A Victorian Brick and Flint Stable Block converted into a two bedroom luxury holiday cottage in the heart of the Meon Valley and within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been sympathetically converted and retain the high ceiling and wooden beams in the main living area. PLEASE NOTE WHEN WORKING OUT RATES - A 2 NIGHT STAY IS 50% of weekly rate - 3 N 60% -4N 70% . If the rates for two nights do not work out at this , please do get in touch and I will edit the rate. Always worth getting in touch re prices - the new way prices are worked out on VRBO make it tricky to get the 3 and 4 night breaks at the correct price - so don't be put off - get in touch :) Please note we do only allow one dog - no cats!

Absolute gem of a property. Perfect secluded location with a local pub in walking distance. Very user friendly accommodation with all the comforts of home. Easy check in on arrival and safe outdoor area. Comfortable seating in lounge and bed Perfect..
We had a lovely time in a beautiful area and lovely quiet converted stables.
The Gluten free welcome pack including GF brownies was gorgeous.
Thank you Victoria. X
stayed for the weekend, in Hampshire celebrating my dads 80th. The cottage is very well equipped and an ideal home away from home. The owner is very helpful. Cannot fault our stay
A lovely 2 bedroomed cottage on a farm/beside farm buildings. The property was just 1 mile from West Meon … within walking distance, with a pavement most of the way.
The kitchen was well equipped - and also had a dishwasher and washing machine.
Comms with Victoria were excellent and finding the property was straight forward.
Overall - it is a great location if you want to walk the Meon Valley trail
Comfortable, well maintained, providing everything needed for an enjoyable stay. We have stayed before and we are all looking forward to visiting again.

The surprise brownies and other items left by the owner were greatly appreciated and a nice surprise. Also was very secure for our dog Raven
We arrived to torrential rain.
The host had left the heating and lights on for us, which felt so welcoming.
There were lots of goodies for us to enjoy too- especially the brownies! The host had thought of everything- thank you so much!
We loved the property! We were a group of 5 girls just looking for a relaxing break and the house was perfect, the pictures didnt do it justice. Enough room in the open plan downstairs to eat and sit comfortably and the bathroom has a larger shower than is in the picture. The brownies were amazing, a lovely touch. We went to the beach as it is about 45 mins to west wittering and then had dinner at the pub which is a 15 min walk away which I would recommend. Great host and we hope to be back in the future
Really enjoyed our stay. The dogs were secure in the garden along with the car. Very peaceful location. The accommodation had all that was needed including fans as it was very hot. Would consider staying again.
The cottage was spacious, clean and well equipped
Very good host who kept in touch albeit at a distance
Easy access via key safe
Lovely location and easily accessible
Thoroughly recommended
Location chosen due to a wedding venue. Location beautiful and accommodation very satisfying.
On arrival Friday we had a problem with the car which could not be fixed until the Sunday. Victoria went out of her way to take us to the wedding venue on the Saturday and pick us up later in the evening. This was more than expected.
A most enjoyable weekend and great hosts. We will certainly book the accommodation again if the need arises to go back to the location.
We had a lovely stay. The cottage was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The location was excellant, a lovely village and stunning views of the downs within walking distance. Also the welcome gifts from the owner were fantastic - the brownies are to die for!!!! Thankyou
Really lovely accommodation for my wife + 2 friends visiting the area for a local event.
Very spacious with all the ameneties one needs for a weekend stay, plus the little extras (such as the brownies!) are thoroughly appreciated.
Lovely little property, great for exploring Hampshire, Sussex and beyond. Appreciated kitchen cupboards full of things you may need so you don't have to buy/bring staple items. And Victoria provided the best welcome pack we’ve ever received - her homemade brownies are to die for!!
Victoria’s stable is a peaceful retreat. It is a 10-15 min walk into West Meon to the pub and coffee shop
Victoria is an excellent communicator as any queries were quickly answered
Had several interesting discussions with Simon re the farm and area
The stable is an excellent place and we highly recommend it
A little hidden gem set in stunning countryside. We didn’t want or need anything as the property was so well stocked .. The friendly owners left a lovely welcome pack with Victoria’s legendary home made Brownies. The best we have ever tasted.
Well equipped, very clean and in a quiet location. Lots of places to visit especially Portsmouth historic dockyard where we spent 2 days, using the park and ride each day. The welcome goodies when we arrived were extremely generous and the brownies were delicious!! Thank you and we shall be recommending it to friends and the wider family.
Lovely property set in a beautiful location. Really nicely decorated and you have everything you need. There is outside space where you park your cars so you can sit out although basic.
There is a lovely pub about 10 mins walk away. Would suggest a bit more of an information pack about what to do with the bins, local pubs/walks etc would be handy, but had great communication with the owners and they pointed me in the right direction when I asked and they were really friendly. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.
Gorgeous converted Residence, Homemade Brownies we’re delicious. Everything provided for your Stay. WiFi service weak signal- didn’t matter with the Older Family members thou. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay and definitely will return. 😊
We were pleased to get this property for the days we requested (jubilee weekend) and wasn't disappointed at all when we got there. The property was as described and the brownies in the welcome package made me a total convert. I've never been a fan of brownie; now all brownies in the world are going to be judged against these! The working farm adds to the charm and its all neat and clean. Even the shower pressure is spot on.
We stay for two night for a Wedding, every thing was well prepared, clean and very comfortable. The weclome Brownies and Breakfast items left of Milk, butter, Jam, Eggs and even a bottle of wine were a pleaseant surprise. Lots of tea, coffer and hot chocloate available as well. Highly reccomend.
On arrive both myself and my friend were.impressed with the location. Inside, the cottage continued to impress us. It was characterful, welcoming, clean. The welcome pack of eggs, milk, jams, bread, wine and delicious homemade brownies 👌 was a very nice touch, thank you.
We thoroughly enjoy our weekend away where we needed time to unwind and are very happy with our choice...Thank-you very much Victoria and Simon.
Ps Thank-you for allowing us to stay a little longer on Sunday, it really did make all the difference as it enabled us to enjoy a lovely relaxing Sunday morning. Xx

About the host
Hosted by Victoria Cobden
Westbury Manor Stables are owned by Simon and Victoria Cobden. They live a couple of hundred yards from the Stables so are available to answer any queries you may have whilst you are on holiday. Simon is a farmer whilst Victoria helps on the farm and looks after their two children and The Stables
Why they chose this property
Westbury Manor Farm was bought by Mr and Mrs Cobden snr in 1973 and the family have lived there ever since. The Stables are owned by their eldest son Simon and his wife Victoria - they were converted from stables to a lovely holiday cottage in 2012. It is lovely to live on a farm in a rural setting but also have all the amenities you could possibly need just a few miles away.
What makes this property unique
The Stables are on the edge of a working farm and whilst guests must be aware farms can be dangerous places due to tractors and machinery, there is the opportunity to see newborn lambs and calves at certain times of the year. Lovely walking area within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been converted to a great standard but retain the character of the Victorian building
