Five stars for everything - spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable cottage - we really enjoyed our stay. Lovely lemon cake - I think it was home baked, plus milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Rosemary made us feel welcome.
This was our third stay in this delightful cottage. Full of character and very well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Peaceful location. Delightful garden. Always a warm welcome from Rosemary and delicious cake!! So much to see and do in Shropshire, you'll be spoilt for choice.
Old mill cottage is a lovely, spacious and beautifully restored cottage with many original features.
We spent three nights there and the owner has thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. We will definitely rebook when we next come to visit Shropshire.
An absolute pleasure. A beautiful cottage setting. Well equipped, restful, and peaceful. The surrounding areas and nearby sights were wonderful.
The owner was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful.
Thank you.
Perfect cottage set in a garden that is a work of art
The owner gave us excellent directions, and when we arrived, we found the cottage exactly as expected, except, if anything, that it seemed brighter inside. In the kitchen was a homemade cake to greet us, and each room downstairs had freshly picked flowers from the stunning garden. The cottage was immaculately clean and very comfortable; everything had been thought about with great care. We highly recommend this property and this owner to anyone looking to stay in this area or if you are not sure where to stay. Enjoy!
The cottage was exactly as listed and of a very high standard inside. Located in a quiet village but close enough to everything we planned to do on our holiday, would happily stay here again.
Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
The cottage was absolutely lovely, clean finished to a high standard, everything that you could possibly want was there, the host had baked a lovely welcome treat, would recommend to anyone
We found the property with relative ease and Rosemary was most obliging even digging up potatoes for us out of the garden and other produce too....it was very hot but we coped as the cottage is very well equipped would return if was in the area another time.
We are just home from the most amazing stay here. Set in a quiet area, the only noise we could hear was birdsong and the odd sheep! My boys loved having the stream to splash in and build dams. On a particularly rainy day, the owner kindly came and lent us a train set for our boys to play with. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need for a short stay, complete with the log burner fully loaded and a freshly baked cake laid out for our arrival. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had beautiful views and was the perfect base for us. We visited the attractions in Telford which was only half an hour away. I would fully recommend this cottage as the perfect getaway from the usual hustle and bustle of normal life. Thank you!
We’ve had such a wonderful weekend in sunny Shropshire. The house was perfect. Beautiful gardens, stunning internal decoration. Rosemary gave us a wonderful recommendation for a walk at Snailbeach. We highly recommend this property.
This is a cracking place. We had a very relaxing few days staying here. Everything in the Cottage is great quality. It's warm and has comfortable beds. It's better than it looks in the photos! Rosemary is a lovely host. We didn't explore as much as we intended to as we enjoyed relaxing in the Cottage so much! Highly recommended.
An absolutely lovely stay here. Welcomed with a delicious homemade lemon cake and a pint of milk so we could make a cuppa. Super comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen, lovely lounge with an abundance of local places to visit leaflets and a cupboard full of games to keep the kids entertained. The log burner was an absolute winner, making the cottage so cosy in the evenings. Rosemary was an absolute delight, so friendly and went above and beyond with helping us. Cannot wait to come back X ❤️
A real find. The cottage was spacious, quiet and well equipped, set off a narrow lane in amongst a small collection of houses. Formerly a barn, the conversion has been made with a great deal of care and attention to detail. Rural location but with easy access to Shrewsbury and motorways. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely break away for a week. The property was very well equipped and in a lovely quiet rural setting. There was plenty to do within a short car ride and we would recommend the castle at Powis, Shrewsbury and the viaduct at Chirk. Rosemary was a lovely host, available if required but never intrusive. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.
We had a lovely holiday at the cottage which is beautifully decorated and with all the mod cons. Great for children with a lovely garden and high chair. On our arrival there was a small problem with the TV which Rosemary quickly replaced with a brand new one - brilliant service! There is a lot to do in the local area including castles, steam trains, canal boat trips, parks and National Trust places. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday 🙂
Our 2nd stay in this beautiful cottage. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Fabulous garden and blissfully quiet. Great location for exploring Shropshire.
