A lovely Christmas break away

We had a very enjoyable, relaxing week's stay over Christmas.The lodge was very comfortable, clean & cosy & decorated for the occasion with a Christmas tree to put our few presents under. We loved the location.Thank you to the owners

Long weekend

Excellent property for our long weekend stay. Exactly as per the listing, had everything we needed. All clean and tidy. Restaurant / bar walkable within 1.5 miles. Excellent walks available from the peppery so didn't need to use our car at all. Will be booking again for next year.

Best place; best location (don't tell anyone)

Very comfortable, well appointed, excellent view and access to Bassenthwaite Lake for private and beautiful water sports (paddle, swimming). We love it.

Excellent Place

The lodge was in an excellent location and probably had the best setting on the park, with amazing views. It is a very spacious and well kept lodge and we felt very much at home and comfortable. It was a perfect place to stay for a holiday in the Lakes.

Really nice location

Great stay. Liked the location really. Couple of things to mention - the toilet flush didn’t work very well and it was a bit annoying that we had to flush multiple times. The WiFi is very poor and obviously my teenage daughter wasn’t impressed!

Excellent Lodge

The lodge was exactly as described and in an amazing location for exploring further afield. It had everything we needed and more. Beds were very comfortable and we liked the fact that there were blinds in the bedroom as well as curtains which kept out the very early morning sun. We had a great week walking and visiting local villages. The Sun Inn was within walking distance so we visited there a few times.

Great location - wonderful views

What a beautiful place for a lodge - lovely views - lovely peaceful surroundings Lodge has everything you could need and more - beds were super comfortable and shower was great Decking was fab to sit out on and enjoy the views with a glass of wine - would definitely recommend and be returning. Lovely relaxing holiday - hubby and dogs very much enjoyed the lake.

Great Retreat, Car Required

The property itself has a very homely feel about it, it has everything that you need for your stay, there is even an on-site, laundry room, the lodge is very well equipped right down to the air fryer. It’s roughly a 15 to 20 minutes drive to either Cockermouth or Keswick for all your shopping needs, with a great selection of places to eat and drink. Stayed for 14 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lovely lodge with amazing view

We had a lovely stay in this wonderful lodge overlooking Bassenthwaite lake. The lodge was immaculate and very well appointed and very spacious. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed amazing views over the lake from the terrace. Fantastic site which was lovely and peaceful with bird song. Perfectly located for exploring and close to Keswick. Great food in the local Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite village. Brilliant stay and definitely will return to this lovely place.

Lakeside Lodge

The lodge is perfectly situated on the site to make the most of that sensational view. It is modern and finished really well with a lovely interior. We had a fantastic three night stay and were very comfortable here… highly reccommend👌

Its a really lovely homily lodge. That has everything you need for a perfect holiday. We stayed here last year and loved it so we knew what to expect and we weren't disappointed. Even if the weather wasnt as good 😂😂. Thanks to Christopher and Bridget once again for the lovely hamper on arrival xx

Easter break at Bassenthwaite

Fabulous property, beautifully presented as per photos on lovely quiet site with view of lake. Property furnished with everyday essentials to ease your vacation. A great location to explore north lakes and just a 10 minute drive into Keswick.

Wonderful lodge in the North Lakes.

Cosy, clean and comfortable lodge right on Lake Bassenthwaite in the North Lakes. Amazing views of snow topped fells changing colours over the day. Dog loved being so close to the water. Wonderful long weekend.
