ facilities, games and even a beer tap. Adam was a fantastic host and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and the boat trip and restaurant suggestions were highlights. Valldemossa is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt villages in the region and has everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. I would recommend the Villa to anyone and will certainly be back in the future.

Wonderful Villa

We had the most wonderful holiday in Adam's Villa. Everything about the Villa is everything you could wish for. The views from the Villa are amazing and the walk to the village of Valldemossa is only 15mins, a lovely village with nice shops, coffee houses and restaurants. It is a steep hill down and a climb back but did this everyday and enjoyed every walk. The villa is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need. The photographs do not do it justice. We will be back. Thank you a Adam for hospitality. We are hoping to see you again.

A masterclass in hospitality!

Wow! Previous reviews are spot on... photographs do not do this fabulous property justice, and there are no words to describe Adam's incredible hospitality. His English is fluent, and he was massively responsive to any queries we had both before and during our stay. Every detail had been thought of, and it was like staying with a family friend in his beautiful home. The house itself is by far the best equipped one we have ever stayed in, and, as a cook, I was delighted to find all manner of huge pots, pans and dishes to play with! There is a treasure trove of books and games (Adam even purchased a backgammon set for us to use, when I asked if there was one available), along with an electric keyboard and 2 guitars, which thrilled my musical nephews when they came to visit. The outside area is vast, with masses of seating. Even when the 5 of us were joined by my sister's family for the day, we were still spoilt for space. The undoubted highlight of the holiday was our day on Adam's boat (to our great surprise, a much larger vessel than on the photos) and a trip to Sa Foradada for lunch, where Adam filled us in on fascinating stories of smugglers, and took us swimming, snorkelling and even paddle boarding. I had been slightly worried about the road up to the house, but it was not nearly as bad as I had thought. Steep, but no drop offs or cliff edges to worry about, and it definitely became routine after the first go. We walked into Valldemosa a few times, but it is really easy to drive back down to the Valldemosa Hotel and then walk the 2 or 3 minutes from there (handy if you just want to do a quick bread run in the morning). The supermarket in the town is well stocked, but we did a big shop at Carrefour in Palma on the way, which was great - especially for meat and fish. There is loads of fridge and freezer space, so it is worth stocking up. Other than this, there is a good Eroski in Soller, which is a very easy drive away. Thank you so much Adam, for the most amazing holiday. We look forward to returning one day soon. Your future guests are in for a treat!

Beautiful, interesting and first class service.

Previous reviewers are absolutely correct. Ca s'ecultor is in a magical location and Mathias is an outstanding host. He has thought of everything. The house is full of books, CDs, DVDs, and TVs with all the channels you might want. There is a very healthy stock of drinks, oils, dressings, and spices; even cigars and a pipe! There are guitars and a piano, a host of games and magazines, a pool and table tennis table as well as a boules area. It really is a fascinating place to stay. You will want for nothing! The San Miguel tap is a fabulous touch; beautifully chilled and the real thing. Lots of lemons and wild herbs in the garden also. Yes the drive up from the road is not for the nervous driver, nor should it be attempted in an underpowered, fully loaded, car. We had a diesel Qashqai and it coped well. First gear and high revs are the order of the day. After a couple of trips it becomes routine. It is certainly worth the effort; the views are sublime. Any downsides? None whatsoever; we would return without hesitation. If I had small children (toddlers) I might think twice because they would need very, very close supervision. Other than that I would not hesitate to recommend this house wholeheartedly to anyone. Moltis gracis Mathias!

Lovely property, spectacular views, exceptional host

We just spent two weeks in this lovely villa with it's spectacular views over the mountains, truly one of the best vistas we've had over our years visiting Mallorca. The villa is at the top of a very steep hill which takes a bit of getting used to so if hiring a car, it's worth bearing that in mind (doesn't need a 4x4, just something more than a little panda or punto, automatic would be ideal). It is definitely worth it when you get to the top though! The town of Valldemossa is really pretty and we walked in for breakfast every morning (about 15 mins). Even thought it's a big villa, it has a real cosiness to it. It has so many different spaces to chill out in, inside and out and the pool area is again, one of the best we've come across - plenty of chairs and loungers, BBQs, beer tap, hammocks. We didn't have great weather the first week but the villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need - full of books, games, DVDs etc, speakers, cables to hook iPad to TV, the list goes on! Adam has thought of everything. He is an exceptional host and really made the stay that extra bit special for us. He was always on hand and went above and beyond. He really has made the villa a home from home and we would love to come back. Thank you Adam, you're a star!.

Amazing location, fantastic house and great host

The villa is located in the most amazing location with a fantastic view of the mountains and the village of Valdemossa. There are great spots everywhere to have a drink with amazing views, and even hammocks scattered around the place so you can do it in the most relaxed way! Valdemossa, which is beautiful and has most of what you need (supermarkets, cafes, ice cream, etc), is only 5 minutes away by car or a steep 15' walk. The house is much nicer than what you see in the pictures. It's very spacious, very well equipped, warm and very nicely decorated. It feels like someone's house, not a rental, but not so much so to make you uncomfortable. There is everything you need, and more, with great details such as blankets in every sofa, pool towels, the basics for the kitchen (salt, oil, etc) and drinks and wine with an honesty 'box'. Adam is very nice and knowledgeable and communication with him was great, both before and during our stay. The drive to the house is a very steep hill. We had trouble the first time we did it but once you know what you are doing, it's absolutely fine. I just wouldn't rent a car with a tiny engine (no need for a 4/4 though at all). The other thing to keep in mind is that if you have young children you will have to keep an eye on them because of the pool and the stairs in the house. But again it wasn't a problem at all for us, and our 2 year old absolutely adore the place. We really hope we can come back. Thanks Adam!

Incredible Villa!

Adam's villa is absolutely gorgeous in the most incredible setting overlooking the beautiful village of Valldemossa. The house is perfect for a holiday and has everything you might need. There are lovely relaxing areas inside the house to chill out in as well as the stunning outdoor area which is superb for spending time in the sun and cooking bbq's in the evening. The property is full of gorgeous Spanish character, very clean and has all facilities/equipment - I would highly recommend it to anyone. We have a baby and the place was great for him - he loved the outdoor shower! Adam was also a fabulous host, he was very kind and made sure we were happy, helping us out with extra requests and going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We hope to return here one day, this is a place we will always remember!

Great Villa

We arrived in Valledemossa to torrential rain and getting up the hill the first time was tricky. But once there we were able to relax and when the skies cleared to enjoy the spectacular view. The drive up the hill was less daunting after that. Adam is the perfect host and made our stay a pleasure. I highly recommend this villa and will certainly return in the future.

Hosted by M. Adam Estradas

Host profile image
After living around the world in Venezuela, Thailand, Canary Islands, Cerdenya, San Diego... all of them most beautiful and interesting destinations, due to my business in the Hotel Industry, I came back to this unique and versatile Island of Mallorca, where I now have my home, and which I consider one of the most enchanting locations to live and holiday on ever. I chose the village of Valldemossa due to it's scenary and because it is set in a valley between gorgeous mountains and surrounded by olive, almond, pine and cherry trees, and as landmarks the unique Cartuja Monastry of Valldemossa, as well as the Church of Saint Bartolome. The village is like a magnet and has attracted personalities from all around the world for decades, Frederic Chopin, George Sand, the Archiduke Luis Salvador.

Why they chose this property

The property is set on a mountain with 3 hectares (over 6 acres) of land, surrounded by orange, olive and pine trees. The views from the solarium, terraces and pool areas are unique, looking over the valley on to the monastery and village, it is the highest house located on the mountain, hence offering absolute privacy. One really feels and lives the Mediterranean flavour here. The sounds of the birds and the sites of the donkeys peacefully pasturing around the mountain, under the blue skies and beautiful green vegetation make the place a wonderful retreat from our daily intense rhythms of life. The outdoor life style is very much present with 3 different eating areas and atmospheres, in the hammock under an oak tree, or in the sun, by the BBQ and bar. One must try it to really live it!

What makes this property unique

As you access the property through a gated entrance one reaches a private car parking for 5 cars and then up to the rustic house, terraces and swimming pool area. Car rental is recommended, and the house is a 10 minute most attractive walk to the Village, offering splendid cafeterias, day bars and restaurants, as well as local bakeries, grocery shops and a Sunday Market. One can easily travel to the stunning villages of Deiá, Lluch Alcari, and Soller, bordering the Northwestern Coast of the Island, in 20 minutes one can be swimming & snorkeling in the Port of Valldemossa or the Cala of Deiá. Palma is 20 minutes by car, and from there very easy access to other beach areas around the Island, this area is ideal for walkers, hikers, bird watchers and people that enjoy the nature. The cultural and gastronomic options of the village are unique!
