My family and I spent a long weekend in Bakewell enjoying the surrounding countryside and this delightful town. With numerous pubs and cafe you won't go hungry or thirsty and we felt very welcome.
This is an excellent property, really well furnished and equipped and in a fantastic location. Very good communication with the owner, despite Covid deferrals, made arrangements very smooth and our stay, with young grandchildren, a delight. One of the best properties we have stayed in
Wonderful venue. Three large bedrooms with three bathrooms. A terrace with stunning view. Everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay, and to top that it’s in a great location, no more than a 5 minute walk to the centre
We booked this property because it is in the middle of Bakewell, has parking spaces and three bathrooms. It fulfilled our needs and we had a great week of cycling and walking with nice weather
After an initial glitch our stay at the Brewhouse was super. The property is well equipped, comfortable and in an excellent location for walking into the town centre. Charles, the owner, was extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend friends or family to choose this property if they planned to have a holiday in the Peak District.
This is a very nice, well equipped property that is close to many Peak District attractions. Located in Bakewell this property is just a few minutes away from the Chatsworth Manor and Gardens. Less than a half hour away from the spa town of Buxton with its baths and parks. Hikers and bikers will have plenty of options. And there is also the famous Bakewell tarts and pudding. Shops, cafes, and pubs are all a short walk from this property.
The property was great, spacious and very clean. 2 minutes walking distance from the town center. Charles was also very helpful and responsive to our requests including a late departure. Great house for a staycation with family and friends in a big countryside house. Will repeat again

Terrific location, charming place
Very welcoming apartment in charming Bakewell. Clean, spacious, well appointed. Bright and clean. The sky-light adds fantastic light. The beds are comfortable, and each with its own bathroom. Just a pleasant short walk into town for pubs, bakeries, and grocery store. Highly recommended. We especially enjoyed renting bikes on the Monsail bike trail for a lovely afternoon.
Myself and my family stayed in Charles’ property for my sisters 30th Birthday. We all had a really great stay. Brew house has a fantastic location, only 5 minutes walk into the town centre. The living space has a lot of natural light coming through from the large skylights.
Charles is a great host, we had a slight issue with the boiler loosing pressure but he came round to fix the problem straight away. I would recommend Drew house to stay in for a short break/holiday!

Enjoyable stay
The Brew House is ideal for two or three couples or a family with three pleasant bedrooms and three modern bathrooms. The property is "quirky", being on three levels with the living area on the top floor, but this only adds to its charm and we loved the little patio garden with views over the town. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living accommodation comfortable. Parking in Progress Court can be a little hairy but the fact that the Brew House is only a short walk into town so easily more than made up for any slight parking inconvenience. The river walk into the centre of Bakewell is delightful. We had a great stay and would book again.
We had an very enjoyable holiday as did our four legged family member here in Bakewell. The property was in a perfect location near to good pubs, restaurants, riverside walks & the shopping area. We recommend the Woodyard & the exceptional Rutland Hotel both dog friendly as were most places.
We really appreciated such a nice spacious holiday home being dog friendly. The beds & 3 large reclining sofas were very comfortable and we enjoyed the open planned kitchen/dining/living area. The property was so clean & the facilities were excellent.
The owner was very pleasant & communicative. Our family joined us for part of the holiday which the owner readily agreed to.
The property was ideal for our family of six adults and a small dog. We had a slight blip as we did not receive the access code the day before travelling as promised, and spent the evening trying to contact the Property Manager to no avail. It arrived via text message at 7.05am on the day of travel, but it did give me a bit of a sleepless night! We liked the open plan kitchen/dining/living room and thought it worked well. We enjoyed games around the large table and chats snuggling on the three comfy sofas. The property was clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and having a bathroom per couple was great....no waiting around for people to come out of the shower! The property is well placed for a short walk into Bakewell. We very much enjoyed our time at Brew House.

Spacious clean and well equipped house less than 5 minutes walk to centre of Bakewell
We had a lovely holiday in Bakewell and enjoyed fantastic hikes and cycling in one of Englands gems - 'The Peak District'. Brewhouse was perfectly situated close to town in a quiet courtyard. Spacious clean accommodation with comfortable beds and good showers. We had family come and join us for a few days and had plenty of space for 6 of us. Easily parked our three cars (one in garage, a 4x4 in front of garage and the third on Bagshaw Hill 30metres away using free residences parking permit provided by owner). Great shopping and places to eat in town. The Peak district has some of the most varied and interesting hiking routes in the country. Recommend The Roaches, Wye valley, Derwent Valley, Dove Dale, Monsal Dale and Monsal Trail. Hope Valley, Mam Tor, Castleton, Kinder Scout and so many more. Can not wait to return.

Fantastic base for our family weekend!
Brew House was amazing! So comfortable and well equipped and very spacious for our party of six adults. When we arrived on a damp Friday afternoon the heating was on which was a lovely touch and bread, milk, tea and coffee had been left for us. We found the garage very useful for drying our dogs when we got back from our walks around Chatsworth and Milldale and the utility room good for leaving damp coats and shoes. We managed to park our cars in the garage and space provided though we did use the parking permit for one car if we were going in and out. The garden is very attractive with chairs and table for six though we didn't have the best weather so were not able to eat outdoors. It must be lovely in the summer. Had dinner on Sunday at the Peacock Inn which was very good and looked round Bakewell Market after we checked out on Monday. All in all a fantastic weekend. Thank you so much.
I was born and brought up in Sheffield. Now living and working in Aberdeen with my family and having spent many years living abroad we try to make an annual visit to see family and friends.
Brew house in Bakewell was the perfect location. Spacious, clean, good facilities,
Close to the centre, restaurants, beautiful walks for both children and dogs, fabulous Monday markets, superb farm shops with local produce.
The weather was beautiful which helped us to enjoy the outdoors.
We did manage to loose our small schnauzer, who managed to squeeze himself through the iron railings of the gate at the front of the property. He was soon picked up by a kind passer by who took him to the vet across the road. They contacted us quickly and we were very quickly reunited. Needless to say he wasn’t let out on his own again.
We have stayed in several other properties over the years in nearby Hathersage and Hope, your facility in Bakewell will leave lasting memories for us all.
We all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you
We spent a week at Bakewell, The Brew House was the key for us to have as much fun as we can. We are a big family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers, a toddler and our lovely Vizsla dog. There was enough room for everyone comfortably. The property is equipped with all what we needed. We had welcoming milk, tea and biscuits. The parking space for our long E-class was more than enough and was very convenient. The house is 5 minutes walk from Bakewell centre, with nice pubs, restaurants and the river. This was a bonus as you can easily walk to the pub to have a drink at the end of the day to relax. There was enough hot water to everyone through the combi boiler. There is a very nice terrace with beautiful view to have a glass of wine in the evening. Just one thing to notice, although we left the property by 10 am as requested, I was still packing my car, the cleaner lady was standing by our car trying to force us to leave not giving me a chance to pack the car comfortably. This has nothing to do with how wonderful the house is and I will definitely stay there again. Just beware if you have children and lots of luggage like us to try to leave very early to avoid the annoying cleaner. Charles the owner was very helpful at the start of our visit and was very easy to approach as upon arrival the garage door was wide open.
Overall, I will give the property 5 stars and I do recommend it if you wish to stay at Bakewell.
Our stay at Brew House was lovely. I wanted somewhere where people could come and go as we celebrated my partner's 30th. The location is great with the centre of Bakewell just 2 minutes down the road on foot and the Aldi in the opposite direction that is 2 minutes by car.
We had friends come one night and family on another. The owners of the property were more than happy for us to have people over and have extra people stay. He even explained where we could find more chairs in storage and the kitchen was well stocked for entertaining. There are 2 fridges which was great as we could store our food and drinks for everyone without issue.
The master bedroom is lovely with plenty of room. Our guests said their bedrooms were comfy.
The living area is great with plenty of room for people. We brought a games console and there was room to plug it into the TV.
The only downside to the property is if you're unlucky when you first arrive and aren't great at reversing because the garage can be tricky getting in and out of if there are cars parked in the courtyard. But once our car was parked, there was nothing to fault. And we suck at reversing to be honest. My sister managed it just fine in her bigger car.
Would love to stay again next time we're in Bakewell.
The accommodation was clean & comfortable, especially the beds. The welcome pack was useful for us to start our holiday.
It is an ideal location to enjoy the many attractions & walks in that area & was an easy, flat walk into the town. The nearby walk by the river was lovely for our morning & evening dog walks.
I would suggest a gate at the top of the steps to prevent dogs or little children from going down to the bottom gate, which was sometimes left open by others.
Very clean and well equipped property in a great location.
Open plan kitchen, dining room and lo
Easy walk into Bakewell along the river.

About the host
Hosted by Peak Holidays
We had a change of career a few years ago, and manage a small number of holiday cottages in the Peak District, which we look after personally. We work in the Peak District, so are always nearby on-call should you need any help or support during your stay.
Why they chose this property
Brew House is such an unusual property in that it offers the friends or family group the opportunity to socialise together in warm comfortable surroundings whatever activities you want to do.It is very close to the centre of town yet is also quiet and has great amenities in parking and accommodation.
We love the beauty of the countryside and the diversity of the different villages, the local customs and festivals and of course the people who live here.
Bakewell is the centre of the Peak District and is a tourist attraction in itself, but it also makes the surrounding area very accessible by car, on foot or by public transport.
What makes this property unique
Brew House is very spacious and rather unusual as it is an "upside down" house. The benefits of this are that the large living space makes a very light and warm area where everybody can get together and enjoy one another's company whether cooking, eating or just relaxing. Free Wi-Fi is also available.
There are very few if any other houses available in Bakewell with the accommodation the Brew House offers in having 3 bedrooms and bathrooms and parking for 3 cars all within 300 yds of the Town Centre.
The walk into town is flat and level and so is very easy giving great access to the shops, pubs and restaurants without getting the car out.
