Bakewell One Bedroom Cottage In A Peaceful Location With Parking Space.
A lovely mid terrace stone cottage with wood burner in a quiet location. Very close to Bakewell town centre and ideally positioned for visiting the attractions of the Peak District National Park. There is off road parking for a small to medium sized family car to the front of the property, eg VW Golf. Also a beautiful small garden to sit in and enjoy a large glass of wine. We accept short breaks as well as 7 night breaks, but sorry, no pets and no smoking. Please feel free to ring me or use the "Ask Owner a Question" facility for any information and to use a method of direct payment, eg, cheque or bank transfer.

The parking at the property is challenging and I was glad I had a mini and not in my previous saloon BMW! We spent ages trying to unlock the wrong key safe at the property. Thank goodness we arrived at dusk and not in the dark. We wanted to make filter coffee but there wasn’t any. We wanted to light a fire but no kindling or logs. The bathroom is very cold but we were warm in the rest of the house. Very close to the centre of Bakewell which was great.
Lovely cottage with everything you could need. In a nice quiet location with parking and so close to all shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again, hopefully in warmer weather so get to use the garden.
We loved our stay at Peveril Cottage – it’s quaint, cosy, clean & a stone’s throw from everything in Bakewell. Check in/check out instructions were easy to understand & communication with the host was quick & easy. The parking space is an amazing bonus, as parking is hard to find in Bakewell, especially at busy times. We’ll be back!
Lovely centrally located property, but quiet. Very clean inside, tidy and well maintained outside. Parking very tight for me, as I have a long estate car, but I managed, and if I can do it, anyone can. Only thing missing for us were large pint glasses, Otherwise perfect place.

Very comfortable and with top quality fittings and fabulous kitchen.
It is situated in a quiet area and only a few minutes' walk from the centre, so it was ideal for us. It is a very clean house with everything we needed. As others have said, you need to take the owner's advice about how to park, but I got a Nissan Juke in and out of the parking space. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly when we had a query. We would definitely go back again.
The property was excellent , everything we needed and In a lovely quiet area but close to everything.Only a short walk to the river. The only problem was the parking in a medium sized car.
Minutes away from Bakewell town centre and all of its amenities.
Tucked away in row of charming, quiet cottages.
Bed is so comfortable.
House is warm.
Clean and freshly painted.
Everything that you will need for a lovely stay.
Had a great few days.

About the host
Hosted by Liz Hollingworth
We live in West Yorkshire and love Bakewell and our plan is to eventually retire to the area. In the meantime we wanted a holiday cottage we could enjoy as we like to walk and also like cycling. We also enjoy all the facilities that Bakewell has to offer which are within a few minutes walk of Peveril cottage.
Why they chose this property
We spent quite a few months looking for a holiday home and knew Bakewell was ideal. We love the countryside and the town centre has some lovely cafes and restaurants. We are enjoying the many walks in the area and love visiting the surrounding villages. We loved the cottage the minute we saw it and have enjoyed decorating and furnishing it.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is very central to the town centre and yet very quiet. It is set back from the road and in a lovely position. It has off road parking which is opposite the front door.
