The barn comes equipped with Wi-Fi, freeview, TV & DVD player, washer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer compartment and microwave. Enclosed private cornish stone and gravel patio area. Family short break for our Daughters birthday

Very warm & cosy. Relaxing surroundings. Everything we needed for our stay. Conformable and very clean. Highly recommend. Would easily book another trip here. The owners were very welcoming & friendly. Thankyou very much.

Beautiful well equipped house

The standard of all the fittings fixtures and equipment was of a very high standard. The beds were very comfortable and the en-suites excellent….. lovely to have two. The hosts were most welcoming and very helpful. All in all I would highly recommend this property .

A lovely home rather than a holiday rental.

Mulberry Cottage is a lovely, tastefully decorated cottage. The double bed is very comfortable, the single beds and the sofa less so. We were welcomed with a delicious cream tea. However, before getting out of the car we were warned again about getting the kitchen worktops wet or putting anything hot on them as they are solid wood. We were also told not to try to turn our car round on the driveaway but to reverse out onto the single lane winding road. Inside there were warnings about the toilets (understandable), the extractor fan, about damaging the controls on the grill, etc, etc. There was no warning, however, about the shower becoming scalding hot if another tap is turned on in the property. As the rainfall shower cubicle is small and the curved door partly faces the wall it is very difficult to move or get out quickly so it is dangerous when the temperature increases suddenly. Also, the heated towel rail is next to the w.c. and opposite the sink in a very narrow room. If it was hot it would be almost impossible to avoid burning your legs. Richard and Jo are nice people but we wanted a relaxing holiday and we found we were constantly worrying about getting water on the worktop, particularly as the drainer is also made of wood with instructions not to leave wet items on it! The cottage is ideal for someone as a beautiful home and ideal if decor is all important to you, but not practical for a stream of short stay holidaymakers like us who want to relax.

Perfect base for exploring cornwall

The property was as described and suited our young family perfectly for visiting both the North and South coasts. Jo and Richard were amazing hosts and the property had everything needed for our stay in a stunning rural location. We’ll definitely be back.

Mulberry Cottage realy has the WOW factor, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay and so peaceful. Beautiful cottage situated in Liskeard. We had a lovely stay. Cottage was immaculate.

We were welcomed on arrival and given all the information we needed for our stay. From booking to leaving I could not fault the experience at all and would recommend this cottage for others to book. We willbe back one day.

Wonderful Stay

A beautiful cottage in a stunning rural location. A lovely warm welcome awaited us and a delicious cream tea. Jo and Richard are friendly and welcoming and always on hand if you needed anything. Although you're in the middle of nowhere, which is so peaceful and quiet, everywhere was in easy reach by car or train. We explored a lot of Cornwall, so it was a great place in which to be. If we have one negative, it was that the bed was a bid hard for us, but that's just personal preference. Would recommend Mulberry Cottage to anyone.

Amazing week

For our first time staying in a cottage and not camping in over 10 years I am very glad that I chose this property! Jo and Richard are amazing hosts, the property is spotlessly clean and to all of the necessities are to the highest standard. Fresh scones are waiting for you on arrival and all essentials are provided. Kitchen utensils are to a very high standard (which is amazing when there’s two chefs staying!) With this property you do not need to bring anything other than yourself, your clothes and your toiletries. I will definitely be staying at this property next time I visit Cornwall with my family. Thank you for an amazing week!

Very friendly & welcoming hosts

Lovely cottage in remote location. Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of wildlife and bird feeders right outside kitchen/lounge windows which attracted lots of different birds. Lovely friendly welcoming hosts, Jo and Richard. The cottage is Immaculately clean. Comfortable bed and extremely comfy pillows. Dishwasher was very useful and there are adequate pots, pans and crockery. There is also also a washing machine/dryer (which I didn’t use) A washing line with pegs is also available to use. We were welcomed with a cream tea which was lovely. Thank you Jo and Richard for having us. ,

Perfect Little Gem

We really cannot praise this property enough. The barn has been converted to an exceptionally high standard and has all the comforts to make the stay unforgettable. From arriving Jo and Richard made our family so welcome, and yes, we loved the scones with jam and cream! The cottage is located in a fantastic location to explore Cornwall, and the wonderful Fowey and Looe are just a short drive away. I would recommend a stay here to everyone, as it really is absolutely perfect in every way. Once more thank you Jo and Richard for our fantastic accommodation.

Peace and quiet

Amidst the Covid crisis an ideal place for us to get away from it all. Mulberry Cottage was all it promised in the listing and more. Jo and Richard were delightful hosts, explained everything left us to eat the scones cream and jam they had provided for our arrival. I will highly recommend this for a quiet relaxing stay.

Our time at Mulberry Cottage, Herodsfoot, Cornwall.

We spent a very happy six days here. We were met by the property owners Richard and Jo on our arrival. We were made to feel welcome immediately and Jo gave us clear advice on how things worked within the property. We could find no fault in the cleanliness and the amenities. Washing machine and dishwasher were a great help. Plenty of kitchen utensils,plates, bowls etc. Nice patio area with table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Half an lhour walk into the tiny village of Herodsfoot and good range of places to visit by car. We thoroughly recommend this property if you enjoy comfort and pleasant surroundings in the Cornish countryside. We were sad to leave. Jo and Richard were so friendly and helpful and I’m sure if you had a problem at 3a.m. they would come to your aid. Almost forgot to mention Jo had baked us scones for a Cornish cream tea to enjoy on our arrival. 5 stars well deserved. Thank you Jo & Richard, Michael & Helen

Mulberry cottage
