My ground floor, spacious and bright apartment puts a contemporary twist on Georgian style. Located in the heart of the famous New Town, 10 minutes walk from Princes Street and the rail station, this is the perfect location to explore Edinburgh from.
My apartment is in the heart of the New Town. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and therefore carefully protected from ugly development. It supports a lovely mix of residential property and boutique retailing - tons of coffee shops, private galleries, restaurants, interior design shops etc. My apartment comes with keys to a private community garden too, nice for a stroll or to read a paper on a nice day.

Perfectly located in Edinburgh's Newtown

Our host, Stephen, was there to meet us on our arrival and took us through the essentials of a beautiful city apartment, conveniently situated in the ground floor of a substantial Georgian House. Tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable it was place we were in no hurry to leave each day and very happy to be returning to each day. In short walking distance to a number of excellent restaurants and on a bus route to the old town, there is nothing to fault this venue.

Wonderful stay at Steven's

Steven met us on checking in and showed us around his apartment. We had a lovely stay, the place was clean, chic and stylish. Great location with lots of nearby cafés and restaurants. Around 15 mins away from royal mile and princes street. Highly recommended :)

A great base.

The apartment is exactly as described, a stylish and convenient place to stay in Edinburgh. It is in walking distance of all the attractions although set on a hill so probably not a good choice if you have mobility issues. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby as well as a Tesco shop. The bed is small but very comfortable.

Amazing place

Steven met us promptly as agreed at the flat. The kitchen has everything you could need but personally we used the kettle and fridge only as the restaurants and pubs too good to be missed. Its a safe and so peaceful in and around the flat.

Great location for visiting Edinburgh

The apartment is in a really convenient location in Edinburgh's characterful New Town and it was a lovely place to stay to enhance our appreciation of the city. Most of the city attractions are easily within walking distance. The apartment is well-equipped and has all you need. It also has plenty of New Town character, especially the beautiful entrance hallway. .

Lovely stay in period property

Steven's apartment was spacious and full of character. It was in an ideal location just a 10 min walk to the main shopping area. The flat had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was very helpful and polite, and gave some great recommendations of places to visit, restaurants and where we could park for free. We recommend the New Chapter restaurant down the road, the food was amazing!

Calm in the city

Steven was communicative throughout the booking process, he met us on arrival at an agreed time, gave us a tour of the property and explained the check out process. The ground floor property is spacious, with a lovely lounge and bathroom, good kitchen and the amenities as advertised in a great location to access all the nearby city hot spots. The bedroom at the rear of the property is peaceful and quiet with a comfortable bed, lovely cotton bed linen and shutters providing the conditions for a perfect nights sleep. We would love to stay there again in the future!

Clean & comfortable apartment in very good location

We chose this apartment for it's convenient location within easy walking distance of the main attractions in the centre of Edinburgh, it's also close to the railway station. We found it to be clean and comfortable and matched the online description. Nearby there are food shops, a nice cafe called Leo's, lots of restaurants and plenty to see, we really enjoyed our stay. Steven was frindly and helpful, we would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Fabulous town house in fabulous location

I can't praise this property highly enough. A wonderful location, a beautiful property that gave you a real sense of staying in Edinburgh's New Town. Comfortable, incredibly tasteful (I loved the art) and with a beautiful relaxing ambiance. A well equipped kitchen, a lovely bed, a great shower, all the things you want, and excellent people-watching from the front room. As an added bonus, there's a Tesco Express right on the doorstep, a lovely pub across the road, and you get the key to the private Queen Street Gardens. I'm already planning to go back.

We would have no hesitation in returning to this apartment. This makes much more sense than a hotel. It’s superbly located, clean and tidy, and well equipped for a short/medium-term stay. Steven is a responsive and helpful owner, who met us and made the arrival process easy, and he had lots of helpful advice on local restaurants etc.

We were greeted upon arrival by Steven who showed us around the apartment and shared his knowledge of the surrounding shops restaurants and coffee shops, the apartment is exactly how you imagine it to be very tasteful clean and beautifully furnished, theres everything you need to start you off and the tesco express is literally a stones throw away. We had lunch at New Chapter Restaurant which is in walking distance about 10 minutes down the road and it was absolutely superb and very highly recommended if you're looking for some where nice to eat. All in all a great place to stay and we would certainly recommend it to anybody Thank you Steven we had a great time Vince and Kath Muir

Great Location, Historic Building- just what we were looking for

We (my wife and I, in our mid to late 50's) stayed in the apartment for a few days- a long weekend in the beginning of September 2016. It is well located, on a quiet street, but only a short walk away from the major tourist attractions. The owner met us at the apartment, showed us around the place, and made some recommendations regarding nearby coffee shops, stores and pubs. He said that we had come at a quiet time- after the festival, but before the students returned to college. The apartment was as advertised. It is in a historic building, and you feel that- in a positive sense. The living room is spacious. The owner is a designer, and the apartment is decorated in good taste. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. It suited our needs well, and I would definitely recommend it to friends or family. Parking near the apartment is an issue. The owner informed us of this before our arrival, and suggested some alternatives. During business hours parking on the street is expensive. We were there mostly over the weekend, so it wasn't much of an issue for us. I'll repeat that the apartment is as advertised- no unpleasant surprises (this is very important in my view). Our stay there was part of a longer vacation in Scotland, and we were quite pleased.

Just what we wanted

Up for the first weekend of the Fringe and had a great stay. Steven was a great host, meeting us at the apartment and then advising on local pubs, restaurants and things to do. Apartment was lovely and in a great location about 20 minute walk from the fringe and downhill at the end of the night which was great after a few (or more) beers. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this lovely apartment as we had a wedding at the George Hotel. It was so conveniently located for our needs with lots of lovely places to eat/drink nearby. The apartment itself was stylish and comfortable and Steven was very welcoming and able to give recommendations of restaurants etc. in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer! Only area for improvement would be that we could not find a tin opener when we wanted beans with our fry up haha! Would happily stay again and recommend to friends. Thank you! Laura and Paul.

Beautiful flat in New Town. Perfect stay!

Beautiful and big flat. Well furnished with everything required to cook. We felt very welcome by Steven who was very accommodating for our arrival. 12 minutes walk to the royal mile, 10 to the train station and 5 to the bus station. Beautiful location in New town. Highly recommended !
