Fabulous villa

Villa is fantastic. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Stayed in several villas on the resort and our favourite so far. Booking process was easy and villa management team easily contactable and responsive to any queries we had whilst there. Great welcome pack saved a trip to the supermarket on arrival! Many games of competitive table tennis in the sunshine. Will definitely be back. Thank you David and Vicky.

Just Fabulous!!

A well appointed beautiful property with fabulous facilities, which was everything we needed for a wonderful family holiday. Everything from contact with David & Vicky the owners, to the fabulous cleaners was just perfect. Thank you and we will return as soon as we know our plans.

Great stay at Casa Sophie, hosts were always very quick to reply whenever needed throughout our stay and throughout the booking process. The villa was spotless clean, had lots of amenities, everything has been thought through. Perfect villa for families with the bonus of the baby pool. Nice quiet location with lovely views from the main living area. Would 100% recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic stay

This property was ideal for our family holiday. Everything was very clean on arrival, the house is in a lovely location and with all the facilities you would need. It is spacious and well-equipped, opening on to a lovely pool area that is very private and relaxing. The elevated position provides a lovely view and ensures that you are not over-looked. All arrangements with the owner were dealt with promptly and the booking process was completed very efficiently. There's some lovely beaches in the surrounding areas, we enjoyed a great day at a local water park, and had some good meals at local restaurants. It was very breezy on some days, which seems to be common in the area. This is pleasant during the day but can be a little bit chilly at night so we did need a jacket on occasion. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this property and would return ourselves

Great location and property !

From start to finish, the stay at Casa Sophie was fantastic. The correspondence with the owner was always timely and informative, with instructions and related details very clear. The property was as per the description and the location very convenient to walk to the 19th hole ! I’d thoroughly recommend the villa and would stay again.....the welcome pack was a particularly well received when we arrived late on the Saturday night. We could well be back next year !!

Excellent Villas and Holiday

The villa was excellent with everything being as described. It was extremely clean and tidy and the facilities and items for use were excellent. The kitchen had everything that was required and more. We did find that it was quite windy for the whole week and whilst this wasn't cold it keep the pool temperature quite chilly so next time we would get the pool heating. The surrounding area and beaches were amazing. You do need a car to get to these but they are approximately a 10 minute drive. I would not hesitate to recommend the property and I would certainly stay there again.

Everything was just perfect! The perfect family holiday in a beautiful part of Portugal.

Having just returned from a fabulous 2 week stay at Casa Sophie I can’t rate this property, David and his management team highly enough. David ensured every aspect of our booking was as simple and straight forward as possible. His communication was above and beyond what I’d previously experienced. I bugged him with several minor queries in the lead up to our holiday about the pool heating, table tennis facilities etc and each time he swiftly replied (usually within hours) with such helpful responses, as if nothing was ever too much trouble. He made me feel very confident in our booking before we’d even left home! He even contacted us to say the villa was cleaned and ready early so my sisters family, who’d got an earlier flight, could get in and start relaxing. They were even more delighted to find a very generous Welcome pack waiting for them with cold beers in the fridge! The villa itself is very spacious without feeling cold and echoey. The kitchen has all the gadgets you need, and some you didn’t realise you needed! We’ve come home wanting a fruit juicer. I recommend buying bags of oranges and having a morning juice round the pool! The whole place is spotless, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the air con works really well and was a real bonus. Previously we’ve had to pay extra for the use of aircon so it’s great this is included in the price. We did have quite a few windy days, but in hindsight it kept us from getting too hot! We decided not to heat the pool which was fine after a quick length up and down to acclimatise. It certainly wasn’t a problem for the children who happily spent hours playing. The smaller paddling pool was a littler warmer and a great place to sit with a book! Despite the wind there is plenty of outside space to find a more sheltered spot. The villa is in a great location for trips out and exploring the many stunning beaches along the West coast. We had a couple of trips to Lagos and enjoyed a visit to Aljezur castle then on to Praia do Monte Clerigo for lunch and beach. Other beaches we’d recommend are; Arrifana, Praia Do Martinhal, Praia de Vale Figueiras, Praia Do Amando and Praia do Burgau Selema is the nearest local place with a lovely beach and a number of great restaurants. We got a mini bus back one night for 8 people at €12. With so many places still to explore we’re hoping for a return visit to Casa Sophie. I would undoubtedly recommend this villa and our thanks to David and the team.

Spacious Luxury Villa - highly recommended

Just returned home having spent a week in Casa Sophie , Budens, Portugal. Communication with the owner David was very clear, straight forward and timely. The Villa..... Wow what a place! Two double rooms with ensuite and two twin rooms benefiting from a family bathroom. Our party consisted of six, four adults and two children and we had more than enough space to accommodate us. The Villa was very clean and well equipped and we had a towel change mid stay. The Villa sits on a Golf resort in the hills above Budens and the area is genuinely beautiful with lots to do in the nearby beach resort of Salema. Couple of tips. Lidl is about 10 mins away from the Villa on the N125 towards Sagres, much better value than Intermarche in Budens. Try a place called Pizza Mobile in Salema, its a small restaurant in the resort where they brew their own beers, the Pizzas are very tasty, reasonably priced and the staff are great fun. This is place is very popular so best to book or you can get take away (There is a menu in the welcome pack). We found the Golf resort and villa could be some 5 degrees cooler than low lying resorts of Burgau, Salema or Luz. We had a fab time and were very comfortable at Casa Sophie. We hope to return to David's villa some day.

Spacious and well equipped villa

Casa Sophie is a well maintained villa in the middle of a lovely resort. Checking in process went according to plan. A good welcome pack was provided which kept us going until we could go to the supermarket. It is a spacious villa inside and out which meant we didn't keep bumping into each other. We had someone with limited mobility and it was great that once we were in the villa (there is a short steep hill up to the villa which we were aware of) that the living and pool area was all on one level to allow for easy access (only one step up to the kitchen and dining room). The bedrooms all opened out onto the pool area and so even when we were experiencing extremely windy days it was nice to look out onto the pool area. The kitchen was well equipped with no need to purchase any utensils. The gym, spa and communal swimming pool are within walking distance. The only thing we felt the villa lacked was the provision of umbrellas. We understand its not possible for windy days, but on non-windy days we were hunting for shade around the pool area. Lovely experience overall and we were not disappointed.

An excellent holiday

Lovely villa which the pictures on the website dont do justice of the inside of the accomodation. Large kitchen, dining area and lounge with lovely bedrooms. Owner provided a great welcome pack which was much appreciated. Outside there was a spacious patio and small grassy area with plenty of loungers and a large dining table. A separate small building housed an indoor BBQ and sink. Overall a very pleasant location with nearby golf course if required. Salima and Burgau close by with excellent beaches and restaurants. Thankyou David, we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Villa in a lovely location

I have to say this is one of the nicest holidays I have had for a long time. The villa was superb and everything we needed was catered for. The villa was very spacious and the pool area was a great place to spend the day in the sun and eating al fresco. The location is in a lovely complex and it was very quiet and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family and would recommend the little restaurant at the end of the complex which was very friendly and the food was exceptionally good and very good value. All in all this was a lovely family holiday that I will remember for a long time and cannot wait to go back.

Relaxation Heaven

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. It has all the amenities needed and is both private and secure. Communication with the owner throughout the booking was excellent. The villa is situated on a golf resort. The only downside is it is not possible to walk to restaurants in nearby Salema etc but we knew this before we confirmed bookings. A lovely villa and lovely holiday

Great villa, good location, great holiday

Villa was superb. Better than advertised. Everything you need. High quality. Location good but you do need a car. Quite windy so in hindsight would’ve heated the pool. The only (very small) thing missing was a Bluetooth speaker for music. The Amado surf school is highly recommended as is a round on the golf course which is right on your doorstep. Several little beach villages nearby with restaurants and shops, all 15-20 min drives, Salema beach about 5 mins. Cabanas beach restaurant a favourite of ours. The owner David was very nice, always contactable, relaxed and easy to deal with and also gave us some great tips! (Surf school at Amado beach). No hesitation in recommending this villa. Great for relaxing by the pool or beach or enjoying activities like golf, surfing, tennis etc. Also fun watching Portugal in the WC with the staff in the golf club restaurant (Spike Bar), great guys. Enjoyable holiday.

Amazing villa and holiday!

Lovely location with spa, restaurant and bar on site. Close to the beach, really nice local restaurants and shops. We recommend the peri-peri chicken! The villa was fantastic, really modern and all on 1 level. The games room was great for our teenage kids. It had a pool table, foosball table, tv and beanbags. We plan to return next year!

Spacious, clean, well appointed, nice pools

Excellent location, quiet at night, close by to local amenities, there was plenty to do in the local area. The actual apartment was lovely and spacious, it was also very clean. The pool set up is excellent as they have a separate pool for the kids. The owner was easy to deal with and helpful in regard to any questions we had. All in all a great stay, the golf was fantastic!

Amazing Villa, Very enjoyable stay!

I have just returned home from my stay with my family and had a amazing time, This villa was perfect for us as I was with my elderly parents and this place is all on one level. The pictures really don't do this place justice, It exceded our expectations in every way. This was a nice surprise for us as I am often disappointed when I compare places I've stayed to the online photos. There was a lovely terrace will a small pool which is ideal for children or just getting your feet wet! Golf course was excellent, one of the best courses I've played in Portugal and only a short walk from the villa. The villa was also very quite and felt very private. All in we had a very relaxing time and will be returning again soon!

Tolle Unterkunft

Wir hatten zwei sehr schöne Wochen in der Unterkunft. Hervorzuheben war das tolle Begrüßungspaket an Knabbereien, Getränken und die Kaffeekapseln zu der vorhandenen Maschine. Das Haus ist zwar schon etwas älter, jedoch in einem guten Zustand. Die vorhandene Tischtennisplatte im Außenbereich, der schöne Pool und der Spielkeller lassen keine Wünsche offen. Die freundlichen Reinigungsdamen sorgen regelmäßig für den Wechsel der Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Rundum haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Amazing property and friendly hosts

Overall it was a pleasant time spent at this amazing property. Weather was not very nice for the first 3 days with strong winds that made virtually impossible to be outside after 11am (same on the beach). The house is spacious for 8 people and the pool is fantastic. The kids loved it and we would love to go back there.

Beautiful villa on the west of the Algarve

Lovely well maintained villa with modern decor, great beds, good appliances and air conditioning. Close to Salema - lovely beach town and other great spots. As others have mentioned it is windy though!
