Loved the largeness of the lodge - went for lovely walks - Andrew very helpful - massive kitchen and table - excellent fun on pool table - everyone enjoyed themselves!
Excellent sized lodge with really spacious living/dining/kitchen area.
En-suite bedrooms a real bonus and we really loved the pool table!
Would recommend water activities on the lake and food and drink in the onsite pub.
A lovely spacious family home perfect for families with kids and animals. Plenty of space outside to play and the interior is well decorated and packed with activities for the evenings. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax and spend time with friends or family.

Relaxing holiday location and lovely views
Spacious and ideal for a large family providing a good base with plenty of places to visit
The lodge was lovely, spacious and well provisioned. Views of the lake from the balcony were beautiful. We enjoyed local walks on the river Nar and in the local forestry commission as well as seal watching at Blakeney and exploring Kings Lynn. It was a fantastic location as we were guests at a wedding at Pentney Abbey only a 10 minute walk away . Highly recommend it.
Spacious open living and kitchen area with a pool table is perfect for a large group holiday. Very comfy and cosy and had everything we needed. Great communication from the hosts too.
Perfect, spacious place to stay for groups/large families. Lovely open plan socialising area. Fabulous views from the kitchen with regular visits from swans and a heron. Large children's playground at the lakes entrance and a lovely cafe.
This was the perfect size for a large family break. Our children enjoyed the playground and board games and we all loved the pool table. Plenty of space for everyone and the 4 large bathrooms were an added bonus! There was a lovely view from the living room too. Thank you.
Very cosy but large lodge in peaceful location. Comfortable beds with the luxury of four en-suite bath/ shower rooms. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable seating for everyone. Loved the log burner. Delightful view of the lake. Kings Lynn and all shopping, entertainment and eating opportunities you could wish for in easy reach.
A really nice lodge to stay for our family group it was clean and very well presented. It must be hard to keep holiday let properties looking their best all the time, but the hosts have done a good job in doing so.
Andrew and Corrine kept us informed with all the details we needed before our stay. A very peaceful location.
Would happily book again for next year.
We had a lovely time in the cabin! The owners called us beforehand to check in with us and made sure we could find it, due to the rural location. The cabin is well looked after and was clean and tidy when we arrived. Plenty of space for the 8 of us.
We had a great weekend away thanks to Andy & Corinne's lovely house.
All the rooms were clean and well stocked - the bedrooms, bathrooms, and the fantastic open plan kitchen, dining and living room (with pool table) were even better than they looked in the photos.
Thank you to Andy & Corinne.
We would definitely recommend their property to anyone wanting a warm welcome, and a fun & relaxing break from city life.
Great property at beautiful location if you are looking for a peaceful holiday. We received from Andrew lots of information about the lodge and also useful tips where to go, what to see. The lodge was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The pool table was much appreciated it was used a lot 😄 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to book again. Thank you
As a group of eight friends this was perfect. Four great en-suite bedrooms.
The upstairs living space is Fantastic, the kitchen has everything you need, plenty of seating in the lounge area & a pool table for some extra fun. Lots of games & dvds for entertainment & all set in a wonderful rural setting which was perfect for our dogs.
Would 100% recommend
Very large comfortable lodge, beds were super comfy, the bathrooms with bath and walk in shower were great. Large living area with huge TV and DVD, pool table was fun. The kitchen well equipped, and the view of the lake stunning. The area is very pretty, and quite, easy to get around the area, plenty of places to visit near by, and loads of restaurants, two only a few minutes away The Carpenters Arms and Middleton's. Plenty of parking and nice walks around the lakes. Great for large family/friends gathering
This property is a great place for a get together as it is spacious, clean, well equipped and has ensuite bathrooms in each of the 4 rooms, so no queueing/waiting required.
The upside down living accommodation means you get a good view of the water skiing lake from one of the balconies.
The pool table provided good entertainment for the kids and the adults alike.
We booked the Lodge as we were attending an event at Sandringham 13 miles away, about a half hour drive.
The owner was very helpful with advice about the property, site and local information.
Many thanks.
The upstairs open-plan lounge and kitchen area is bright, spacious and very well equipped, with a wraparound verandah overlooking one of the lakes. The four downstairs en-suite bedrooms are ideal for larger families or groups of friends. However, the lighting in the bedrooms and bathrooms is very poor, making the rooms dark and uninviting. More powerful lightbulbs would make a world of difference. Apart from that, I would recommend Alpine Lodge as a great place to stay.
It was a lovely weekend, the place had everything we needed. We were under the impression that we wouldn't have any neighbours near us when in fact we had other cabins on all sides of the cabins. We were a bit self conscious about annoying other neighbours when we were out on the balcony but I don't think there were any problems. We would definitely stay again however, maybe in the summer so we can do more outdoor activities. And Andy who is one of owners was lovely and gave us all the info we needed, really put us at ease.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness
Feeling a little tired considering the rental charge
Too many cobwebs and dust, but most concerning were the mice droppings in the cutlery draw requiring a complete clean down. Clearly not been cleaned for a while.

About the host
Hosted by Corinne and Andrew Ramm
We are both hurtling toward retirement and appreciate a slower pace of life which is what drew us toward Pentney Lakes.
Why they chose this property
This was a self-build project with the cabin coming from the Transylvanian forests of Romania and needed a large plot and an open tranquil spot in which to set it and Pentney Lakes was the perfect place for it.
What makes this property unique
Space, quiet and freedom.
