Villa Lara is a delightful country house with a spacious garden built on various levels.
It has a charming and beautiful terrace equipped with outdoor chairs and tables perfect for enjoying the sunset and outside dinners.
In the summer months, the exclusive pool is open and the area is equipped with an outdoor shower and sunbeds.
Besides that, the property has a garden surrounded by trees and green plants with an outdoor barbecue, hammock, and flowers in the summer.
The pool is exclusively for the guests of Villa Lara and it is open from 1st June to 30. September and is properly maintained on a daily basis.
The backside of the house is currently unavailable for passage as the wall behind is under construction.
Villa Lara is perfect for visitors looking for both the privacy and tranquillity afforded by the cottage and garden and their spectacular mountain setting and the practicality of its location, just a 10-minute walk from the centre of the picturesque village of Miraflores de la Sierra.

Pasamos unos días fantásticos en familia. La casa es muy acogedora, tiene todo lo necesario para una estancia perfecta. Disfrutamos mucho del jardín y la piscina. Esperamos repetir!!

Great spot for cycling in the mountains

This is a great find. The perfect location for some wonderful cycling in the mountains north of Madrid, and excellent walking territory too. The house was perfect for our needs. Fully detached in a quiet neighbourhood and very comfortable. We'l perhaps come in early summer or autumn next time so we can enjoy the pool!

Nice cottage

Villa Lara is a nice little house in the upper part of the authentic and cosy town Miraflores de la Sierra. I is easy to go there by car from Madrid and car is definetely recommended if you come as a foreigner. We have been in the town for severel times for the last 10 years and every new time is an unique and surprising experience. Very much we appreciate hiking in the mountains of the surroundings og Miraflores and in the evening it is a habbit strolling around downtown seeking for the the best dining offer. From the site of the house you have a magnificient view to the south with Madrid just out on the horizon

Cosy atmosfere, wonderful setting

Cosy house and atmosfære, we spent a lovely Week on the spaceous sunny Terrace, even in october! Within 15 minutes drive to exellent and numerous climbing and hiking oportunities and only 10 minutes walk to the lovely city plaza and its many options for local dining or a coffee break in the sun. A perfekt combination for relaxing holidays.

Cosy house, wonderfull setting

Cosy house and atmosfere, neat and clean. We spent a lovely week on the spaceous sunny terrace - even in october! It has great views over the Madrid delta. Within 15 minutes drive from excelent and numerous rock climbing and hiking opportunities, within others we enjoyed very much trail hiking and svimming in the natural pools of "la pedriza" natural park. Only 10 minutes walk to the local plaza that offers local authentic dining or a coffee break in the sun! A very recommendable relaxing holiday!

Fairy tale hut for good value!

Me and my family had a great holiday at Villa Lara. The property is really charming and the location is just perfect 10 minutes from the nice town, Miraflores de la Sierra. Our stay was in winter time, but we had fantastic weather - up to 15 degrees. The hut has all facilities that you need. I definitely recommend this house for families and couple that are looking for something special and authentic for their holidays.

Lovely House

We are a family of 5. We stayed in Villa Lara in October. Lovely house, compact but with everything you need. Beautiful location in the mountains. Miraflores was quiet in the Autumn but I'm told lively in Summer. A car is definitely needed as the house is accessed via some very steep hills. Village has everything you need for groceries. Weather this time of year can be cold so bring warm clothes and be prepared for wet days as well as some lovely warm weather. We didn't get to swim as the weather was unsuitable but the pool looks great and it would be a lovely way to cool down in the Summer. There are lots of maps, brochures and guides in the house to help choose trips and activities. There is also a tourist office in the village. Madrid is about 45 mins by car. We avoided driving into the city by parking at a train station in the suburbs and taking a train. Would recommend Segovia for a day. Make sure to visit the castle and take the motor way! Otherwise the road is uphill and seriously twisty and windy. Also, the Bernabeu Stadium a big hit with kids. Lots of galleries to visit. There is free entrance on certain days. Sine, the owner, was great to deal with. Would definitely consider another holiday here again.

Casa ideal para relajarte y pasarla bien

Esta en un lugar muy tranquilo con mucha naturaleza. La piscina es ideal para relarte y pasarlo bien. La barbacoa es un punto extra. La casa en general muy limpia y comoda. Estubimos genial mi familia y yo. Y el precio muy bueno. Gracias por todo.

Quiet home closes to Madrid

Very nice home. Clean and well stocked. Madrid is about 45 minutes by car which is exactly what we wanted. In the mountains outside the city. Quiet neighborhood. Overall, a very nice experience.

La casa está bien. Pero en el exterior falta mobiliario ya que el que hay está bastante deteriorado. También falta iluminación por la noche y colchonetas para las tumbonas de la piscina ya que eran muy duras pero de muy buena calidad.

Una maravilla en las montañas

Fue muy fácil alquilar la casa y la comunicación con Sine ha sido muy bueno todo el tiempo. Contestaba rápidamente, era muy agradable y fue muy comprensiva con nosotros en cuanto ajustarse a necesidades del grupo. La casa esta muy bien cuidada y equipada. Nos encantó los espacios en el jardín, la barbacoa, la vista, y la piscina. Es una casa simple, pero con todo y con mucho carácter. Además, nos gustó el toque de dejar un manual con todos los detalles de la casa bien indicado, y incluyendo su historia. :) Hay rutas de senderismo bonitas muy cerca de casa y el centro del pueblo queda a nada. Muchas gracias!

Baños necesitan reforma urgente

Los colchones son bastante incómodos (de muelles en el dormitorio principal). La casa estaba sucia y el suelo sin fregar/limpiar. Los 2 cuartos de baño estan muy deteriorados y las tuberías atascadas lo que hace que el agua de la ducha se sale del plato de ducha y hasta se sale por la junta del váter. No se puede alquilar una casa por este precio en estas condiciones. Bastante decepcionante.

Estuvimos cómodos.,aunq creemos q la casa debería de estar dotada con leña y ya si a la llegada estuviera prendida para darle calorcito hubiese sido todo un detalle. En la cocina había casi de todo aunque para siete un poco escaso de unidades. Los colchones estaban fenomenal.

Súper acogedora

La casa es preciosa, tiene de todo, muy amplia, habitaciones fantásticas con camas muy buenas, todo súper limpio. Vistas estupendas, el único inconveniente es que vino mi madre de 83 años y le costó subir las cuestas de acceso a la casa. Todo fenomenal
