Lovely apartment in a historic building with great access to coastpath walks

Recently stayed in this apartment over Christmas and New Year. Its in a lovely location - quiet enough for some good downtime, yet close enough to Penzance and Falmouth for shopping. There is a 10 minute walk through the grounds and adjoining field to the coast path and a great location for walks and fresh air. Would happily stay there again.

Amazing views, a very special place to stay

The location is idealic, with the most fantastic view of the coast and St Michael's Mount. On arrival we enjoyed our free bottle of wine looking out over the ocean with the sun setting after a long day of beautiful weather. It's a short steep walk down to the local cove, with lots of great hiking nearby. The single-lane access road is narrow and long, and as in many places of this kind the beds could be larger: but we had a highly memorable time.

Stunning location but property in desperate need of updating

You could not find a more beautiful location in which to stay, but the property itself is very dated. It could be stunning if some money was spent on it. It wasn’t very clean ( especially the kitchen - drawers, equipment etc), the main bathroom only had a hand held shower and no shower curtain, no bath mat ( we had to use a tea towel to stand on), no hand towels. It would probably be better for two adults and two children rather than four adults.

Beautiful location and amazing views. Access to nearby walks and coves, including Prussia Cove.

This is a wonderful location to stay in and the Castle Garden Apartment provides amazing views out to sea and St Michaels Mount. Its so peaceful and although remote you can travel to nearby Towns, beaches, restaurants, etc by car. For this reason I would definitely recommend this location as a place to stay. However there were a few issues with the property itself and Cornish Sea View Cottages hopefully will look to resolve some of the issues I will mention. The property was not very clean and there were wet towels left in the washing machine. There was a cot in the wardrobe that smelt of urine and so we moved it into a cupboard for our stay and sprayed the wardrobe. There was no cleaning products as I was informed there would be in an email to settle us in nicely. We found we had to go straight to the shops to buy these essentials and then do a spot of cleaning. We also had to contact the Housekeeper on arrival due to these issues. She did come in the next 30 mins and work towards resolving which was helpful. I had to also report one on the paving stones which was loose and could have led to an accident on the stairs leading to the front entrance. Somebody did come and repair this during the week. Despite these issues we had a lovely holiday in an amazing location. We would just recommend that the apartment receives some much needed care and attention to detail which is lacking. For example the guidebooks been out of date and falling apart. Empty boxes left in the freezer from other visitors. The first aid boxes have empty packages and have not been re-stocked.

No better views

The most stunning and peaceful location, close to the coast path and overlooking the magnificent Mounts Bay. The apartment is roomy enough for four people and is well stocked though some of the fittings are in need of repair.

Cosy, characterful & spectacular view

On arrival, we wondered if the apartment could possibly be as good as the view. It was. Kitchen was well-equipped, well laid-out, and big enough to allow two people to cook. Bedroom was quiet and comfortable. Sitting room lovely and spacious, with two magnificent big sofas. The property has quirky architectural charm in spadefuls, but it also feels welcoming. Direct access to coast path and plenty of superb coastal paths within easy reach.
