Really enjoyed our stay at the property in Totnes. Location great and place feels homely. Extremely well kitted out and cooking easy as a result with a few sundries in cupboard. Decor is a little tired and a few things needed replacing (blind string fell apart from what looks like a previous repair). However had a genuinely great time and would recommend.
Totnes is a beautiful historic town, with a wealth of unique shops on the high street. The home is in easy level access reach to the town centre and river. Our host for the accommodation was wonderful and accommodating to our needs. Happily use this home again.
The property was really good. However the description gives the impression that the property has parking. It does not have parking, we had to park in a car park 10 mins walk away and wake up at 8 every morning to book parking for the day. If the property owner wants to claim the property has parking then he he should provide a parking permit.
This was a characterful cottage in an ideal location in the centre of town. Mostly the fittings etc were fine but some annoying missing items incl mop for kitchen floor, extracor in bathroom and details for recycling rubbish. The biggest drawback was parking - limited parking outside property and all 24 hour parking a walkaway at a daily charge.
The property was very well appointed. We thought a lot of thought had gone into the furnishings and equipment. It was very close to the town centre which was a very big advantage and overall we really enjoyed our stay.
Like Totnes, the feel of this cottage was a bit quirky owing to its French owner perhaps. Blissfully cool inside, top 20’s out, it had everything a holidaymaker required for a comfortable stay.
It’s position to the town and river is great with the only downside being the lack of a parking space/ permit.
The house was where and what we needed for a place to stay for a family wedding, if a bit dated. The standard of cleaning could be better; Indoors was ok, the outside needs jetwashing and tidying up. There was a plastic bag on the doorstep that had clearly been there for some time & the steps were slippery and potentially dangerous. Overall the place needed to be cleaned with more attention to detail. The radio needs a decent aerial so that it doesn't 'hiss' all the time regardless of retuning.
We had intended to go as a group but that fell apart due to illness, so only I can report.
The property is very well appointed, and in an excellent location for exploring Totnes and surrounds.
Highly recommended.
We had a great stay and loved the Cottage.
It was well equipped and warm and cosy
Thank you

Location and key code entry were ideal for our short stay.
Couldn’t find welcome pack or relevant containers for recycling, but left details for cleaner; also about what wasn’t working!
Very central location a stones throw from Totnes centre. Well appointed and comfortable property all amenities provided. Would highly recommend this property to potential visitors. (A tea tray would be a useful addition though !!)
Clean and comfortable cottage. Four of us stayed (two couples) and it was perfect for our long weekend. Conveniently located near the bottom end of Totnes high street.
Good communication with the host :-)
We found the cottage to be perfect for our needs and very clean and comfortable with everything we required being available the only slight downside is the parking but we were aware of this before we booked and it was found to be not a huge inconvenience the car park being very close by .It is hard to believe the cottage is so very near to the town centre as it is such a quiet and peaceful location. We would highly recommend this cottage and would book it again if we ever need to be in the area again
Very clean and well equipped cottage. Well located for town. No parking but can use Victoria car park round the corner-no charge between 18.30 and 08:00.
Cooker thermostat might need looking at - I burnt a cake! (Which I don’t normally do)

The property was clean and a good location
It was in a good location the parking was a nightmare and the car parks were expensive. The property was clean but the stairs were very steep they were no good for people with mobilty problems. The garden was not clean and it did not advertise how unsafe the adjoining garden was. I thought the garden was not dog friendly or child friendly due to how next doors garden was. Good location for shopping in Devon.
A super perfectly formed little cottage. We'd definitely book again. Very comfortable furniture with straighter back chairs and soft sofa to suit e everyone. It was really nice to see the Welcome Pack with milk etc for a cuppa after a long journey. Quite a few bits left by previous holidaymakers, such as oil, vinegar, etc, which helped. The back yard has a shared set of steps but 13A has its own table and chairs. We spent many uninterrupted hours out there. Its about 30 seconds from the short stay car park (Victoria), and about 5 mins up the hill to the long stay ones (Heath, Nursery, Heath Nursery). The RingGo parking system is fantastic.
We had a fantastic stay here .Fab location ,lots to see near by. House was cosy and had coffee, milk and water when arrived .Paid carpark around corner but no issues with that .Highly recommended would definitely stay here again .
From beginning to end this host was absolutely awful. I asked him for the full postcode before leaving, he responded by saying Ive already given it to you, which he had during an earlier email which Id missed, this was my first experience with this man with no manners.
On entering the property we were met with a damp musty smell. I can only presume the whole house had been 'cleaned' with the same cloth. We found the streak marks everywhere.
There were stains on the kitchen floor, the 'patio' was inaccessible and absolutely filthy, anybody with children could not let their children out there, we never even left our dog out there.
The mat in the kitchen was rotten. The bath mat was covered in mould.
I voiced my concerns to the 'man with no manners' who said we were the only ones who had ever complained, I don't believe this for a minute.
I said I could send photos if he gave me his email address - no response.
We were asked to leave the property at 10am. We were flustered when at 9.30 the house keeper knocked who was very rude and told us to leave, I explained we had another 30 mins.
My elderly mum fell down the stairs as another thing the 'man with no manners' won't tell you is that there isn't a hand rail right down the stairs, so if you're going with elderely or children be very careful.
After we left I received the most abusive email from the 'man with no manners' who accused us of all sorts of things, totally untrue and deducted £60 from our deposit.
Please don't book this cottage as you will be very dissapointed.
Cottage was spotlessly clean, with all essentials and more. House keeper very friendly and helpful. Great location, would recommend.

Why they chose this property
Totnes is a lovely town in Devon, offering alternative living and a peaceful way of life away from busy London. Ideal for long week ends and holidays in Devon.
What makes this property unique
Peaceful environment in a cottage giving you comfort and a quaint ambiance typical in a dwelling over 200 years old. 1 pet (dog small dog max. 10 kilograms but NO cat ) is allowed for an additional charge THE STAIRS leading to the upstairs bedrooms are some what steep and not suitable to mobility issues.
