About this property

This is a delightful spacious 2 bedroom top-floor apartment with sea view and shared pool. The quiet beach is only 250m away. There is a large lounge/dining room and kitchen with full kitchen facilities including dishwasher and washer/dryer. There are 2 balconies and a sun terrace. There is also a cot and a highchairs available at no extra cost unlike some others who charge separately for these items. The apartment is situated within Portugal’s No.1 Golf links resort, Praia D’el Rey Golf and Beach Resort (recently voted European Golf Resort of the year 2007) on the beautiful Silver Coast (Costa Prata). We are conveniently located within the resort and only a short walk to the Clubhouse and 1st tee (5min), 250m to beach (5min), children’s play area (1min) and tennis courts (5min). Plenty of activities for non-golfers. Spa treatments available from the 5* Marriott Hotel on site. Only 10min drive away from the famous medieval walled city of Obidos.

Golf: Praia D'El Rey is an 18 Hole Par 72 Championship Links Course designed by Cabell B. Robinson. Golf Resort of the Year 2007 - International Association of Golf Tour Operators. Golf World - Ranked 80th in Top 100 courses in the World. Golf World - Ranked 13th in Continental Europe. We are conveniently located within the resort and are less than 5 minutes walk from our apartment to the First Tee and Clubhouse.

Plenty of activities for the non-golfer: Tennis-courts only 5 mins walk away. 5* Marriott Hotel on-site with shops, restaurants, bar, health club with gym, spa treatments, indoor and outdoor pools and business centre. Water sports. Surfing. Fishing. Horse riding.
The location is great for: Walking holidays, Beach / lakeside relaxation, Cycling holidays, Winter sun holiday, Wineries nearby (15min drive).

Beautiful resort

Wonderful location, just moments from the clubhouse. Great golf on the doorstep. The apartment block itself is a little tired as was the apartment. Great for a basic stay, but if you like a more up to date/ smarter property this might not be for you. A point of concern was the lack of fire/ CO alarms.

Lovely apartment with everything that we needed!!

We stayed 3 nights then booked for 1 extra as we relaxed so much. Pool for the kids was perfect, close to Obidos, terrace, facilities, all good. We had a lovely stay here. Many thanks!

Smart , confortable,large and so calm , Paradisiac

A charming place that will delight the golfers, but also the surfers or the followers of the "farniente", very comfortable and vast flat very well equipped, A haven of peace and absolute tranquility. The garden of the residence is beautiful and the location of the resort is ideal for visiting Portugal. A charming assistant, Isabel, missionary, very effective. Peaceful apartment with brilliant beaches

Apartment was exactly as described with all the facilities that were required. Pool lovely and clean and landscaping was well kept. You will need a car to stay here. Driving not a problem and even driving around Lisbon was not an issue. Car can be parked close to the apartment.Beaches were excellent especially if you like surfing and body boarding. Owner communication excellent and hassle free. Defiantly recommend .

Schöner Urlaub im September

Vom 7.-21. September haben wir einen wunderbaren Urlaub in Praia D'El Rey verbracht. Das Apartment hat alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt , es war sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Ein Auto würden wir auf jeden Fall empfehlen, allein schon um das Umland zu erkunden und auch für Einkäufe. Im Resort gab es einen Mini-Supermarkt, in dem man das Nötigste bekommen konnte. Das Meer und der tolle Strand waren nicht weit entfernt und wurden von uns ausgiebig genutzt. Der Pool der zum Apartmenthaus gehörte, war sehr schön und gehörte uns im September fast allein. Wir kannten bis jetzt nur Portugals Norden und waren auch von dieser Region begeistert. Die Tips, die wir im Apartment vorgefunden haben bez. Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurans, waren klasse. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns das Tribeca in Sierra del Rei. Alles in allem war es ein toller Urlaub und wir sagen hier nochmals Danke an Andy und Chui, auch für die wirklich komplikationslose Buchung. Ulrich und Sigrid, Tönisvorst

Lovely apartment at Prai Del Rei

We would highly recommend this apartment for anyone who would like to explore this wonderful part of Portugal. We visited this region 20 years ago, and apart from some new motorways making access a lot easier, it has remained largely unspoilt, and it's possible to experience the real Portugal with ease. Chui and Andy's apartment is lovely - clean and very well maintained,great views from the wrap around balcony, and everything you need for your stay is there. The pool is very pleasant and was nice and warm during our stay. The beaches, just a few minutes walk away, are fantastic, though the sea is quite lively here, so not ideal for swimming (great for surfing though) A car is essential - we flew to Faro and drove up, which was actually really easy, but Lisbon is the nearest airport and that's less than an hour away. The Praia Del Rei resort itself is extremely well landscaped - we're not golfers but if you are I'm sure it's a great place to play. There are also places to eat on site (we ate at the clubhouse a couple of times, and it's very nice. The apartment itself is on the top floor so not ideal for disabled because of the stairs but otherwise access is very good. Plenty of parking outside the apartment too. I'd like to thank Chui and Andy for their excellent communication throughout the booking process and after we returned. They are keen to do their best to ensure that everything is just right, and if you are thinking of visiting this part of Portugal, book with confidence.

Familienurlaub an der Silberküste

Wir haben 3 Wochen im August 2010 Urlaub gemacht. Das Appartment ist gut ausgetattet (allerdings: der Trockner funktioniert nicht, bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und frischen Temperaturen wäre das noch perfekt gewesen! Ansonsten technesch, v.a. multimedial excellent ausgestattet!), Pool und Praia del Rey als Umgebung (mit Kinderspielplatz um die Ecke, Minimarket, reichhaltigen Möglichkeiten zum Sport) sind o.k. Der Strand ist wunderschön, die Wellen allerdings manshoch und deshalb für Familien eher ungeeignet. In einer halben Autostunde ist aber Sao Martinho de Porto mit einem familienfreundlichen Strand zu erreichen, wir empfehlen ebenso das Tejoufer als Badespaß in der Nähe von Santarém mit Sandstrand, Flußkrebsen und deutlich wärmeren Temperaturen als an der Küste. Wir hatten einige Male schmudelig-graues Wetter am Wasser (ein warmes Fleece sollte man dabei haben) und 10km im Landesinneren war dann der Sommer - Auto ist also unbedingt empfehlenswert! Schöne Orte, Kirchen, Lissabon, Strände - alles gut zu erreichen. Toll, dass im Appartement sowohl ein Reiseführer wie auch privat zusammengestellte Infos waren! Die Wohnung ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber und ordentlich. Es ist alles Notwendige vorhanden (sogar Bodyboards und Strandspiele, DVD- und Videorecorder, etc.). Bei schlechtem Wetter allerdings kriecht die Feuchtigkeit in das Apartment und lässt sich dann erst wieder mit Sonne aus der nach Norden hin ausgerichteten Wohnung (auch der Balkon) vertreiben. Pool und Anlage sind gepflegt und schön, die Agentur ist sehr freundlich und gibt Tipps zu Stränden (für und mit Kindern) und Restaurants. Wir waren zufrieden!
