Enjoy spectacular views from Bayview Cottage with unparalleled views of Mevagissey Harbour, St Austell Bay and the sea.

Bayview is located a stone’s throw from Mevagissey’s picturesque working harbour, where great pubs, restaurants and bars line the promenade.

A creatively terraced garden behind the house is a rare asset in this location. The garden is ideal for relaxing with a drink, having BBQ's, soaking up the sun and of course taking in the views!!

Bayview Cottage is the ideal retreat for a family holiday, a gathering with friends, or a peaceful escape to Cornwall. Children are warmly welcomed, and provisions such as a travel cot and high chair are available upon request.

Each room boasts spacious dimensions and thoughtful decor. Guests consistently rave about the breathtaking views from the living room, master bedroom, and loft bedroom.

The bathrooms are individually designed, generously sized, and feature modern, high-quality finishes.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a range with a 5-ring Ceran hob and ample open space. The open-plan layout of the kitchen and dining area encourages pre-dinner drinks and communal cooking experiences. For those preferring to dine out, Mevagissey offers a variety of excellent restaurants, many of which showcase local fish and Cornish produce.

Helpful Information:

Complimentary parking is provided for one car nearby. The road in front of the house is wide enough for two cars, allowing you to briefly drop off guests or load and unload without obstructing traffic.
During the summer months, our changeover day is Fridays. However, we are happy to accommodate alternative days for the remainder of the year.
For your convenience, a washing machine, dryer, ironing board, and iron are available at the property.
Towels and bed linen are provided, so there's no need to bring your own.

Beautiful Bay View

Booking into the house was amazing. It was such a beautiful place. I almost would never rent it if it belonged to me. The view of the bay was gorgeous. Every room was immaculate and comfortable. The beds. were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The underfloor heating in the kitchen and dining room was a dream. There was nothing we didn't love about the house. Except the parking, lol.The house was cool when we first got there but Nevin responded quickly and dealt with the thermostat.Wr would absolutely book it again if we came back to Mevagissey.this. rental accept the parking LO. L

Fantastic house in ideal location

Large house, plenty of room downstairs with everything you need. Master bedroom has fantastic views of harbour and Mevagissey. Excellent communication and well recommended.

The perfect location

Bayview cottage is perfectly situated overlooking Mevagissey harbour with stunning views no matter the weather! The rooms are all large, comfy, bright & impeccably kept. The kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Again the bedrooms are all large and very comfortable with the main bedroom having the most amazing views to the harbour and out to sea as does the top bedroom. The bathrooms are all a very good size clean and very well presented. The walk into Mevagissey…About 120 seconds 👍 All in all it’s the perfect holiday cottage in the perfect location it’s a 10/10 from us.

Our second visit to Bayview Cottage and another wonderful fortnight at this delightful home. It’s every bit as magical as we remembered - a lovely location with great views, well appointed and well equipped, and a great base for a Cornish holiday.

Brilliant stay in lovely home

A spacious and clean house in an excellent location close to the centre of Mevagissy. Communication with the owner beforehand was great and everything was as described. The house is very well equipped with everything needed for catering, including a bbq (bring your own charcoal) . Beds were super comfy and the 2 bedrooms at the front of the house had stunning views for boat, seal and people watching. There are a number of lovely restaurants, cafes and bakeries in the town, plus ice cream shops of course. 2 beaches are within walking distance and many more short drives away. There are a couple of large supermarkets a short drive away. The allocated car parking space was a walk up the very steep hill but close enough. We hope to return!

Family Celebration

The location of the house was great with easy access to the centre of Mevagissey as well as wonderful views across the estuary. Likewise the house itself offered a great deal with all the rooms splendid in size and with several overlooking the bay. The garden offered plenty of space to enjoy outside meals in the sunshine. The whole house was beautifully presented both in terms of furniture and all facilities.

Amazing views and well equipped spacious property.

We had a wonderful time in Bayview and can fully recommend it. We will be returning. The property has a fantastic location with a short downhill walk to the village. As with many Cornish locations, parking is a premium, however the property does have an allocated space up the hill. The owners were very helpful in advising on areas to park our second vehicle.. There is so much to do in the area for all ages. Overall an amazing holiday.

Amazing home from home property situated in a wonderful position; amazing views!

Party of six 'mature' adults looking to visit Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. The spacious cottage was perfect in every way; right from the well equipped kitchen to the heavenly views of the harbour from the lounge and 2 of the bedrooms. Nevin was on hand to answer any questions prior to our visit by email; for example the parking of the second car! We have been telling all our friends and family about Bayview Cottage and only hope that if we visit the area in the future we can stay longer than 4 nights and hopefully visit in the summer so as to utilise the bbq and that gorgeous garden with those wonderful views!

Great family space and wonderful views

This was our 4th visit to Bay View - and as usual the lovely property was pristine and offered everything our family needs. We have long time connections to Mevagissey so were well aware of the steep hill and the necessity to park in the carpark which is a short walk away. We visited various locations - Mevagissey is a good base to reach most areas. There is plenty to see and do locally- from walking to beaches, plenty of places to eat, fishing and pleasure trips by boat. Our grandsons particularly enjoyed a daily visit to the model railway, while others had a splendid morning at a nearby spa facility. The property offers really comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Lovely to find a welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk - much needed after a long drive! We shall be returning hopefully.

Lovely house, spacious, light and airy!

The village and the house were both lovely and it was great that we could get in earlier than expected as our car had broken down on arrival. With 2 kids in our party of 6 would have loved a pull out bed option but they were so exhausted from bodyboarding and crabbing they barely knew they were in the same bed. The road outside was the main downside to this location, it is steep and single track - this resulted in cars speeding past the house and left us unable to let the kids explore from the house on their own. A dressing table/chair in the front bedroom on the first floor would have been useful. The outside space was lovely as it was such good weather. All in all a lovely property!

It was nice to have our own bedrooms & bathrooms, there was 4 people in our party. Amazing views from front windows. Near to everything you needed, pubs, tea rooms, restaurants, gift shops, harbour. Well equipped, dish washer & washing machine. Everything was spotless! Would highly recommend. Car was parked in the village car park, not next to property, which was sometimes inconvenient.

Short break

Recently stayed at bayview cottage in mevagissy with friends visiting from America. We had a great time. Cottage is very spacious with four good sized rooms and three bathrooms. Short walk to car park, harbour and restaurants. Great views of the harbour from the bedrooms . It was easy to talk directly to the owner to make final arrangements and questions about the cottage. Would book the cottage again next time we are in Cornwall .

Beautiful, well maintained, clean cottage with the most fantastic view.

Beautiful cottage with the most amazing view - we didn't draw the curtains all week! The cottage is well maintained with everything you need and was extremely clean with very comfortable beds. The walk up from Mevagissey isn't too far or too steep given the amazing view. The car park permit worked fine for us. I would highly recommend this gorgeous cottage and look forward to staying there again in the future.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location

We travelled as a party of 7, 6 adults and 1 child. We were all stunned by the beauty of Mevagissey and so impressed by the standard of the property. The house was very clean and spacious with stunning views of the harbour from the front windows. The hill climb to the house was a bit of a challenge, but by day two everyone was used to it. It was a great place to completely relax and unwind I would highly recommend this property and would like to thank Nevin for making my Dad's 70th birthday one that the whole family will remember.

We came across Bayview Cottage in 2012 and decided to make an offer within 1 hour of viewing the cottage. We were won over by the fantastic location and the unparalleled views.

What makes this property unique

Our home from home is a comfortable, warm, light and modern cottage. The icing on the cake is our terraced garden which has spectacular views, space to eat, drink and watch the world go by.
