Seaside Luxury Villa Cottage with Hot Tub and stunning uninterrupted sea views!
Swn y Don is a fantastic house in a fantastic location. Translated from Welsh Swn y Don means 'Sound of the waves'. This superb detached house is situated within the pretty harbour village of Cemaes Bay. Modern ,luxurious and all on one level, the house sits on the edge of the coastal path with some of the most dramatic views on the island! Walk out of the large Sun/sea room , past the large luxury hot tub, across the well kept lawn and at the end of the Garden is the sea ! You are literally on the coastal footpath and one of the most beautiful walks in Wales ! Situated in the harbour village of Cemaes Bay with its many shops and artisan bakery and butcher, not to mention the very picturesque beach called 'Traeth mawr'. The coast line on this part of the island is wild and rugged and some would say the most beautiful part of North Wales. So similar is it to some of the coastlines further north that this stretch of coast is fondly referred to as 'Scotland Bach' or little Scotland.

Turned up to the house in the dark, but impressed straight away with the property. All rooms to high standard and well laid out with the addition of the small kitchen/bedroom/bathroom/living area which was excellent for our family with an infant to have thier own space. Well equipped and hot tub/garden provided fabulous extra space and stunning views. Lovely walk to the village over the cliffs and Cemaes Bay itself is great to visit, fabulous coastline/beach, shop, icecream parlour, pubs and a chippy! Easy driving distance to other places of interest in Anglesey. Fabulous weeks stay.
Fantastic location. Very helpful owners/property manager. Kitchen pans could do with an upgrade. Two bathroom windows wouldn’t open and the small bedroom has paint flaking from the ceiling onto to the bed. Internet connection is very slow if you need to work. None of these minor criticisms would put me off staying again.
Every member of the family enjoyed their stay. Every day something different to do and see.
The villa was as described spacious clean in fact everything you could wish for. The showers were amazing. Loved the beer/wine fridge. The garden was maintained so big too. The views were spectacular. We would highly recommend.
I cant praise this holiday property enough...to start with on arrival there is a key codecso really easy. Inside on arrival property was spotlessly clean. Lovely touches that made lofe with a todler so easy. Dishwasher tablets, washing capsules, bottle of prosecco all supplied. Everything you would need to relax was there. Sensor lights which helps a little one if they wake and not sure where they are. A window from kitchen to hugh conservatory so i could watch toddler when i was in the kitchen. Lovely flow to the property.
Then the view...stunning doesnt capture the view. Plus the sunsets out to sea which is beautiful. So relaxing. Hottub brilliant!
All the bedrooms were nicely decorated so home from home feel.
The beach is sandy and only a few minutes walk from the proprty so again ideal for a young family. The cafe in the village does lovely food too.
To top it off we left some clothes behind in one of the bedrooms...lorraine spotted this before we did a is posting them back for us. What a gem.
We will look to return in the future.
A beautiful property. Felt like home from home. Stunning sea views to the rear and right onto the coastal path from the garden gate. Amazing sunsets viewed from the fantastic hot tub. So peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed our stay so much.
Swn Y Don was the perfect place for a quiet relaxing family holiday with easy access to the coast path and local beaches and uninterrupted views of the sea
This bungalow is located on the edge of Cemaes Bay in Anglesey. It is large spacious and well equipped. The views are outstanding with direct access to the coast path from the end of the garden. We had dogs with us nd the garden was very secure. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. The property was very clean and well equipped with ample parking and easy access. We had elderly relatives with us who benefitted from it being on one level.
We would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again.
Fabulous location and stunning views. Excellent accommodation, very spacious and well equipped. All queries were answered promptly. Will definitely go back and have already recommended the property to friends.
Ideal property for our family Christmas. Plenty of space for 8 adults, two children and dogs. Multiple sitting areas were perfect to allow us freedom when we don’t all want to do the same thing and plenty of cooking space due to the two kitchen areas. The outside space was amazing, beautiful views and right on the coastal path for walks. We were also fortunate enough for some nice weather so we got to enjoy the hot tub too. Would love to come back again in the future and would highly recommend this property.
Great property. Very clean. Perfect location for a quiet holiday or a short walk or car journey to plenty of amenities. Agent was so helpful. We had a great family holiday and would definitely recommend.
Modern clean family accommodation with a big garden and wonderful sea views.
Very well equipped if you need to cook at home
Ie. elderly relatives/ small children.
Thoughtful and generous provision of basic household needs, ie.cleaning and laundry.
.Our family ranged from a 98 blind great granny to a boisterous 3 year old and the property suited us all.
We were not disappointed by the quality, comfort, location or the amenities provided.
The walks available right outside the gate provided a much needed escape and we never became tired of the views.
Our only negative experience was with the frustration caused by power issues that were eventually attributed to a fault on the dishwasher. This took several days to resolve, but thanks to the property manager, Lorraine and the friendly maintenance guy who kept needing to return, a new dishwasher was installed.
An amazing week in an amazing property along with wonderful weather. The accommodation was superb with plenty of room for us all to spread out. Our grandchildren appreciated the outdoor space and we all appreciated the hot tub. With wonderful views and amazing sunsets what more could we want? Would love to return
We went as a family of 7 and a small dog 🐶 for Easter. We’ve been to wales many times but not this part of wales. We weren’t disappointed! The house was lovely and spacious and had a huge garden for the dog to run around. The views are absolutely amazing !!!! Loved the hot tub on the days that we had some sun. We all had a great time .. thanks for having us!!
7 of us stayed here (for the 2nd time!). House Is situated on sea front, gorgeous views and walks on your doorstep. The house is spacious and equipped with everything you can think of. Love this property and would highly recommend
The property is spacious, with three sitting areas, so ideal for a family to have some space. 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms ensure no arguments. Well appointed kitchen and sharp knives, which is a huge plus!
Fantastic coastal views and the jacuzzi was an added bonus. We had a fab week exploring Anglesey.
House is as described but the garden and views exceed the description. Plenty of personal space indoors for the six of us if needed and the large Conservatory provided excellent space for evening entertainment with overall view of the garden to monitor what the children and dog were doing.
Only minor criticism is that King Size beds could replace the smaller Queen size. Showers and bathrooms are more than adequately equipped with luxurious fittings. Might be an idea to include a medium size fan, particularly for the ‘extension’ bedroom, the lack of opening window caused some discomfort.
Mark is very helpful in answering queries and is to be complemented, along with Lorraine in the presentation of the house.
