Great family holiday.

Holiday centered around the villa and pool. The pool temperature was perfect during our stay in August. Very hilly area requiring a suitable car. Accommodation was spacious.

Great house

Perfect house for a large family gathering. Fantastic pool and garden. Fabulous views. Patricia and Emi were very helpful. Needs a bit of tlc in places and could have done with air con the first week as it was so hot but second week was much better heat wise. Plenty of space and well equipped. Had a fabulous time and would certainly return.

Family Holiday (18-80)

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa. It’s set on a hilltop with a beautiful view where we witnessed some incredible sunsets. The pool was very welcome, cooling us down on hot sunny days and motivating us to swim every day (as well as the odd lilo race!) There were enough bedrooms for 10 of us aged 18 to 80. The pool table, table tennis table and chess board allowed us lots of opportunities to relax and there was plenty of space for whole family fun, or to find a space to mooch on our own. Patricia was very responsive to queries and did her best to resolve anything we asked about. The fans provided were mostly good at managing the heat until there was a heatwave alert where air conditioning was definitely needed. Our last night was particularly uncomfortable with indoor temperatures at 29 degrees C. Positives: The position of the villa - incredible views, great terraces, fig trees, lots of trees, bushes, plants, privacy including a lockable gate to the grounds, friendly village of Viznar with a wonderful Panadaria The pool (thanks to Emi for regular cleaning) Friendly and helpful owner with great communication Activities - pool table, table tennis, chess, boules, bbq Plenty of crockery and cookware - including a massive paella pan Things to be aware of: The roads to the villa in Viznar are tight and tricky to navigate in a people carrier and for nervous drivers Some furnishings are a little tired No air con Pay to have bins emptied or DIY (short drive)

Perfect villa for large family break

The villa was amazing and we loved every minute of our stay. The pool was beautiful and with the pool table and large outdoor space there was something for everyone. Patricia was very welcoming and helpful with every aspect of our stay. Would definitely stay at the villa again in the future.

Our Special Family Holidayt

This holiday was a family one for three special birthdays, it was my dream to have all my children and grandchildren together for a week. The villa is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. It was immaculate and the views were tremendous. There was nothing that you wanted that wasn't already there. Patricia the owner is there to hand over the keys and is there on your departure. She is an amazing lady who cares so much that you have a wonderful time. I would , we all would recommend any one to book this villa and you will not regret it. Thank you Patricia for all your help, uunderstanding and especially for sharing your home.

Fabulous family holiday

The Villa was everything it promised and more. Patricia made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of space to spread out and the children loved the large pool and other amenities. The lovely birthday cake was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend. Excellent for a large family gathering.

The most impressive villa that we have ever stayed in.

I cannot express how wonderful the villa is . Before we arrived I communicated frequently with Patricia with various queries and arranging trips to Alhambra. She was always so helpful and obliging.Whilst we were there Patricia was at hand to help arrange different catering needs and to help ensure that we had the best holiday possible. The villa is large ,spacious and met the needs of a large multi generational family. Every area was spotlessly clean. Before booking we had read the reviews and wondered could any villa deserve consistently excellent reviews, this villa and Patricia certainly do.

Fantastic holiday villa

Aynadamer Villa is a delightful property ,very spacious with fantastic views. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for visiting Granada , Alhambra Palace and the Sierra Nevada mountains. We enjoyed the short walk to the beautiful hillside village of Viznar. Our stay was a very enjoyable and we would highly recommend this Villa.

Great house - wonderful location

The owner met us in the nearby village to make sure that we got to the property, which was a great help as it is tucked away down a dirt road, and then went through the house in detail so that we knew where everything was. The large safety deposit was a bit of a shock and it would have been good to know the amount before hand as we didn't have enough cash but we were able to pay on our card. We enjoyed eating together every night on the terrace watching the amazing sunsets. We also appreciated having pool towels provided and the welcome bread baskets. We spent most of the week enjoying the pool but the location is within walking distance to a couple of bars and only 15 mins away from Granada by car so great for exploring the city. You can see and hear the dual carriageway from the house but it is not intrusive. Good wifi and smart TV so our teenagers were happy too. Thanks Patricia for letting us stay in your wonderful house.

Superb stay at Villa Aynadamar

We arrived on 6th August at 11.00am and the villa was ready for us, having liaised with Patricia beforehand about our early arrival. The villa is very spacious and is well equipped, especially the kitchen. There are numerous 'breakables', which we made sure we moved out of the way at the beginning due to having six children with us (sorry Patricia, never got around to putting them all back where they belong). The rooms were more then adequate and there are fans to compensate for the lack of aircon. The veranda area is great for evening meals and drinks and we were even treated to a couple of firework displays in the distance overlooking Granada. Plenty of shooting stars as well. We found the best part of the villa to be the pool area. Massive pool and plenty space for the kids to mess about. Beware the sprinklers at 2.00pm though, bit of a shock to the system of they cath you unawares! The walk into Viznar village takes 15-20 minutes, but for those less mobile, the hill at the end can be a bit arduous. Florida bar in the village is spot on, basic, but does a job. Kiosk bar in the village is good for the kids with a playground, but check the opening times. There is a small shop in the village, but this is very hit and miss in terms of opening times. There is a bus stop by the Kiosk bar that takes you into Alfacar and then Granada. Alfacar has a supermarket, bank and a few restaurants and bars. This is a 30 min walk from the villa, but again, beware the hills. Cars are not essential, but I would certainly recommend if only to assist with shopping runs. Patricia sorted out car hire for us for a few days, which worked out a lot cheaper then the quotes we received when walking into enterprise / Europcar in Granada. All in all, a cracking holiday and will be returning some time in the future. Thanks Patricia, Ian

Amazing house and facilities with a view you never get tired of!

We stayed here as a family of 14. The property is a very high standard with large bedrooms spaced out on various levels so you never felt like you were on top of each other. The pool is great with a nice grass area next to it which all the children loved. We would definitely recommend this property for a summer family holiday and Patricia the owner was very helpful and replied very quickly to any questions.

Stunning villa with views to die for

This is a beautiful, spacious villa inside and out, perfect for sharing with family and friends. It provides areas of sun and shade at all times of the day. The grounds are vast so lots of space for activities and the pool is a good size to accommodate large parties. The Villa is designed to stay cool, all the bedrooms have fans, and even though we had temperatures in the mid 30's during our stay we were never too hot. The villa was comfortable,clean and well equipped with everything you could wish for. We particularly enjoyed eating and drinking outside in the evenings absorbing the stunning views and spectacular sunsets. We also recommend walking into Viznar village buying bread from the local bakery and sampling the hospitality of the local tapas bar and restaurant. Patricia the owner of this property was a delight. She responds to e-mails very quickly and when we had a small problem with the pool she travelled from Madrid to ensure it was thoroughly sorted promptly. I highly recommend this property and is one of the few I would be keen to revisit another time.

Brilliant property and host

This year marked our 8th year holidaying as a group (13) in Andalucía. We all agreed this was the best place we'd stayed. Key positives: The house is massive, there was no point in which anyone got in anyone's else's way. Owner extremely helpful and welcoming (provided links to supermarkets and allowed for an early check in) No neighbours nearby which meant you could listen to music without fear of upsetting anyone (house is not isolated it is just 10 minutes walk from the town/neighbours) Viznar had a couple of bars both serving food and drink until late - very good value also. Granada easily connected by bus (I think less than 1.50 for a single and takes approx. 20 mins) Negatives (and these are just for balance as we loved it) - it is quite close to a main road but you cant really hear it - road up to the house is a little testing if you are not a confident driver - Large Euro cash deposit required (there was no issue in this being returned at all, its just quite a large sum to exchange if you are from outside of the Eurozone) I would have no hesitation in booking this property again

Spacious house with a superb pool

There is lots to love about this house including: - plenty of space - great view from the terrace with amazing sunsets - large clean pool - very well equipped kitchen including a huge paella pan - lovely welcome hamper on arrival We cannot thank Rosa and Santiago enough, they were really helpful throughout our stay including meeting us in the village to show us the way to the house - twice. The location was ideal for us - far enough away from the village so that we didn't have to worry about disturbing the neighbours and yet not too far from the amenities of the village. Viznar is about 20 minutes walk and during our stay we found 2 bars, both with free tapas, a cash point, grocery shop, a pharmacist and bread shop. There is a more up market restaurant which unfortunately is shut in August. There are large supermarkets on the outskirts of Granada which is a short drive away.

a fantastic holiday

we stayed in this villa in late may till early june it was a great week there was 12 of us and the villa easily handled this amount of people and more . it was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated through out patrica could not be more helpful she really cared that you had a good time rosa one evening cooked a traditional Spanish meal well worth the extra cost please do try it you will not be let down the views are spectacular the pool is very clean and large great for children ours loved it please do go you will not be disappointed

Fantastic villa in a great location

When you look at a property online you always wonder whether the photos are a true reflection of the reality. Well believe me, the photos are spot on. The place is AMAZING. We went with a group of 9 people who all said that it was the best villa rental that they had stayed in. The facilities were excellent and the whole place was spotlessly clean. All the way through the booking process Patricia answered all our questions about the property. Then on arrival, Patricia's mother met us in the town and showed us how to get to the villa. We were also greeted with the biggest welcome hamper we have ever encountered including local bread, cakes, coffee, milk, fruit, soft drinks, etc. It was also great to have basic cleaning supplies made available such as dish washer tablets, cleaning liquid, etc. The villa is located on the outskirts of Viznar – a small village to the north of Granada. The views of Granada and the Sierra Nevada are great. It is about 5 minutes to the A92 which makes it very convenient to get to Granada, Malaga and the Sierra Nevada. This does mean that you get some traffic noise outside the villa but it is very minor and can’t be heard indoors. This should be balanced out with the convenience of getting to places such as the Alhambra in about 30 minutes. Though there was no WIFI available, Patricia did provide us with a USB Movistar dongle which allowed us internet access via a netbook. The pool table was very well used as was the boule area. The swimming pool was very large and would accommodate any large group easily. There was shade available and the loungers were of a very high standard. Overall, I cannot recommend Patricia or the villa highly enough. With a large group of people I would book this place again without a second thought. Thank you, Patricia, for letting us stay in such a great villa.

Very comfortable house for get-together of friends

We stayed in this house with 5 families (4 kids: 12-18 y) and had a terrific time! During our week we experienced all kinds of weather (from snow to full sun), and the house offered us fun throughout. When it was snowing we sat around the large living room with the fire crackling, readings books, playing pool and chess, and playing guitar, and with sun we enjoyed the beautiful view of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains, bathing in the sun and jumping in the pool. Everybody had its own comfortable bedroom, with shutters in front of the windows allowing for a undisturbed sleep. With 14 mountain bikes delivered to our place in the early morning we biked around the beautiful Sierra Huevor to the North, the Sierra Nevada or just to Granada (8 km). The owners were very helpful, and the house was top-notch! A great place to enjoy one week of pre-season friendship, cultural Granada and terrific outdoor activities! Coert & Lori

Simply Amazing

We stayed at the villa in Viznar for the first week of July. 2 families with 7 children in total including 4 under-5’s. The villa, the location and the mountain-top views are simply phenomenal . One reviewer said the real-thing is much nicer than the posted pictures and I couldn’t agree more. The comfort and beauty of the villa are only surpassed by the generosity of the hosts and their very welcoming and friendly attitude. Patricia (owner) was away but we were received by her mother (Concepcion) who truly is the ultimate host. Not only had she organized 4 cots for the children and high chairs (and extra toys!!!), but we found she had prepared welcome snacks and drinks for all of us in abundance. She even drove in front of us to the next village’s supermarket and talked them into allowing us to shop when it was 5min to closing! Not to mention her help with the local restaurant, the regular follow up calls from Patricia to ensure our comfort..etc..etc…and all that with a most welcoming smile. Short as it was, this was definitely a most memorable family trip at all levels. Thank you seems ever so inadequate! DEFINITELY recommended. (PS: use “Calle Eras Altas, Viznar” on your navigator and this will lead you through to Viznar and the road that takes you to the villa branches from this one: at least this is what we used, others may have done it differently).

Spring time in Granada

We spent one week in Conchita's house with a group of friends (10 of us, with 4 teenagers). It is a very nice place to stay: roomy, lot of light, decorated with taste, terraces, a large garden with a huge swimming pool, and on top of everything a stunning view on Granada surrounded by mountains. We had a very warm welcome from Conchita. The house is well equipped for a confortable stay. Getting to Granada is easy (a few minutes from the highway), and we also enjoyed las Alpujarras (visiting pretty villages and mountain hiking) and the coast (don't miss Salobreña). I definitively recommand this place for holidays in Andalusia. Jean-Noël

Wonderful weekend

We spent a weekend in March 2010. The location is wonderful, with beautiful views of the mountains of Sierra Nevada. The city of Granada (and its spectacular Alhambra) is only 10 minutes away, and the sea is just 1 hour away. If you enjoy spectacular views and the tranquility and calm at the same time, very close to the sea and mountains, this is the perfect place.

Perfect vacation at the perfect house.

We spent at Villa Aynadamar a week in July, and our vacation there were just perfect. The house is on the top of a hill with beautifull views. On one side Granada, and on the other side Sierra Nevada and all around, olive trees… Perfect to enjoy while having dinner at one of the terraces that the house has all around it. Inside the house is even better, the house is really special, really tastefully, really big, really comfortable. We enjoy the inner garden and spent a lot of time playing pool. With plenty of room for all of us. The garden and pool are very well maintained, which makes you feel cool even in summer The owner, Conchita, is a helpful and attentive person, always trying to make you feel like your own home. Viznar is a pretty small town with friendly inhabitants and Granada is one of the most beautifull city in Spain, The house is so close to Granada that you can enjoy daily “aperitivos”, really famous in Granada, becouse is 10 minutes driving. (ask Conchita….) Ahhhh do not forget to eat the bread in Viznar or Alfacar, really famous and delicius. There are a few bakeries where you can buy it, where is traditional way cooked. (Ask Conchita too) Thank you very much to the owner for these vacation, that neither of us will forget. I hope we will be back soon

At any time of the year, the area has many interesting things to do. In winter, we enjoy the sky resort of Sierra Nevada (at only 50 minutes). In summer, we like to go to the beach. And every moment is a good moment to visit Granada.
