Its is located in the country side, only 6km from the city of Siracusa and only 8 min' driving distance to the sandy beach of Arenella. Car park inside the property. Casa Carlotta is made of a bright living room, nice kitchen that looks on the first terrace, a double bedroom, another bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 small bathrooms each one with shower, bidet, sink. Our guests can benefit from air-conditioning, washing machine and illimited wi fi connection.

Casa Carlotta stay

We stayed 10 days at Casa Carlotta with amazing swimming pool. We couldn't be more happy with our first Summer holidays since 2019. The house is a good size for a family of four with air conditioning, all kitchen utensils and lovely outdoor area. Vanessa the owner is very friendly and helpful. Syracuse with its old town Ortigia is only 15 minutes drive and highly recommend to visit. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

Amazing house for family with privacy

Our Stay

Property was really clean and had all the necessary cooking utensils. Stephanie was easy to contact and gave us good recommendations for eating out in siracusa and her choices never disappointed us. The property is in a really quiet location not far from siracusa nor arenella beach. Would highly recommend the property.

Lovely villa

It's a lovely, well kept villa with good facilities. It's well appointed and the pool is nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. A car is essential, there are no facilities in the immediate area, although the cafe at the petrol station is good for breakfast. Whilst Saracusa is a gem it's worth considering eating in Noto or in nearby villages as well. The hosts are helpful and efficient.

Nice, remote villa but doesn't take advantage of it's location

Really nice villa, which we enjoyed staying at but there a few things would could be better: GOOD POINTS - Remote location was nice to enjoy the quiet - Generally well appointed villa - Hosts helpful - Large terrace and pool COULD IMPROVE - The beds are uncomfortable (3 of us stayed all agreed) and the double bed is very noisy, turn over and you wake the other person up - The drains in the bathroom for the double room often have air trapped and 'bubble' back up, it's noisy and the water you have just used to shower comes back up around your feet - There are no views at all from the villa and the outside space feels very closed in due to the high walls/fence, which is a shame as it is a nice area - There is a large, ugly green wire fence around one side of the pool not on any of the photos. It is to keep children from falling in but stops you using the pool from the grass side or putting loungers there Be warned, there are also lots of mosquitoes there

Perfect for us!

The single-storey apartment suited us very well in its simplicity and peace. We were most grateful to find a cold supper and bottle of wine when we arrived in the evening. The large pool was just what we needed after mornings of sight-seeing. Proximity to Syracuse was ideal. Stephanie's greeting on arrival and advice in general added enormously to a perfect holiday!

Private base to explore Sicily or relax by pool

Casa Carlotta was the perfect base for our family's first trip to Sicily. The pool is a great size and the recent work means there is plenty of inside space if you need to retreat from the sun. The cottage is close enough to Syracuse with its markets, dining, historic sites and shops, but located far enough from town to make it enormously peaceful and relaxing. From here we visited the South Coast for a short Inspector Montalbano-themed route, visited the outlet centre in Agira and I even went for a day trip up to the route of the Targa Florio up in the North. As others have said, you will need a car here. Don't be put off by the arrangements for payment. Stéphanie is responsive by email ahead of the date and met us on arrival in town to guide us safely to the cottage. We loved it so much we left our security deposit as a downpayment for the following year!

Great getaway for families with children

What a wonderful holiday! A quiet, clean and modern villa with a lovely swimming pool. Beautifully kept grounds with jasmine and olive trees and lots of privacy. Courteous and polite owners. It's around eight minutes' drive from a lovely beach (Arenella) and a short drive (about 20 minutes) to the old city of Ortigia in Siracuse. The location, surrounded by working farms, suited us brilliantly. Just 40 minutes from Catania airport. The welcome pack was much appreciated with an enormous yummy pasta dish and some of the olive oil made on site! Please note that you definitely need a car to rent this, and stock up on bottled water because you are not able to drink the tap water. It's not exactly aimed at children ( little elements such as duvets that do not have duvet covers, layout of the kitchen etc ) but actually the villa worked out really well. The second bedroom is very cosy. Swimming pool has plenty of shallow bits for little ones to splash about in and is far enough away from the terraces so that outdoor spaces are safe for kids to play, and the owner's children delighted ours! If there are any criticisms it is the way in which the payment is done (wired deposit and then cash when we arrived). Also, got a bit nervous about who exactly we were dealing with because the person who replied to our emails enquiring about the property was in fact the agent managing the property (she didn't seem to have a job title, company name, or surname) and not the owner. That said, she turned out to be very amiable and real! Also the directions to the beach, which is so very close, were terrible. some people have not managed to find it at all during their time here. If anybody mentions a traffic circle, just remember that means a junction and not necessarily roundabout! All in all a lovely holiday home at a reasonable price.

Modern villa with super pool

Just had a great week at the Casa Carlotta. Sweet villa with very comfortable beds, property was very clean on arrival and had everything needed for the stay. Nice to get a welcome meal awaiting for us as we were late in from our flight, and some small bits for breakfast. Stephanie was very welcoming and gave us lots of very useful information. The pool is stunning, extremely large for a small villa and very clean and there are great out door facilites. We missed a proper inside lounge as sofa was in a central hall but good weather meant we were outside a lot. An outside BBQ would have been useful. Villa well placed for Syracusa, in avery quiet rural area, we didnt find an easily accessed sandy beach, but plenty to do otherwise. If you are looking for a relaxed holiday, time at the pool chilling with some sight seeing then this would suit well.

Wir haben hier die letzten 12 Tage unseren Sommerurlaub verbracht und fanden es sehr schön. Es war sehr modern und alles da was wir gebraucht haben. Der Pool wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und wir sind zufrieden. Außerdem gab's zur Begrüßung einen leckeren Nudelsalat und Tipps von Vanessa. Auch die Rückgabe hat reibungslos funktioniert. Kleines, aber feines Haus mit Pool, für Ausflüge sehr gut gelegen

Das Haus entspricht exakt den Fotos. Die Duschen sind nur ca. 65 x 65 cm groß. War für uns o.k. Die kleine Küche war unerwartet gut ausgestattet, nur für deutschen Filterkaffee muss man improvisieren. Aber schließlich ist man in Italien! Vanessa ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin, vom Begrüßungssalat und -Wein über kurzfristige Hilfe am späteren Abend von ihrem Ehemann, weil wir uns versehentlich ausgesperrt hatten und auch sonst war sie immer ansprechbar. Sauberer Pool. Das Haus liegt zwar etwas abseits, dafür ist die Altstadt von Syrakus, der Strand von Arenella sowie über die SS 115 und autostrada viele touristische Highlights recht schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis

Très bonne location.

Nous avons voyagé en famille dans la région de Syracuse et nous avons pu bénéficier du calme et de la fraîcheur de la Casa Carlotta. Le logement est très propre, bien agencé et bien équipé. Great value and location to Ortega

Great place for two couples. Only 10 minutes drive into Syracusa and Ortega. We enjoyed the private pool as well. We used this location as our base for 9 days in the south east and it was perfect. I would only suggest that the photos of the patio be updated as the couch seating was not there when we arrived. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends who want to explore the southeast of Sicily.

Location agréable grâce à la piscine

Points positifs : Piscine assez grande pour 4, propre même si elle dégage une forte odeur de chlore. Propriétaire disponible et réactif suite à quelques dysfonctionnements. Bon conseil pour resto parking … Vin et salade de pâte offert à l’arrivée. Endroit Calme et proche de Syracuse. Points négatifs : Impossible d’avoir de l’eau chaude tous les soirs car le ballon n’est pas assez dimensionné pour les 3 logements quand enfin nous en avions le débit était très faible. Nous n’avons pas apprécié la réponse du propriétaire nous disant que c’est la première fois qu’ils sont confrontés à cela et que le problème venait de nous, il aurait fallu se doucher à 30 min d’intervalle chacun sympa lorsque l’on rentre de la plage. Il faudrait revoir ce problème car cela gâche les vacances. Lenteur voir inexistence du wifi il faudrait le préciser dans l’annonce. Cuisine étroite avec une seule prise pas pratique. Un micro onde serait le bienvenu. Terrasse non ombragée car le système laisse passer le soleil. Pas de volet sur les baies vitrées ce qui fait augmenter la température du logement et gêne le matin car le soleil se lève très tôt. Je me suis permis de relever tous ces points car à 185 euros la nuit nous nous attendions à un logement un peu plus haut de gamme
