We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous Horace Gifford house. Keri and Gary were a delight—super communicative and lovely. The house was clean and well-maintained and had everything we needed, including some fabulous pool floats. Thank you so much for a wonderful week!
A lovely house with bags of character, spacious for entertaining inside and out, with balconies on each corner, ocean views, a short walk from the harbour and yards from the beach, with a nice pool deck. A fab spot.
Keri and Gary were both amazing hosts, going above and beyond to help with our stay. We stayed for Labor Day weekend last summer and had a great time so we decided to reserve the same house again. Great hot tub and pool, modern bathrooms, renovated front lawn. It was just perfect, highly recommend!
Beautiful home with incredible history! Everything was really comfortable and just steps away from the beach. Kerri was great and easy to communicate with during our stay. This house has everything you need from kitchen supplies to beach chairs. Would absolutely stay in this home again!
We all loved the house! It's really well setup with the 3 pool side bedrooms and big open plan kitchen / lounge area. The pool was great and it's really close to the beach which made it easy for quick trips. Keri was very helpful throughout, helping us get setup for our group and answering any questions we had during the stay. We would love to stay again and definitely recommend to other visitors!
From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. This house is a little piece of Pines history with all the amenities you need. The layout is perfect and the original mid century decor and tiki style is atmospheric and distinctive without feeling dated. I don’t think the pictures do it justice. Being a short walk from the harbour yet pleasantly tucked away off the main drag right next to the beach, the location was the icing on the cake. Keri and Gary were responsive and ever on hand for any queries or minor issues we had.
This home is so beautiful (location, architecture, beach access) and Keri and Gary are truly wonderful. They were so helpful, kind, and available. I felt like a member of the family staying in their lovely home. We could not have asked for anything better. We hope to be back!

Unique, historic, updated home in the Pines with ocean views
We rented the house for the week of July 4th 2017. We are six friends who live all over the US and don’t get to see each other often. We loved the house, and it made our limited time together so much more memorable. Keri is easy to work with, and she’s accessible. The house is unique and historic with lots of well planned modern upgrades. The living area is on the second floor with huge sliding doors facing all directions. Great ocean views! The kitchen is new with high end appliances and finishes, but the renovations maintain the historic design of the house. All three bedrooms are on the first floor. The beds are comfy, and bedrooms all have huge sliding doors. There’s plenty of closet space. Both bathrooms are new with high end finishes, but the uniqueness of the house’s original design is maintained. The pool area is private and well maintained. Two minute walk to the beach down Coastguard or down the private boardwalk behind the house. The lot is huge and has too many custom outside features to list…a bamboo tiki gazebo, a large koi pond, bamboo front entrance gate and fence… It’s an amazing home that has deep roots in the history of the Pines. So happy that it’s being maintained for everyone to enjoy! We will be renting again! Thanks Keri!

About the host
Hosted by Keri Weinberg
The McGregor Family has owned this property in the Pines since the early 1960's. Father, Paul, was a famous hairdresser from the East Village. He and his wife Karol had 6 children and they together spent every summer in this wonderful place. Paul became a lifelong resident and spent winters in Brazil, Bali and South Florida. His creative and artistic ways influenced the decor of this unique house. Pieces of his artwork are on display throughout the home. This house is as unique as he was. Upon his passing in 2013, the family has spent time updating and renovating in hopes of sharing their home with others.
