Trudie was a very welcoming and friendly .
Will recommend to any one and come again.
This is a fabulous cottage, in a superb location Trudi was there to welcome us when we arrived, and the cottage had everything we needed. This was only a short break. But would have been very happy to stay for much longer. Excellent!!
Excellent stay , very friendly host, lovely welcome pack , clean and perfect location
It was my Husband’s birthday we were greeted with birthday bunting in the cottage a lovely touch .
The food at the Bull was outstanding and the pub across the road was very friendly.
The host was there to meet us , the cottage was decorated lovely and had everything you needed.
Would definitely recommend
Beautifully presented little house with everything you need for a weekend away treat. The host was very accessible and left a thoughtful welcome pack. Lots of beautiful places to visit within a short drive.
My daughter & partner stayed in this lovely cottage for 3 nights whilst visiting family locally they loved it. Great to walking, running, great roast at the The Bulls Head, wonderful lunch at Devonshire Pilsley & a good pint at The Lamb in the village. Lovely pack from Trudi too. Definitely a place to return too.
We really enjoyed the weekend break at this beautiful cottage. The space was incredibly clean and well organised with everything you would need on a mini break. On arrival we had a warm welcome and were made to feel very special and look after. The local pub across the road was cute and had very friendly locals to chat with, the gastro pub (more like a fine dining experience) just 2mins walk away is worth the trip up on it’s on, the food was spectacular. The location gave us a great base to explore the Peak District and we will be back.
Lovely little property which is perfectly placed for walking, cycling, visiting towns and villages or just staying in and relaxing. Welcome basket on arrival was a really nice touch. The property was spotlessly clean and the owner obviously goes to great lengths to ensure the guests are made to feel welcome. Overall, we had a great time and can highly recommend staying here.
This was the perfect little cottage in a lovely quiet village. We wanted to spend NYE being quiet and lazy away from our busy life. This was exactly what the doctor ordered. Thankyou to Trudie for having this lovely cottage available for us. Happy New Year x
Lovely cottage , decorated in a vintage style . Trudie was lovely, left us a welcome basket which was very nice. We would definitely stay again , the location was very nice and The Bulls Head was a smashing place to eat. Overall a great stay.
Easy check in and out location excellent across road to friendly village pub ( cash only ) very short stroll to bistro pub excellent breakfast easy access to Chesterfield and Bakewell 2 places we wanted to visit .Cottage supplied with games and books and nice welcome pack .only 1 downside for us shower very small doorway unable to access as we're over size 16 only there 2 days so not really problem but would of been for longer but would certainly recommend this property and would go back ( if I slim down lol ) but definitely will visit area again
Small cottage in good location for two people who wish to visit the Peak District in Derbyshire. Not luxurious but with adequate provision for a comfortable stay.
No off road parking available.
Good pub restaurant available within 100 metres.
The cottage had everything you need for a great break away and was close to some very good walks and all of the major attractions the Peak District has to offer.
No problem parking your car right outside of the property and two good pubs in the village. Would definitely stay again in the future.
The property was exactly as described in the ‘brochure’. Holymoorside is quite a large village on the outskirts of Chesterfield but still had a very rural feel. The cottage was beautifully clean and very tastefully decorated. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The kitchen had everything you needed to self cater but the proximity to Chesterfield meant that a takeway delivery was possible too. Communication with the owner was swift and very simple as was the arrival. She was on hand if we needed anything but not intrusive if all was good. Will certainly return.
A good location not far from Chesterfield on the one side and the amazing Peaks on the other. Trudie provided a basket of essentials on arrival which was much appreciated and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Ideal for two for a few days away.
A great place for two and ideally located for exploring the Peak District. Trudie made us feel very welcome. Only wish we could have stayed longer...

Weekend break
Pleasant weekend stay close to our destination, Chatsworth House. Nice food and atmosphere at local pub Bulls Head, also supermarkets, take aways 5mins drive away.
Property comfortable and lovely presentation. Shower a bit powerless, temperature tricky.
Lovely welcome basket.
No safe parking outside the property, we parked on main road about 1 min walk from the cottage.
We had a really lovely stay in this small clean cottage in Holymoorside. There are two pubs nearby for a meal or drink. We played golf nearby at Chesterfield golf club. Sadly had to leave early due to family problems but would definitely stay again
