Lovely property

Lovely property in a fantastic location. Quiet and peaceful, exactly what I wanted. And that bed! It was like sleeping on marshmallows...I struggled to get up. I'd definitely recommend it and would love to go back.

Stay was lovely

Nice house, nice view from the house. Good places to walk the dog locally or in the right place to jump in the car and go wherever you want.

Wonderful stay in beautiful and comfortable house

We had the most wonderful week in this beautiful house. Very well equipped, warm and cosy yet plenty of room and space. The beds were the comfiest we have experienced in a holiday home. A beautiful garden in a wonderful spot, short walk to pub and the coastal path walk which was breathtaking. Plenty of local days out in mixed weather. We slept like babies and feel very rested after a wonderful break. A lovely welcome tray on our arrival was such a thoughtful touch. Gillon the labrador also had a lovely time! Thank you Robert and Kay - we hope to return one day.

Cornwall Holiday

The property was very homely, and welcoming. It has all that you need, to have a very comfortable stay. The proximity for coastal walks is less than 10 minutes, which was wonderful. Beautiful scenery and the hosts Robert and Kay were very friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St. Cyrs.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St. Cyrs. The cottage is in a good location and walking distance to the beach and excellent proximity to the pub. Also, within easy driving distance of local attractions. The whole family had a great time, especially the dog!

Family holiday in the beautiful retreat of Treen

Such an incredible holiday home with a lovely welcome...thank you both so much! For the six of us and the two dogs, it was just the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the world. Every beach we came across was just amazing! We’ve even taken some of the beautiful plants home. I just hope I can look after them and they looks as stunning as yours, up north! We’ll most definitely be venturing back soon!

Peace and tranquility at its best. Pure heaven

Robert and Kaye were excellent hosts they left us alone to enjoy the property but we’re always on hand if we needed to know anything. It was very enjoyable having short chats with Robert most mornings as he went about his business looking after his flowers. The views from the cottage are great we spent hours just sitting in the gardens enjoying all the flowers around us and watching the buzzards overhead. I would fully recommend this cottage to anybody and I’ve already introduced It to some of our friends who will be contacting Robert and Kaye about stays there. Lots of great walks our dog thoroughly enjoyed his self.

Lovely house in a great location

We loved St Crys! The owner was friendly and on hand if needed and the house itself is lovely, spacious and walking distance to the pub and local beaches. We took our dogs and the only downside for us was that the garden is beautiful but it is not secure so we had to keep the dogs on leads out there. Overall would definitely recommend this property!

Wish we were there now!

Party of 4 (plus kindly accepted dogs), handsomely accommodated. We've stayed on the Lands End peninsula for years, but never at Treen, and what a delight we've missed! The house is everything we needed; clean, spacious, fresh, well-equipped. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The garden was a delight, perfect for dogs and humans. The Logan Rock pub in Treen came up trumps on the occasions that we wanted to dine out, and Treen Farm is the source of delicious Guernsey milk for breakfast. Although on our todo list, we regrettably failed to sample tea & cake at the cafe, will do better next time. Our family have agreed that this is a must-rebook cottage.

Comfortable house in a great location

We loved St Cyrs House. It was really comfortable and the photos don't do justice to the gorgeous gardens and surroundings. The location was perfect for us - easy access to the beach and coastal path - it was nice not to have to drive everywhere. I had been worried about the closeness to the road but we were not disturbed by the traffic at all. The owners Robert and Kay were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely come back.

Fabulous house and garden

We enjoyed a fabulous week staying at St Cyrs. The house is spacious, immaculately clean, and comfortable. We found it a bonus to have the bay window at the front, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the beautiful garden until nightfall. With the warm and sunny weather during our stay, breakfast on the sunny patio, while looking out across that extensive, landscaped garden, was always a good start to the day. The views from the house and garden are outstanding. From the back of the house, you have direct access to the Penberth valley, and there is a pleasant walk across the fields from there too. Located down a driveway with private parking, the house is set back far enough from the B3315 to protect it from traffic noise. Local villages and the A30 are easily accessible by car though. It's just a short walk of around 10 minutes through Treen village to the coastal path, and from there you are within reach of the many nearby attractions on this stretch of coastline, such as Logan Rock, Pedn Vounder, Porthcurno, the Minack Theatre, Porthchapel and Porthgwarra. After our long journey to the south-west, we particularly appreciated being able to visit all of these places on foot. Thanks to Robert and Katherine for popping round to make us feel welcome during our stay. We were delighted to be back in west Cornwall this summer, and staying at St Cyrs helped make it a memorable week.

Stunning gardens, location, house, owners! Everything was perfect and just amazing

We have loved every minute staying here, the house is fantastic and gives you everything you need and more but for us the gardens are the best part, they are beautiful. The location for us was perfect, coast path one way, woodland the other! Robert & Kay are lovely and really helped make our week even more special. Our 13 & 10 year old loved it here too as did our dogs! We will be back again 😀 Thank you

This house is very nice and allowed us(4 adults and 3 children) to spend this first week of April in a very appreciable comfort . Good quality for the equipment very complete. The lounge is cosy. The garden was beautiful with all these massive flowers. We enjoyed the bow window overlooking the garden. Otherwise the location of that house is a real asset : a few minutes are enough to reach the coastal path and enjoy the view !

A wonderful rural retreat.

We have stayed in this property many times now and it has become our annual escape; somewhere to recharge our batteries. We stayed for three weeks in September and as usual were not disappointed (except when we had to leave!!) We are always greeted so very warmly by Robert and Kay who go out of their way to make our stay as perfect as possible and it is like seeing old friends. Robert's gifts of home grown vegetables though out our stay is always such a treat and very much appreciated. Nothing seems too much trouble. The house was beautifully clean with fresh flowers and and a tea tray laid out for our arrival. The valley location is stunning with views of the spectacular garden and across to rolling countryside from every window. We see lots of birds and wild life here and love watching the bird formations overhead and the array of stars visible due to such little light pollution. Despite the detached, rural setting it is only minutes by car to Sennen, Mousehole, Lands End, St Just, Penzance and the Minnack Theatre. This year we walked along the coastal path in glorious sun shine to an afternoon show at the Minnack. A wonderful performance of Frankenstein just yards from the waves! A day to remember. The local pub for decent pub meals, is just a couple of minutes walk away and full of character, Treen village is like stepping in to a 'Constable' painting and the nearest beach is probably the most beautiful we have found anywhere. We have also done lovely walks through woods and fields directly from the back of the house and love the stream-side walk to Penberth Cove ten minutes away from the house. Some family joined us for a few days this year also and they totally fell in love with the place and now understand why we keep returning. We had a lovely celebration meal at The Gurnards Head near Zennor and it was worth the slow winding drive back to St Cyrs in fog!! Thanks again Robert and Kay for sharing this lovely tranquil home- from- home with us and see you next year!

Another perfect stay

This was our second long weekend break at St Cyrs and once again was perfect. Lovely to be welcomed with fresh flowers and little essentials such as milk, tea and coffee all set out for us - as well as good wi-fi! Also great to return to a plentiful supply of firewood every night for a blazing log fire after a long day's walking. Next time we will take up Robert's kind offer of a lift to the coast path so that we can do the Zennor-St Ives walk - that's just all part of the service, apparently. A really relaxing time in a great house with owners on-hand but discreet - we definitely hope to be back later in the year. Highly recommended.

Perfect property and setting to explore the area

Lovely cottage with everything you would need for a self-catering stay. Wonderful views of the hills and a short drive to the sea. Short walk to the local pub and spectacular coastal path to Logan Rock. Handy for Penzance, St Ives and the beautiful local villages such as Lomorna and Mousehole. Beautifully laid out garden with space to sit out and eat or just relax. Log burner for chilly evenings and a very well-equipped kitchen/dining space. Property very clean throughout with owners next door if you have any queries. We certainly plan to return for another visit soon.

Great cottage

Had a great week. Charming cottage, good facilities. Beautiful location near stunning coastal walks and beaches. Nearby pub and cafe, providing bread, milk, eggs and beer. Would recommend cottage as is peaceful, with all you need, especially comfy beds for 6. Helpful and friendly owners . Will hopefully be booking again soon.
