A special place to stay

We had a great week in this wonderful holiday cottage. We could easily have spent the whole week enjoying the view and surroundings but did venture out to see the rest of Donegal. Recommend this cottage tk anyone wanting peace and quiet surrounded by nature.

Relaxing stay in idyllic location.

The Sea House is a beautiful, cosy cottage situated between Dungloe and Maghery . The cottage is tastefully decorated with a nautical theme and is immaculately presented. The large picture window looks out to the sea, the islands, the mountains and outside the higher decking provides spectacular views of the area. The nearby beach at Maghery is a perfect strand for walks and there are longer walks around Maghery where you can take in the magnificent scenery . Dungloe is close for shopping and there is also a River Walk which provides an easy walk through a magical fairyland and along the river. After a day’s exploring, the Sea House is a perfect place to return to and watch the sun setting over Arranmore island .

The Sea House is perfect

The 3 of us, plus our small dog had a brilliant time staying at this spotless, bright, cosy home. It had everything we needed plus a roaring peat fire which my hubby lit at night. The view from the large picture window in the kitchen is beautiful. The location is so peaceful and you can see the light and weather change before your eyes. We made breakfast each day before setting off on our trips and ate out in the evenings after exploring the beautiful beaches and surrounding towns. We were so lucky as it was cold, dry, bright and sunny during our stay. The wifi is very good. The decor just lovely and so homely. Dungloe is 5 mins drive away with plenty of local shops as well as Lidl, Aldi and Supervalu. We ate in the Bridge Inn and Mcaffertys and both were really good. I would highly recommend a stay at the Sea House to recharge your batteries.

What a Gem

Excellent 3 night stay in this beautifully and tastefully renovated cottage. The pictures do not do it justice. Amazing views and everything that you would need. It's more than a home from home. Very comfortable and our 14 and 11 year old and wee dog also loved it. We will hopefully be back again in the future. Thanks 😊

I had a wonderful week in the most beautiful setting.

The property is so cosy and beautifully finished. The light is wonderful and there is a great shed where I could charge my electric bike for the hours of cycles around the back road of glorious Donegal.

Sensational!

What a find this little gem is! From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a pot of tea and some scones, we were hooked. The views from the property are so much better in real life, than any photo could show. I often caught myself gazing out the enormous picture window at the ever changing tidal bay. The decor was really lovely too. (much better than we were expecting) Overall we couldn't have been happier with our choice Thank you

Little luxury gem

We absolutely adored our stay in Sea House. What a wonderful property: it's comfortable, cosy, very well-equipped and with unbeatable views out over the sea. Geraldine welcomed us to the house with fresh scones, tea and flowers...a genuinely lovely reception. This house surpasses all the photos and descriptions...the space is generous yet easy to heat (open fire was wonderful) and very pleasant to come back to after a day exploring the many glorious beaches in the area (recommend Dooey, Carrickfin and Mullaghduff..but just veer off the main road and who knows what you'll find). The bed is comfy, the shower is great, the kitchen is very well-equipped and the location is fantastic. Good food to be found in Dungloe (Bayview Tavern) and the Lobster Pot (Burtonport) and great Guinness at the local pub in Maghery. The house was spotlessly clean and easy to manage. Thanks to Geraldine and Sharon for ease of communication and the warm welcome. This house is highly recommended and we definitely hope to be back....a real home from home.

Beautiful cottage with amazing views.

We had a wonderful week in this cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Furnished to the highest standards. Sparkling clean and so well equipped. We arrived late in the evening to be greeted with homemade scones, butter and jam. Our dog was in heaven with the lovely space for him to play in. It was a bonus having great WiFi as well as a washing machine and drier.Would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful cottage. We hope to return some day.

the perfect respite during a busy trip

We spent 3 nights here in early May. We were mid-way through a fast-paced self guided tour of Ireland, and were ready for a bit of a break. This beautiful setting and comfortable home provided everything we were looking for and needed. The house is charmingly decorated and just a delight both inside and out. We only wish the weather had been a bit warmer so we could enjoy the deck and view the gorgeous sunsets from outside rather than inside. We were so pleased with the tea, coffee, milk and scones provided. We cooked in two nights and had most of the utensils needed. Would suggest providing salt and pepper, but we made do without. Our host Natasha was so accommodating to us when we forgot to have the cleaning fee on hand in cash when we checked out. We highly recommend this property.

Beautiful house and view!

We had a wonderful stay for my husband’s 50th Birthday weekend! It was a surprise where we were staying and he was really impressed by the Sea House. The view is beautiful and we enjoyed watching all the changing views with the weather. The house is spotless and so comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook and did cook quite a bit. The house is close to Dungloe and all that we needed. Overall it was a wonderful stay. We really relaxed and we hope to be back very soon.

PARADISE BY THE SEA

We stayed here last week for 5 days. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Ann who made us feel very welcome. The property itself is stunning both inside and out and the view is absolutely amazing. We spent hours staring out the window watching the seals. It is obvious that a lot care and thought has gone into renovating this property. It is only a short drive to the local town which has some great bars and restaurants. We will most certainly be back.

Fantastic location for a weekend away

My family and I had a fantastic stay in the cottage. The house is cosy and comfortable, great to snug up by the fire place after a long hike. My daughter loved particularly watching the seals out of the kitchen window. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and all amenities were provided at the house. Natasha was great to deal with, all communication was super fast and straight forward. Thanks for a lovely stay, we would love to come back.

A beautiful cottage with far reaching views, perfect for a relaxing stay.

The Seaside House is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing holiday, it is beautifully designed to make the most of the stunning views from it's elevated position just a short walk from the water's edge of Dungloe Bay. There is a vast picture window in the kitchen diner where you can sit and watch the huge skies change colours and see the sun set over the island of Arranmore Island. We learnt about oyster farming by watching the fishermen from the window and it's lovely to observe the group of seals that takes up residence once the workers have vacated the bay. Storm Hector passed through half way through our week but we were warm and cosy with the help of the peat fire in the sitting room. The cottage is well equipped with high quality linens and towels and the bed is very comfy. Thanks to Natasha and Shona for their help. I have no hesitation in recommending this gem of a holiday home. Hilary, June 2018.
