The Beehouse, Secret Rural Gem close to St Andrews golf courses and beaches
The Beehouse is a beautifully presented three bedroom house located just a short drive from the historic burgh of St Andrews, famous for its world class golf courses and stunning beaches. The property forms part of a recently converted steading building adjacent to the owners' home; with three double bedrooms (one downstairs) and three bathrooms it is ideal for families, golfers and couples alike. The house was completed in August 2012 and retains many original features including a quirky backdrop to the woodburning stove in the living room; recessed stone 'beeboles' where old-fashioned straw beehives were over-wintered. The Beehouse enjoys breathtaking south-facing views across arable farmland and woodland and is in a very peaceful private location. There is a patio area accessed from the open plan living/dining/kitchen area and an area of garden for use of guests. Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement with the owners and at a nominal fee of £25 per pet.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay here over Christmas. The Beehouse is beautiful and amazingly well appointed and set in truly spectacular surroundings, and Elizabeth couldn't have make us feel more welcome, with quick responses to all our questions and thoughtful little touches than made us feel really at home - the perfect host. It's one of the nicest places we've stayed, and we will definitely be back!
Just what we were looking for, spacious, comfortable accommodation in a lovely setting. Right in the heart of the countryside but still close to amenities. There are plenty of beautiful places for great dog walks, including a stunning beach nearby in St Andrew’s. It was a pleasure staying here with such kind and generous hosts.
everything was excellent and we had a lovely break recommend

WONDERFUL!
A beautifully decorated modern accommodation which is very well equipped, a great home from home, with plenty of room for a great family get together. This is in a fantastic location for driving out to St.Andrews and historic castles in the area.. not to far to walk to local shop and pub! Good walks in local area!

SWEET AS A POT OF HONEY!
Everything about the Beehouse was perfect from the say we arrived until we had to sadly leave. It was like coming home to your favorite place. Everyone enjoyed the place. The host family were very pleasant and having the lovely "tess" who came in every now and then for a cuddle or a bisquit was an added bonus. We will definitely be back on our next holiday. The lovely cottage ticks all the boxes for our family.

The Beehouse - Perfect in every way.
We had an excellent weeks stay at The Beehouse. The house was very spacious and accommodated the six of us very comfortably. It was particularly nice to be able to take our dog with us. The views were outstanding. Elizabeth was a lovely host and was extremely helpful. This will become our rental of choice when visiting the beautiful East Neuk of Fife so much so that we have already rebooked for next year!

Fabulous home located between St Andrew's and Cupar. Perfect for couples/families traveling together
We just returned from a 13 night stay at The Bee House with fabulous hosts, Elizabeth and Guy. The house was everything and more that we were dreaming of, complete with 3 bedrooms with super king beds and lovely bathrooms. The bedding was so comfortable that my husband wants to buy it for our homes in the US!!! Cooking facilities are perfect for making daily breakfasts and great dinners, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you will need.
It is located close by major attractions and we were able to drive daily to visit the surrounding areas as well as wonderful restaurants...some of which were recommended by our hosts. The house is located in a peaceful area which allows for great walks in every direction.
The best part of this stay was Elizabeth and her lovely family who helped to make us feel right at home and helped us with our every need. She is an exceptional host and we already have recommended this location to our friends. I cannot say enough about how welcome we felt and how much we loved this stay. We will be back!

Beautiful scenery out every window!
Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your incredible property with us. So sorry we never got the chance to have a glass of wine, but our friends kept us busy! The Beehouse is perfectly appointed with everything we could possibly ask for. Every room had a serene, peaceful and relaxing view. Everywhere we went the people were so sweet and the small town's oozing with charm. It was nice having time to see our friends who live there and share Scotland with our friends from the States. We will be dreaming of the opportunity to return. Thank you. Jonny

Beautiful, perfect for our stay.
We chose this house for its proximity to where me parents live. The pictures don't quite do it justice - the downstairs with the wood burning stove and the bee boles is filled with light as there are windows on all sides. The furnishings are top notch, the kitchen is well-stocked and the bathrooms have been finished to a very high standard. The views are beautiful.

About the host
Hosted by Elizabeth Logan
Guy & Elizabeth Logan are owners of The Beehouse, and live in Dairsie Manse which is just adjacent with our two sons; Tom and Bruce, our Labrador Tess and cat Milo . We bought Dairsie Manse in 2003 and fully renovated the 200 year old Georgian property to form a wonderful family home. In 2012 we developed the steading building which was a set of 'outbuildings' used to service the Manse in its day; coach house, wash room, stables, cattle stalls & hayloft. The Beehouse forms part of this conversion. Guy is from Fife, Elizabeth is a newcomer (of 20 years) from London, Sydney & USA. Both boys were born here.
Why they chose this property
We bought our property here for the excellent quality of life, beautiful views & peace & tranquility as well as close proximity to St Andrews & the sea.
What makes this property unique
A holiday at The Beehouse will give you a super luxurious base from which to discover the wonders of St Andrews and Fife & beyond. Come and cosy up by the wood burner in the colder months or enjoy the stunning view from sunny south facing patio. You can wander around our beautiful garden & meet the chickens, our dog & cat.
