You couldn’t wish for more! The cottage and location was perfect in every way and Andrew and Fiona were wonderful hosts. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends
What a wonderful location, and such a well-presented property with the owners across the lane should any advice be needed. The cottage had everything we wanted, very well equipped, with bedroom and bathroom upstairs and one downstairs and a surprisingly generous garden in which to relax as well. A great place to stop for a few days peace and quiet, thank you for letting us share your space.
The cottage is lovely with beautiful garden and surroundings. The hosts are very friendly and have put a lot of thought into making the cottage clean, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. It is so peaceful with beautiful scenery and lovely countryside.
There is a small but adequate open plan kitchen with dishwasher and small sitting room with 2 larger bedrooms. Bathroom with bath on the ground floor and the twin bedroom on the first floor has ensuite shower room.
Outside is a beautiful garden with lots of plants, shrubs and trees with a terrace with table and seats. The shed has
washing machine and a tumble dryer with clothes airer for outside if nice weather. Also charging point for electric vehicles. Would love to stay there again as so nice.
We had a great weekend, the cottage was ideal for us, as away for a family wedding at Barnutopia.
It is equipped with everything you need, and the owner lives next door, if there is anything else you require.
The views were breathtaking, but the roads are not for the faint hearted!!
Recently stayed here for 5 days with family and our sausage dog. House is clean and well thought of.
Situated in a quiet place, easy to relax after our sightseeing and days out.
Hosts are approachable and friendly.
Glad I chose this cottage.
From clear instructions on how to travel our visit was very enjoyable. Friendly informative owners. A nice welcome pack - milk, bara brith, and a large bottle of cold water in the fridge was most welcome on such hot day! Everything needed for an enjoyable a lovely stay, well equipped and comfy beds. Fresh flowers - such a nice touch.. The garden was a pleasure with the lovely planting and various areas to sit. Great views, quiet, except for birdsong ;-). The cottage is well situated to visit lots of places. We went to Lake Vyrnwy and Bala, where we ate fish and chips by the lake. Also Chirk Castle with the lovely gardens is worth a visit. We would love to return and would highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay the cottage was well equipped and spotless with great views and well located to visit some of the nearby attractions we really liked the town of Oswestry which is close by. We would recommend this property.
On arrival the cottage and grounds looked lovely and this conitnued inside with it being clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Had a wonderful 3 nights stay in a tranquil setting.
Would go back again.
As described a quiet relaxing getaway, all we could hear were birds and sheep. Everything very well thought out, nothing missing in this cosy property. Owners very friendly and there if needed.
A great few days in this beautiful cosy cottage which had everything our family of 4 (plus dog!) needed. Andrew and his wife were great hosts. We would come back in a heartbeat
We had the most wonderful weeks stay at the cottage, Andrew made us feel very welcome, the cottage is more than well equipped and is very cosy and comfortable. The setting is quiet and peaceful with easy access to major routes for our intended destinations. Surrounded by lovely views and waking to the sounds of sheep/lambs and bird song made our week very relaxing and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Beautiful, cosy cottage in the most stunning location. Quiet and peaceful with friendly and welcoming hosts. Lovely walks from the door and a great base to explore from!
A real get away from it all, beautiful surroundings and everything you need at the property, very comfortable beds and pillows (and I’m very fussy) appreciated the welcome pack thank you
We have just had a truly enjoyable stay in Pentre Barn Annexe and we wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage is perfect and extremely well equipped. The weather wasn’t cold enough for us to use the log stove but I can imagine it would be very cosy on a chilly evening. We were able to eat outside under the glass roof a couple of times, which we hadn’t anticipated as the weather forecast wasn’t good before we left. The views are stunning, as is the surrounding countryside, and the garden surrounding the cottage is a delight. The quiet is noticeable and all we could hear was birdsong and sheep. Perfect! Our hosts were extremely pleasant and helpful, and they clearly do everything they can to maintain an eco-friendly property. We certainly hope to return for a longer stay next time. Thank you Fiona and Andrew.
The barn is absolutely idyllic. We heard one car all week - sitting in Andrew’s perfect gardens we can see and hear sheep, pigeons, rabbits and other wildlife. It’s so remote it’s tye perfect place to relax and explore. We visited 3 national trust properties, Shrewsbury, Corwen, Llangollen, Oswestry and Llansilin regularly for meals. We cannot recommend this holiday let enough. It was truly perfect
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the process from start to finishing mush was smooth and efficient. The cottage was spotless and the whole building up together with no shabby bits anywhere. The showers were strong and bathrooms immaculate. Kitchen well supplied - sensibly stocked , we had everything we needed including crockery for a small celebration we had with friends at the cottage. Linen and bedding spotless and super comfortable. I literally don’t have a bad thing to say about this sweet little gem in immaculate rolling hills! Thank you to our hosts - we will definitely be returning x
Lovely cosy cottage set in the most stunning Welsh countryside. Charming hosts, welcome pack, our Sheltie dog made very welcome. Perfect for getting away from it all.
This cottage is beautiful. The garden, the views are breath taking. It has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay.
The hosts are lovely and make you feel at home as soon as you arrive.
