Great stay, well priced for overall stay and location with beach just a few minutes stroll. Lovely little cottage, clean and bed was very comfortable. Brought dogs and well fenced off yard to the rear, perfect for them. Some of the reviews said it was too dated, I don't think so, it was after all a quaint little cottage, there were 3 of us, but can take 4, will be booking again
The property is dirty and unkempt. The photographs are extremely old and are not in any way a reglextion of the property. The host clearly doesnt care as the property is still in poor condition after all the bad reviews.
Thr only good thing is that its in Rhosneigr.
The owner told me they haven't got the money to do it up but poor decor and damaged, mismatched furniture could be over looked a little if it was clean, which only costs a bit of hard work.
Safe yourself money, time and stress and stear clear of this property.

What could have been a lovely holiday in a beautiful village was spoiled by the accommodations. The photos of this cottage are not accurate. The wall at the front has been removed. There are weeds and ivy growing up the walls of the cottage. The front door frame is rotten and only secured with a Yale lock. The mortise lock is not functional. Inside the decor is shabby and the furniture is mismatched and very uncomfortable. There are pest control plugins which are for mice. We found mouse droppings in one of the cupboards. The hot water and heating systems are poor. The back garden is overgrown with weeds and the wet room at the back not fit for purpose. All in all this property is very bad. We stuck it out as long as we could but had to come home a day early. It was lovely to get home and sit in my comfy chair and get a good nights sleep in a decent bed.

Very out dated and concerning
Photos of property did not match up with reality. Very dated, dilapidated property.
Hot water in the kitchen only works if you run the water in the bathroom.
Wallpaper peeling off in both bedrooms.
Front door& frame rotten.
… you want a hot shower after your walk or sea swim, forget it— the water won't heat up properly. If you're hoping to relax on the sofa, be warned: the seat cushions are rock-hard, uncomfortable, and the seats and arm rests are dirty under the covers. The dining table is so wobbly that drinks spill over when you try cut your food, and the bed creaks loudly with every move, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep.
We chose this cottage because we love sea swimming and wood fires and stayed in many great location in Rhosneigr before, but we ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't shower or use the fireplace. The owner was unresponsive to any Vrbo emails and only returned our call after we contacted Vrbo directly.
She admitted she hasn't visited the cottage in over six months, which explains why all the low reviews are spot-on. Trust the reviews although this looks lovely on the photo it hides everything that is broken :( it’s a real shame as it could be a gem.
The place couldn't even meet the basic requirement of a hot shower and requested a one-day refund. I doubt we will get it… Vrbo told us that it is in the host discretion to refund but seemed uninterested in running this as a welcoming space.
If you want a place with a central location and kitchen amenities which were good but don’t care about comfort or cleanliness, this might work for you. But if you're looking for relaxation and comfort, STAY AWAY put your money elsewhere. Good luck x
Can't say a bad thing about this place. Small, cosy, fully equipped, ideal for watersport and walking enthusiasts. Not the most modern fully pristine of places, but everything works and it's perfectly placed. One tip though, if you fancy eating out in Rhosneigr, be prepared to book in advance and take a full wallet.

Very poor property, needs refurbishment
Very run down, needs complete refurbishment, bedroom carpets disgusting, badly stained sofa in lounge, kitchen unit doors hanging off, plinth in kitchen off and lying on back of conservatory sofa, table and dining chairs very wobbly, garden had been strimmed but still in a bad state, garden furniture unsafe to use and rotting, back gate does not lock or bolt which made it unsecure for our 2 cockapoos. Property needs complete redecoration, new carpets and furniture. I was concerned about electric bug repellents in lounge, kitchen and conservatory. We left early because of the state of this property. Such a shame as village and location are excellent
Very well placed. Clean, needs a bit of tlc but otherwise very good

Property needs serious TLC
Having stayed in rhosneigr in various rentals for the last 15 years, this was the most disappointing of experiences.
The frontage of the cottage is not like th photo. There is no wall but scruffy area covered jn weeds and bins. The garden is over run with weeds and the garden furniture dirty and moss covered. The outdoor shower room has mould and was full of spiders. The kitchen is falling apart and has damp on the ceiling. As per previous reviews, the kitchen unit kick board is still dumped in the back of the sofa. It’s disappointing that the owners have not taken the time or care for th most basic of repairs. The bedroom carpets are stained. The cushions on the bed were stained. The damp and mould are a potential health hazard. We rent out a small property and would be embarrassed to charge for something in this state
Lovely stay as usual, think this is our 4th time here and we love it. Our dogs love the cottage (but love the beach more!!) and we feel the same. Looking forward to coming back next year!
Cozy cottage in the heart of Rhosneigr. As other people have mentioned the property is a bit dated but with that expectation in mind it couldn't have been better. Great price too.
Like previous reviewers we felt the place needs of a bit of TLC but don’t let that put you off. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed and the location means you forgive its shortcomings as it couldn’t be better placed. Two minutes walk to the beach, bars and shops. We stayed for 4 days, the sun shone every day and we had a great time. We found Rhosneigr to be a very friendly place and will definitely return.
Beautiful location, cottage needs maintenance, but that doesn’t really impact, the total neglect of the garden, tall weeds all over, brambles sticking out , dirty, garden furniture really does - such a shame. The kitchen, log burner, hot water is great, interior soft lounge furnishings and carpets need replacing. This could be a fantastic holiday cottage, just a little tlc for the cottage and the customers required.

Good/bad
Great location and loved having an outside wet room for the dogs. Clean kitchen and bathroom. Really comfortable beds. On the negative side there was a big airing cupboard with hand towels so I don’t understand why bath towels couldn’t be provided. Lack of sockets so several extension leads dotted about. Carpets dirty and stained. Garden/yard needed attention and unusable for sitting out. Photos on website obviously taken a long time ago. However despite the negatives we really enjoyed our stay.
A small cottage in a very quiet and great location. The inside was clean and cozy.
The kirb appeal was old and dated. This cottage could be a little gem if it was made more presentable on the outside. The rear garden needs some work . The rear garden wet room was great. For a small cost, this would be a super holiday let.

Excellent location but property needs attention
Beautiful area but the property needs a lot of TLC.
Second time staying here, everything you need and 2 mins from beach, shops, bars, food. No frills but great if you have a dog. Will be back again soon! :)

Glen cottage
Even though some of the things fell short of expectations we still had a lovely time. The photo above is an old one - no pretty white wall- just a bit of rough ground with bins. Communication and key collection not a problem. Was advised to park at 2nd garage. Not made "exactly" clear- but there were people at first garage to advise. Was told off by quite an irate lady that the garages were hers and told to park in front of cottage later in the week. The cottage was comfortable but not "spotlessly" clean. All the interior is in need of decoration/tlc/replacing/repairing. Saying that it is all cosmetic it does not affect the stay - it's just a little sad that it doesn't look - 'loved'. The location cannot be faulted in anyway- that is perfection. The kitchen and bathroom are new. (Fridge is obviously a replacement- would have been fitted previously) the kicking board is resting on the conservatory sofa back! The provision of an outdoor shower is genius. It was perfect for washing off wetsuits. (No instructions on where the switches were-in store room next door) The main and major drawback is the hot water system- no problem with temperature - perfectly good hot water! But to work in kitchen had to run bathroom tap first- then the pump kicks in- it's is deafening- there's low flying jets from RAF Valley and the pump is louder. It stops after the tap is switched off. There is a nice outdoor space with some furniture (mainly dirty white chairs). Don't be put off its still lovely
We hade a great stay, a nice getaway for the weekend to spend time as a family. Great location and a lovely home away from home. Walking distance to the beach and great restaurants. We would come again.
