Fabulous panoramic Villa in private residential location just 10 mins from Alghero town centre and Beaches. Private 13m pool set in delightful gardens and boasting priceless views towards the sea. Unique and beautiful house, built with great attention to detail using local stone, and antique terracotta tiles. Spacious living area with both wooden floors and tiled. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, big double fridge freezer. Laundry/wet room with washing machine and second fridge. Well water, solar panels and Air conditioning. 2 acres of private land, some laid to lawn and flowering beds. Electronic gates parking for 5/6 cars. Private road with no through traffic. The villa is situated in a quiet, residential location and groups who wish to "Party all night" are discouraged. All bed linen, bath towels plus 1 big pool towel per person are provided at a cost of €15 per person to be paid in loco. (This also covers all utilities) there is no charge for cleaning but guests are required to leave kitchen, fridge and all utensils clean on departure (Failure to do so will result in a cleaning debit to the security deposit)

The stay was wonderful, big house, big fun.

Alison's warm welcoming fits with the amazing house. Many rooms, house perfectly equipped, big swimming pool, all is perfect for a relaxing stay. The location seems first a bit far from town, but is actually perfect for discovering Alghero and other parts of close Sardinia.

10 days were not enough

We are 4 families, each with one small child. The villa was perfect for us! We were very sad having to leave today. Thank you Alison for the wonderful stay, we absolutely loved it!

Amazing stay

We rented this beautiful house to celebrate a family birthday, and it exceeded our expectations. The house is spacious and well equipped with an amazing view over the landscape and sea of Alghero. The pool area is also beautiful with plenty of sun beds to relax on. We felt instantly comfortable there, which is probably also due to the fact that it was the owner's family home before they decided to make a vacation home for rent out of it. We were 12 people and the space was just right for us. We would definitely come back. Thank you Alison!

A beautiful and cosy house with great garden

Alison is a very nice host and gave us a warm welcome to her house, explained things about the house and gave advise on what can be done in the area. It's a large and comfortable and cosy house, with a well-equiped kitchen and has a very nice garden with a large swimmingpool, sunbeds and places to relax both in the shade and in the sun. It was close to Alghero (10 car minutes), Alghero has a nice old center with small shops, nice bars and restaurants. Also a nice beach an, it's is easy to park. Close to Alghero we went for quad biking, via ferrata and we rented bikes. We had a lovely week!

Fantastic location, impeccably maintained

We had a wonderful stay here. Alison keeps the villa in an impeccable condition - and is incredibly friendly, sharing home grown produce daily. The pool and outside area was lovely - and the views to the coast were fantastic. Only 5 mins drive to the supermarket and 15 mins drive to the town. We had some amazing meals in the area but also made use of the BBQ facilities. We were 10 (8 adults, 2 young children) and it always felt very spacious - both inside and outside. Only slight niggle was the weak wifi connection - but thats the only downside of being off the beaten track. All in all, would highly recommend this property.

Relaxing vacation

We really lucked out, the place is phenomenal and we had a wonderful time at the villa. We were two families from Canada with children between 7-13. The villa is fantastic with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, a wonderful pool, beautiful yard and lots of space for the family. There is lots of space to cook and BBQ together, and enjoy a family meal on the patio. It is somewhat remote but only 12 min to Alghero, the nearest town. You need a car. Alison the host is super to deal with, very friendly and quick to respond. This part of Sardinia is beautiful, and especially the water and beaches . We had a great time in this villa, I highly recommend it!

Wonderful place!

We stayed with 4 adults and 1 little child in Alison's house and it was one of the best holiday experiences we had in a long time. The villa is located on a hill, ca. 10 minutes by car to Alghero. The view on the sea is sensational and the huge outside area with pool and garden is made to spend a lazy day. The house is equipped with more than you will ever need. There's a big fridge and a very modern gas stove in the kitchen. All (5!) bathrooms have showers and are kept very clean, just like the rest of the house. The living room area is spacious and cozy, lots of couches and easy chairs to hang out. Whenever we had a question the host was happy to help immediately. There's absolutely nothing to criticize, which is why we highly recommend this holiday destination to everybody. We will definitely try to come again some time. Thank you, Alison!

Lovely house, amazing view!

We booked Alison’s property for my sister’s birthday. We were a family of 8, 5 adults and 3 young children (8,6 & 4). We had a lovely welcome from Alison who had, kindly, left us some essentials before we headed out to the shops. This house is a great size and was perfect for everything we needed. The pool, whilst chilly (we went in May) was clean and very well maintained. There are plenty of sun loungers and a couple of umbrellas too. There is no fencing, but it is well seen from house and we has no issues! The shops in Alghero are only approx 10 mins drive away and are well stocked. Alghero and the surrounding area are also very pretty. There are some lovely beaches in the area too. Alison was great and ordered a cake from a local bakery for us - it was delicious!! What made our trip was the absolutely stunning sunsets you see from this house! We’re sorry to be leaving!

Merci à la propriétaire pour sa prévenance ! Villa entièrement climatisée, avec de multiples solutions de couchage pour s’organiser au mieux. Coin salon convivial, cuisine avec tous les équipements nécessaires. Le coin piscine nous a régalé : grande largeur, ombre sous les arbres, vue sur le soleil rasant sur la mer chaque soir. Sous la tonnelle, espace pour grande tablée très agréable ! Petit plus : la profusions d’équipements à disposition pour tous les âges (siège haut bébé, masques, tubas, transat, bbq…). Excellent choix !

Ein Traum

Wunderschönes Haus in einem sehr schön angelegten Garten mit einem Traumpool. Etwas abenteuerlicher Weg bevor man das Ziel erreicht, aber mit jedem Fahrzeug machbar. Wir wollen wieder kommen!

Todo fue genial. Fuimos a celebrar los 50 años de mi padre toda la familia. La casa es acogedora y amplia. Hay dos habitaciones con acceso directo desde fuera que ayudan a tener más intimidad. Aire acondicionado en todas las estancias. La piscina y vistas espectacular. Cada día nos reuníamos a las 20:00 para ver ponerse el sol. La casa tiene de todo en cuanto a menaje. La barbacoa perfecta para disfrutarla. Alison nos respondió siempre a todas las preguntas y nos dio buenos consejos. En definitiva, no lo duden, hemos pasado una semana fantástica!

Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt 👍

Wir sind mit zwei Familien verreist, vier Erwachsene und vier Kinder. Das Haus ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und man sieht an einigen Stellen Abnutzungserscheinungen. Auch die Gartenmöbel und Schirme könnten eine Erneuerung gut vertragen. Auch die Sauberkeit des Hauses und der Gartenmöbel hätte besser sein können. Die Lage des Hauses und die Gartenanlage ist traumhaft! Der Pool ist riesig und die Kinder hatten eine Menge Spaß. Auch die Eigentümerin Alison ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und steht immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite! Sie hatte für uns bereits etwas eingekauft, für die erste Mahlzeit. Die Anfahrt fanden wir nicht so beschwerlich, wie in vorangegangenen Bewertungen beschrieben. Etwas holprig und etwas abgelegen, aber dafür eine traumhafte Alleinlage. Alles in allem war es ein wunderschöner Urlaub für uns.

Wow - what a place

We had a BRILLIANT week at Alison's Place. It was perfect for us 3 Families with altogehter 11 People. It was like a lottery win to book that place. Alghero nearby is one of the most beautiful cities Sardinia has. The beaches that Alison recommended where just great. As we love to cook wer particulary enjoyed the perfectly equipped Kitchen. Vacanza incantevole

Ho alloggiato nella villa di Alison insieme ad altri 13 amici. L’alloggio ha tutti i comfort che si desiderano, ogni stanza della casa è dotata di aria condizionata e gli ambienti sono curati nel minimo dettaglio. La zona è tranquilla ed ha una bellissima vista sul mare. Alison è sempre stata disponibile con noi, ha reso perfette le nostre vacanze! La consiglio assolutamente!

La maison est parfaite et correspond exactement à la description qui en était faite. La maison est extrêmement bien équipée, d'une propreté remarquable et dotée de grandes pièces qui permettent à tous les occupants de disposer de suffisamment d'intimité. Perfekte Ferien in einer perfekten Villa und Umgebung

Das Haus und die Umgebung sind sehr gepflegt und wunderschön! Es bietet die perfekten Bedingungen für einen entspannten Urlaub mit einer befreundetem Familie. Überall laden schöne Plätze zum Verweilen ein. Und der grosszügige Pool bietet eine willkommene Abkühlung. Das nächstgelegene Städtchen Alghero ist wunderschön und idealbzum Flanieren. Die Gastgeberin Alison ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Thanks a lot Alison for everything! We hope that we will be able to come back one day!

The perfect vacation house - charming country house and comfortable luxury combined

We traveled with our family (3 generations) and had several conditions to our trip (traveled with disabled person, aged persons and small child in the group). Thanks to the excellent communication and help from Alison we could prepare the trip in the best way and the house really lived up to all our needs and more! For us this was really the perfect house to spend a family holiday, with great access for all (avoiding stairs for some, having privacy for others like the 18/20 year old's and even a room that suited perfectly for our wheelchair bound traveler). What we loved about the house was the feeling of luxury and abundance in combination with sweet homey details - it felt like a real, local home and in the same time a luxury vacation house. Beds and bathrooms were spacious and well equipped, room not exposed to morning sun, so we enjoyed sleeping with open windows (however, there is also well functioning AC option in the rooms). Also big plus for shutters that made it dark in the room, and mosquito nets for all the windows! Alison really went the extra mile to make it easy and comfortable for us, and whenever we had a question she was so quick and helpful in her responses. The road to access the house is a bit steep but totally worth it (and yes you need a car to access); the view is fantastic and supermarkets are close by (no need to go into city center). For us this was really the perfect stay and I definitely recommend the property and its host to anyone - wonderful vacation guaranteed!!!

Why they chose this property

We didn't actually buy our property... We built it!
My husband is from Alghero and we have lived here for 33 years. 23 years ago we saw a lovely peace of land for sale and decided to build our dream house!
The area was quite remote but now we have some neighbours but each of us has a minimum 2 acre plot.
The view is fantastic from our hilltop position. The colours of the countryside are striking and mostly all you can hear are the crickets, the birds and the breeze rustling the palm tree.
No traffic and noise, and yet we are only 10 minutes away from one of the busiest and most successful tourist centres of the Island: Alghero. Which has just about everything both for tourists and residents alike. And we are only 15 mins from an international airport.

What makes this property unique

The property is located in a private residential area of detached villas each on plots of at least 2 acres, so there are no overlooking neighbours.
There are fabulous uninterrupted views of the sea over the rolling countryside and olive groves.
There is peace and quiet, especially by the 13m / 6m pool. Plus security as the property has electric gates.
The town of Alghero and the beaches are just 10/15 minutes by car. Alghero offers a vast selection of great restaurants, bars, and shopping in the pretty old town centre plus traditional markets, festivals, culture and is brimming with history.
The beaches are of fine white sand and the sea is a transparent blue.
