Secluded home from home in idyllic olive grove with sea views

For those who enjoy quiet this house is a perfect retreat. There has been so much attention to detail to home & garden which makes it such a pleasure to stay there. It’s location is amazing amidst olive groves with 360 degree views of mountains & sea. One of the highlights of the stay were visits from Eleni & Panagiotis who own the house. They are so charming & so generous with incredible food parcels of Eleni’s delicious home cooking. The beach 10 minutes walk away is also wonderful. The house is ideal for friends, or a couple or a family as there is not a lot of privacy because all the floors are connected by an open spiral staircase. We loved it there & will be back.

Beautiful little house in an Olive grove

We've just spent two lovely weeks in this house near Asopos ( 3km) and Bozas beach. The house is 10 minutes' walk along the quiet road to Bozas which has an excellent and friendly restaurant and a beautiful beach. Well furnished on 3 floors, the house gave us a comfortable and beautiful base for our travels round the lower part of this 'finger' of the Peloponnese. Access to floors is by means of a spiral staircase. The kitchen is well-equipped. The house is set amidst olive trees giving a strong sense of privacy. Eleni and Kostas provided very helpful information about the house and the area. We were welcomed by Kostas' wonderful parents (who speak only Greek) who directed us from Asopos then showed us all we needed to know about the cottage and more. Their warm and extremely friendly approach was a great welcome to the house. The shaded garden has hammocks and comfortable seating. We walked regularly to Plitra which has lovely calm beaches and a number of very good restaurants. The walk took us about an hour from the house and gave us a bit more of a sense of the local area. We had a wonderful relaxing break in this pretty house. The electrics of the house only allow small appliances, lighting and chargers to be used. While there is no wifi we got a strong cellphone signal so with a decent data package we had a strong mobile internet connection. Fridge and hob are operated by gas. There are a number of brikis and a small gas briki burner so we regularly made our own Greek coffee. On the warmer nights it might have been preferable to have the use of a fan, but this was our only reservation about the house. We had a very memorable and enjoyable holiday in this unusual and distinctive property. We were delighted and honoured to meet Kostas' parents. We have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone looking for a holiday in an unspoilt part of the Greek mainland.

Peaceful

From the lovely greeting from Eleni (the owners mum) to the jars of olives and bottles of olive oil in the kitchen all made a great and lasting impression. The house is clean and has lost of great little touches. The setting is amazing with truly breathtaking sunsets. If you want a really "get away from it all" type of holiday book this house now! (I would have given 4 stars but did struggle with the stove)

Calme absolu

Amazing Sea-side House with Stunning Views!

As soon as we reached this house we realised we’d found our perfect holiday home. It’s in a really beautiful position about 50 metres from the sea with low cliffs, overlooking the blue waters of the Laconian Gulf. The house is situated in fields of olives, with orange trees lining the road to the nearest village. We stayed in Spring when the wildflowers were out and all day we heard the sound of birds singing and insects humming in the fields. The sunsets are amazing viewed from the balcony and then the clear skies are full of bright stars. It’s a great place to stay for peace and quiet, with freedom for you and children to wander and so much to explore in the gardens and on the nearby beach. There are three outdoor seating areas and a swing and hammocks, too, for relaxing in. The house itself is very clean and well-maintained. The owners are keen to be eco-friendly and we were very kindly looked-after by the owners relatives. The furniture is new and the beds and sofas really comfortable. The kitchen is well provided with all equipment for cooking and also a barbeque outside. We loved the olives and fresh oranges provided for us. The nearest village has shops, bars and a chemist to buy what you need. Molaoi (about 8km) is a bigger town with banks and restaurants. We ate in nearby Papadianika. There is so much to visit nearby. Gytheio has a lovely harbour with great seafood, Sparti is nice to visit with the remains of ancient Sparta and also Mystras. About one hour away is beautiful Monemvasia and also a trip south to Neapoli is worthwhile. A bit further away is Mani with spectacular mountain roads and totally unspoilt villages with stone towers. There are plenty of beaches for swimming or just walking. We’d recommend this house to anyone who is looking for peace and space, close to nature. A really relaxing holiday and I’m certain we will return. This is a little piece of the Real Greece!

An idyllic holiday

We had a wonderful week here in perfect peace despite it being August. The outside shower was in frequent use because of the heat and is a real plus point. The views from the balcony were wonderful and sitting there each evening could never get boring - the stars and night sky were amazing. There is everything you need at the tower, it's lovely and clean too. The beds are really comfortable, the hammocks are fun when they are in the shade. The private cove is worth the scramble down and harder climb up but would be more fun if it were easier to get to. The main beach is lovely, not overdeveloped, clean and with a cafe with nice loos - only 3 minutes by car. There is nothing negative to say - it is as it looks and better! We would be happy to stay again and hope one day to have the opportunity.

A pleasant surprise in an virgin area!

Great choice in a tourist free area!A really feel-at-home atmosphere in a well equiped & eco-friendly powered house.Spacious ground floor, a romantic attic & a veranda with panoramic views to the sea and sunset over the olive groves & fig trees that give the essence of greek summer.Great sandy beach & small coves away-from-it-all in walking distance.Nearby hiking on the Paliokastro steep hill & unique diving in the underwater ruins of ancient Asopos city.Tavern on the beach but its far better buying fresh fish from nearby small ports of Plytra or Elia and enjoy your BBQ along with local wine.Everything you need can be found in the market of Asopos or Papadianika villages. We enjoyed so much the tranquility & rural atmosphere of this farmhouse that we prefered to relax listening to the cicadas, crickets and the sea murmuring, rather driving away to the plentyfull of this area's sightseeings. The owners,Kostas & Eleni, are very helpful and we regard them as friends since we met them. Underneath the milky way

A very nice little house in the middle of an olive grove, next to a fig field. Away from it all, very quiet and peaceful: you, the cycads and the stars. The nearby "private" beach is not easy to reach but very nice to swim. The next family beach is just 10 minutes through the fields, big and sandy, with a nice taverna. To go shopping in the village you have to go by car, but you'll get almost everything you need. The house is totally new and well equipped, self-supplying with a solar panel, but rather tiny. First floor balcony has a marvelous view to the sea of the Laconian gulf by day and to the stars by night. The owners were very friendly, helpful and always reachable. We had a great time.

Perfect place next to the sea away from the crowd

From the house very good view on the sea or the mountains and nothing to brake the sound of nature. There are also plenty of good beaches nearby and oranges to steal from the trees.

Spectacular location

The location, views, proximity to the beach were fantastic!Communication was hard and we arrived to a locked house, eventually found the keys.We stayed in April so it was a chilly and rainy, the only heat is the fireplace. We were comfortable making fires but not everyone might. It is a solar powered house with solar hot water so when the sun isn’t out the hot water was tepid. The location and views are worth the quirks!

Peaceful and relaxing vacations

The house is stand alone located in the middle of an olive grove. Distance to the next village ("Asopos") is approx. 4 km and 2 km to the next public beach ("Bozas"). The house looks as described in the advertisment and the landlord is a very friendly and helpful man. From the terrace in the first floor you can see the sea and at night you can watch a fantastic starry sky (!). Because of all the mosquitoes, a spray is highly recommended. Since the house has no air conditioning, you should keep the windows open all day (all windows have a mosquito screen) and use the wind from the coast.

Wonderful Rachi Boza

I had a wonderful five weeks at Rachi Boza. Kostas is a great landlord and his parents were warm and kind. His mother regularly brought me delicious food from her kitchen and treated me like a family member. The house is amidst the most wondrous garden of flowers, trees and fruits I’ve ever seen. There are many trails and cliffs to explore and you can walk to Μποζας beach, which is pebbly and has a taverna and beautiful, calm, clear water to swim in. Perfectly located for exploring the Pelopponese, the house is self supporting solar with gas cooktop. The views are of both the sea and the mountains and are spectacular. Highly recommend.
