We had a lovely 4 night stay at the bungalow in August. We had everything we needed for the 4 of us (my 3 daughters and me). The beds were extremely comfortable and the bungalow is situated in a very quiet area so we slept very well after long days exploring the island.
We walked down to East Cowes town one morning and along the prom before making the hilly walk back to the bungalow. The bungalow is very well equipped and located so as to be not too far from attractions on the island. We visited the Donkey Sanctuary, Ryde, Sandown, The Wight Proms, Ventnor Illuminated procession, Newport and the Garlic Festival during our stay.
Our third stay at the property for IOW festival. We love this place as it’s so well equipped, clean, quiet and perfectly located for Cowes. Thank you again for a great stay :)
Lovely bungalow. Great position in West Cowes near shops and bus routes. Watch out for fairly narrow driveway to parking spaces. My MG HS just squeezed in. You will need to take loo rolls, and any required cleaning cloths.
Great little house just what we needed comfy beds too, only thing I found hard was the two locks bit stiff on front door other then that perfect thanks
Lovely place to stay, a bit hard to locate the house as it’s tucks in a narrow alleyway. Which was very difficult to drive through. I drive a 4x4 Range Rover. Had to find alternative parking to avoid my car getting scratched.
Very clean, like from home to home.
I would not stay again because of the alleyway. If you a small car shouldn’t be a problem for you. Finding alternatives parking wasn’t always available
The property was just perfect for us, tucked away but very closed to the main shops and restaurants. The bungalow was compact but full of anything you could need. The property was very clean and comfortable. Even with a map and sat nav we missed the entrance the road sign is obsured but once you know you know. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
This was our second stay at the bungalow for the IOW festival and we have already booked again for next year. Property is just a short stroll from Cowes, and easily accessible for travelling around the island. Such a peaceful place to stay, very clean and everything we needed for a great break - communication and directions from the owner were great - thank you, we look forward to returning next year!
Great location for us, easy walk into Cowes.
Slightly disappointed with cleanliness of bungalow, the floors were gritty throughout, particularly in the bedrooms, they did not appear to have been swept or hovered, in fact the vacuum cleaner was so clogged up it would not pick anything up until we cleaned it out. Needed to sweep through and Hoover on arrival.
As mentioned in a previous review, the badly stained settee in living room, should already have been cleaned or replaced, really lets the place down.
This was a really clean place spotless which was impressive.
It had everything you wanted, beds were comfy too could do with a more comfy sofa though. Shower was lovely as well.
Really impressed with the whole place.
This property was perfectly placed for my daughters work experience at UKSA, 5 minute walk door to door! Very clean and really well equipped bungalow, everything that you could need. Beautifully presented on arrival with good quality bedding and unexpected towels and games. Will try to use again if we stay in Cowes.
The bungalow was extremely clean, and well equipped for a really comfortable stay - very conveniently located for Cowes. Such a peaceful and relaxing place to stay during festival weekend. Simple booking process with timely and clear instructions from the owner. Would highly recommend and hope to return again.
The bungalow was clean and modern. The shower was good and the beds were comfortable. It was a pleasant place for our stay and easy enough to drive to various locations on the island. The only downside was the rough narrow lane and the slightly awkward parking. Very glad we only had one car and not two. On first arrival we attempted to park in the gravel in front of the house and found this was not easy to drive out of - the gravel was deep and the edging was raised above the level of the lane. The rest of our stay we parked next to the house in front of the shed. Not sure how a second car would have easily parked.

Bungalow in Cowes
The property is situated along an unadopted narrow track in a quiet part of Cowes. Although relatively clean, some of the furnishing were shabby and need replacing. There was only one toilet roll and we could not find any instructions in using the central heating when the temperature dropped in the evenings. Otherwise, it is a comfortable bungalow with a secluded garden, accessible from the kitchen. The two bedrooms were both clean with good sized modern wardrobes. The TV remote also needs looking at, as it did not seem keen to switch the TV on, sometimes taking a little persuasion to do so.
We had a lovely stay, the property was nice and was ideally situated for visiting everywhere we wanted to and was a quiet retreat to relax in at the end of a full day of exploring.
We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, quiet and very well equipped house. The bedrooms are a great size, very comfortable and all nicely furnished. The house is ideal for four, possibly a bit of a squeeze in the living areas for five adults/ older children, but perfect if using mainly as a base as we were. We really enjoyed the garden too. We were lucky to have good weather and the garden really is a sun trap, a good size, and table is great addition. Location very convenient too. Would recommend highly.
The bungalow has been renovated to a very high standard, with all the facilities in excellent working order and a great deal of care and attention given to providing everything you need for a holiday rental. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived and was a joy to stay in. We've rented maybe 20 or more holiday properties over the years and this is right up there as one of the best. Great job!!

My wife and I live in a little village called wingrave. We have four children, 13 , 11 , 22months and 4 months old. We love the Isle of Wight and have been coming here for years. My wife was born here and she has her family living on the island.
Why they chose this property
We brought a property here because this where our family is and wanted a comfortable home from home when visiting family and friends
