Perfect little cottage

We stayed here over the August Bank Holiday (4 adults) and had a lovely time. The cottage was conveniently located in a side street in the centre of Windermere with plenty of free parking nearby. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need and nearby there were shops pubs and restaurants.

Perfect little cottage for a Lakes stay

What a wonderful holiday cottage! Perfectly located just a few minutes from Windermere station and the supermarket, with bus links to Ambleside, Bowness, Kendal, Grasmere and Keswick, this is a great place to stay for easy access to lots of beautiful locations and all that the local area has to offer. The cottage is very clean and well-equipped, with everything we needed and more. Lovely comfy beds in all three rooms, plenty of bedding and spares, heating, towels and so on. The kitchen is so well stocked with crockery, cutlery, drinkware and extra, plus there's a fridge freezer, huge oven/stove, dishwasher and big table for everyone to eat at. There's a washer drier in the shed and plenty of places to dry clothes. The hosts were very quick to respond and very friendly, and overall it was just the perfect experience! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Weekend away

Extremely clean and very well equipped. Highly recommend this property especially for a family group. The only problem is parking facilities especially on a busy weekend. Ideally located right in the centre of Windermere.

Extremely comfortable stay in lovely Santon Cottage

Lovely cottage in a great location with fabulous hosts. Cottage is spotless and so well looked after, really feels like home from home with everything you could possibly need. Warm and welcoming after days out walking. Beds so comfortable and lovely to relax in the front room in the evening. Children absolutely loved the basement room which is warm and nicely converted into a lovely twin room and both of the bedrooms upstairs are a great size for a cottage setting! Stone’s throw away from a lovely high street of nice bars, restaurants and shops. Couldn’t have asked for more for our long Easter weekend in the Lakes - thank you so much 🙏

Great little short break

Booked this cottage for a short weekend to go up Helvellyn. It was a lovely place to stay, really close to the train station and local shops and pubs but felt super private. And it was clean and cosy which we all needed after a hike! We're already planning to come again.

Fantistic, comfortable cottage in Windermere village

This is a fantastic cottage right in the heart of Windermere village and is a real "hidden gem" being so close to the amenities yet in a quiet lane away from the main roads. It is a real “home from home” and we had a lovely stay there. We highly recommend it and hope to return - next time we will leave the car behind as the train station is 2 mins walk away and the public transport system is excellent.

Our best family break…ever

Long weekend of fell walking, exploring Windermere and Bowness, and birthday celebrations. I’m lost for superlatives for this accommodation - it suited our little group of adults twenties and teens perfectly. Wonderful hosts! Thank you so much!!

Cycling weekend

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Right in the centre of Windermere so everything you need is right on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy and has all the facilities you could need. The only drawback is the nightmare that is parking. Not the owners fault at all but had to park a good 15 minute walk away after we had unloaded everything. The car was fine but it made me twitchy wondering if it was secure. The weather was torrential but we still had fun on the bikes and enjoyed our weekend.

A lovely 3 story cottage I'm the heart of Windermere. Lovely beds, bathrooms, kitchen and living room tucked away but within east reach of pubs and restaurants. 3 friends visiting for the Fred Whitton. Would definitely book with my family.

Fantastic place to stay!

This is a truly amazing place to stay. The lake district is wonderful anyway but being in this cottage made it even better. It has everything you will need and loads to do right on the doorstep.
