It is located only 170 meters from the sandy, shallow-watered beach of Loutraki. Swimming can be enjoyed in the crystal clear turquoise waters within a lovely sheltered bay. The beach of Loutraki offers sun beds and parasols, a small cafe for simple lunches and a restaurant with authentic Cretan cuisine.

Approximately 1.3 km north along the coast is the beautiful Marathi bay with three amazing beaches, several restaurants and a beach-cafe.

Ground floor:

Large open space living area with comfortable couches, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. From the dinning area, glass doors separate an open air dinning area in a large covered balcony with stunning sea views. On the other side the living room is connected to a large open terrace next to the private infinity swimming pool.

First floor:

Bedroom with king size bed, fitted wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with shower.

Lower Floor:

Two bedrooms with king size beds (can be converted to twin size beds), en-suite bathroom for each bedroom and fitted wardrobe. In between the bedrooms there is a playroom with video games (Playstation 5) and a home theatre with a big movie collection.

Outdoor area:

A marvellous private garden on the ground floor surrounding the villa and the swimming pool with sun beds for enjoying the sun. Close to the pool a hot tub provides you with the ultimate relaxation. Here, you will renew your spirit and realize that the environment offers you the perfect time, every time. After sun down or early morning you can explore the compound’s natural garden.

Five star stay in Crete

We had a wonderful holiday, the villa is amazing, both internally and externally. The location is ideal with lovely beaches and a Taverna just a short walk away. The Villa has all the facilities you would need for a family or friends and I would highly recommend the property to anyone. George and his wife were very, very friendly and helpful and you couldn't have better or nicer hosts and the pies were delicious. This was a five star villa and a five star holiday.

A lovely property with delightful hosts

Stayed a week 3 couples all three rooms had king sized beds and ensuite. The house was well looked after and very comfortable. We paid to get the hot tub heated and really enjoyed sitting in that. Garden and pool well maintained. A 2 minute walk to a really nice taverna so no designated driver issue. The beach nearby was very nice too. The hosts mum cooked us the most delicious custard/cream pie which I must admit was off the scale delicious. We would certainly recommend this property.

An outstanding place to stay!

We have just spent a wonderful week in this beautiful villa. It is architecturally stunning, and equipped with everything you could need. The location, on the hillside overlooking the sea is beautiful and the gardens are spectacular, in particular the amazing jasmine plants which fill the air with perfume. George and his wife live nearby and were so kind and helpful. They made us traditional Greek pastries and helped us print documents for our boat hire. Nothing was too much trouble. The daily cleaning was such luxury, and she even made us pizza! It was a very tranquil, private place to stay, and we rarely left even though the beautiful bay with a safe beach and taverna was less than 5 minutes’ walk. We asked for the pool to be heated which was perfect as we could swim all day even though it was early in the season, and the enormous jacuzzi was a real treat. We were very sad to leave and hope to return for another relaxing stay in the future. Many thanks!

Perfect villa holiday

The villa was beautiful - modern and light and very clean. The outside space was fantastic with 2 sitting areas with a lovely view across the sea and a pool and beautiful garden. It is about 100 yards from the beach with another lovely beach about a mile away. There is a taverna about 50 yards down the hill which served very good traditional Cretan food at extremely good prices and there are more restaurants at Marathi beach about a mile away. The owner George and his wife were delightful - very helpful and making sure everything was ok for us without being intrusive and Vicky also looked after us very well. This is a fantastic place to stay and we would definitely come back again.

Fantastic villa, great location

Fantastic villa in a great location, close to two bays within walking distance with lovely restaurants and beaches. We booked the private chef one night which was excellent; the best food we had during our stay. Alex and his father, George were great hosts and happily arranged a taxi for us when required. Home cooked pie on arrival was a really lovely touch and unexpected. The only sleight disappointment was that we couldn't use the pool as it was freezing cold and didn't receive sunshine for very long.

Beautiful home and amazing service

This is a truly special property. I stayed with my two daughters (ages 9 and 11) my nephew (age 10) and my brother and sister in law. The property was perfect for us. The entire house had incredible views and was impeccably maintained. Savoula, the housekeeper, treated us like family and was attentive to every detail, even bringing us fresh bread every morning. George, who greeted us upon arrival, made our stay perfect, recommending restaurants and a day cruise which the whole family enjoyed. He maintains a beautiful garden on the property, in addition to the olive grove, and you can smell and sample the variety of herbs in your kitchen. They also helped make my daughter's birthday celebration very special, thank you George! If you want a perfect vacation in Chania, walking distance to the beach, with warm and friendly service, this is your rental. Don't bother looking anywhere else.

Paradise!

We spent a week at Villa Olea over Greek Orthodox Easter weekend and we had a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful and the stunning scenery around the villa was breathtaking. The Villa itself is one of two architecturally designed buildings of stone, glass, wood and metal with eating and relaxing areas inside and outside. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds and all with their own bathrooms. The upper floor bedroom had views overlooking the bay of Loutraki and the White Mountains.... deep azure sea and olive groves through one window and snowy peaks through the other. Magical. Our son had one of the ground floor bedrooms and each morning sat quietly on his own private balcony drinking coffee. The games room was well equipped with X box and a library of dvds. Each day our villa was serviced by the lovely housekeeper but with respect to our privacy and the owner, on hand and checking daily that we were happy and everything was working well. On Easter morning we were presented with a traditional pastry , hot from the owner’s wife and the following day, a tray of tasty Crete treats including feta and spinach parcels arrived! The hot tub was a big hit and was used everyday at least twice. Bubbling jets soothes our limbs whilst we feasted with our eyes on the magnificent view. The infinity pool had a children’s section and a deeper section for those who enjoy a plunge. For us, privacy, peace and quiet and a great location for touring around are the key elements. Villa Olea gave us all those things and much much more. We highly recommend this property and the owners. Please do go and experience this gentle and beautiful Cretan way of life. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Best Greek holiday ever!

All the reviews say everything about the villa it is really that good. The little beach down below is lovely, the local tavern below the villa is great and there is a local bus four times a day that takes you round to Marathi on into Chania to save the hassle of parking. Giorgios and Vicky are wonderful and take great care of you but are not intrusive. So if you want a relaxing holiday with absolutely no hassles,, except the problem of having to leave, then I absolutely recommend this villa and we will book it again. Thanks again to Giorgios, Alex and Vicky for making our stay so memorable.

Pure bliss

Absolutely fantastic stay - it's not cheap but was worth it. The villa was breathtaking with striking architecture and a wonderful mixture of glass, stone and wood. Felt very spacious and lots of space for indoor or outdoor dining/relaxing etc. Loved the infinity pool (and the views from it) and the hot tub was a surprise hit with our warm-water loving baby. Just a short walk (less than 5 mins) from a lovely little cove which was peaceful and great for long swims in the sea. Short drive to a bigger village with some lunch options. Alex, George and Vicky were all great - responsive, helpful and very nice. There were lots of much appreciated extra touches like welcome bottle of wine, tons of delicious herbs/salts/peppers, fresh bread daily, eggs from Vicky's own chickens and the most delicious pie baked by George's wife. The grounds are wonderful too - beautiful gardens, loads of flowers, tons of herbs that you are able to help yourself to for cooking. Thank you for such a great trip!

A luxurious getaway

We spent a week in May at this wonderful house located only 20 min from Chania aiport. The house felt very luxurious and the owner has payed great attention to every detail. Whether we spent our days at the house with pool and jacuzzi or at one of two great beaches at walking distance we felt extremely priveliged. We loved Marathi bay with a nice beach and a great taverna and spent several days there. Its only a 15 min walk away. The general manager took very good care of us and made sure everything was top notch at all times. He was kind enough to give us a tour of the area when we arrived, showing us the closest supermarkets, restaurants and beaches. We are a small family with a 3 year old boy and can truly recommend the house to anyone who want to experience a relaxing environment with beautiful scenery. We will come back!

We just loved it!

We´ve just stayed at Olea Villas for a week and could not be happier with our choice. While the sea was at times a bit cold (as one might expect in March) Alex, George and Nectaria have been wonderful hosts, available at all times and helpful in every way. The villa itself was stunning, a great place to relax and actually a difficult one to leave - we rarely went anywhere else - the kids (4 & 7) would protest loudly against any day trip we came up with ;). As we have only explored a bit of all the wonderful surroundings (Mountains, Beaches, Villages...) we will have to come back next year :-) One of the few places that the kids loved just as much as we did!

Olera was all we 3 couples could have asked for to celebrate our 60th birthdays.Beautifuuly appointed to spend your days relaxing around the pool/spa of a short walk down to the beach . Friendly warm hosts who were ready to please and help us to enjoy our stay. Local resturants to eat at where food is amazing. Didnt have to lift a finger as cleaner was in every day . Loved our stay and would recomend Olea to couples and familys alike.

Wonderful relaxing break away in superb villa

Just back from a lovely week in Crete- wonderful villa- immaculate, modern, beautifully clean, really special to spend time relaxing there with our family- loved the pool and hot tub, delicious meals and long games of chess! Very helpful owners who were more than happy to attend to any need/ question. When we managed to tear ourselves away we had great fun exploring Chania, beaches, monasteries and walking. A truly great combination.

Amazing villa & wonderful hosts

Stayed there for two weeks in beginning of October, with temperatures still up to 30 degrees. Even better than the already great website... wonderful villa with astonishing architecture & facilities and sandy beaches close by (e.g. Marathi with nice taverns). Even our small kids felt like at home from the first moment they entered the garden, hot tub, etc. Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly! We would highly recommend this to anyone.

Excellent facilities and service

I recently stayed a week in one of the Olea Villas with my children and it was a fantastic experience. The villa is beautiful, interesting, well organized and functional. It has excellent facilities and surroundings, and is simply very nice to stay in. It is also in an excellent location. In a quiet spot with excellent views etc., and yet very close to the airport, several beaches, good restaurants, Chania etc. The owners and the service personnel are all very friendly, service minded and pro active. You feel that they really want to do what they can to give you a good holiday and experience. We had an excellent time there, and would really like to come back some time.

Superb!

We are just back from a superb stay at Olea Villas. The villa design, pools, location, view and ammenities are excellent. We visited with family that included two small babies and a toddler. It was relaxing and peaceful. What really made the stay even more special was the personal service from the owners. They could not do enough for us and were always on hand with anything we needed. I would recommend you to stay!

Amazing Villa, Amazing hospitality

We have recently returned from a superb weeks stay at this stunning contemporary villa - the architecture, the views, the garden were all superb. We were a group of 4 adults, a toddler and 2 babies and the villa had everything we needed and it was the little things like complementary daily coffee and maid service that made our stay a pleasure. The friendly owners were very helpful and definitely went the extra mile for us, taking us to the supermarket and organising the printing of our boarding passes as we did not rent a car. Alex was absolutely brilliant during the booking process as I had a lot of questions about its suitability travelling with 2 babies which he was more than happy to answer. Travel cots, a high chair and bathing chairs were all provided for the babies. Lovely Loutraki beach was a 2 minute walk down the hill from the Villa and Marathai beach with excellent seafood restaurant 20 minutes walk away. I would definitely recommend getting the chef to come to the villa to cook some evening meals - the food was amazing. We also enjoyed eating al fresco lunches and using the excellent BBQ. Amazing Villa, Amazing hospitality! Thank you Georgios & Alexis for a wonderful week in your villa !

Extraordinary place for vacation

The property as well as the hospitality of Georgios & Alexis were far above our expectations - and it is located with a wonderful view and great Tavernas at the Beach within walking distance. Chania is just 20 min. away and definetely worth spending a couple of days in the Old Town. The only thing we found difficult was that we had to leave... would have loved to extend our stay and will come back for sure. @ Georgios & Alexis Thank you again for everything!

Superb villa and wonderfull people!

We fell in love of this fantastic villa the first time we laid eyes on its pictures and made it a goal to rent it for our vacantion this year. When we got there we realised it is far better than in the pictures :) The location is superb, the people are extremely nice, the food available in the near by restaurants is great. There is much more in Crete that we have to see so we will be back for sure. If you want a relaxing and paceful location to enjoy Crete wonders go for this one, you will not regret it, we assure you!

“Fantastic relaxing stay at this luxury villa”

My wife and I treated our two children with their spouses and our two grand children to an unforgettably relaxing and luxurious holiday at Villa Olea. Every detail of the Villa was top of the line, from the barbecue to the linen. Every room had it's own bath, a/c, fan and sat TV. We do not go on holiday to watch TV but it was a pleasant bonus to lie in bed and watch a little news & sports if we wanted. The pool and Jacuzzi were kept immaculate by the daily pool cleaning service and we were spoiled with the daily maid service, which was excellent. The restaurant right in front of the Villa had fantastic friendly owners and made great food. The walk to the beach, which seemed like a private beach, took 4 minutes and never had anything like a crowd or noisy tourists. Always very relaxing and another great little cafe where we had salads and coffee brought to our beach chairs. The beach was perfect for small children and for grownup snorklers. For an adventure you can drive 5 minutes to the next beach and have a choice of 4 restaurants. But one of our favorite things was to prepare dinner in the well equipped kitchen and sit in the beautifully landscaped garden and eat our dinner outside with the lights in the olive trees. It was what a holiday is supposed to be, everything just as you could have hoped for, and more. A true highlight was how accommodating the owners are. We even received a home made cake from them which was out of this world, and a beautiful hand painted dish which is now in our living room reminding us of the remarkable week at this villa. I can not say enough good about the whole experience.

Long weekend of pure relaxation

*We visited Olea for a long weekend of pure relaxation and we weren't disappointed. The villa is a dream to look at and even better to stay at. The attention to detail is incredible, the view spectacular and the Cocomat beds one of the best we ever had the pleasure to sleep on. On arrival Alex provided us with many tips on the surrounding area and we fell in love with the lovely sandy beach and it's tavern’s in Loutraki. Chania with it shops, restaurants and great nightlife is within easy reach so you have the best of two worlds really. If we visit the west side of Crete again, we will certainly book Olea. I can only but recommend it and wish we had booked longer.*

An AMAZING stay!

We can't recommend Olea Villas enough. We just got back from a week stay and had the most wonderful time. If you're wondering if the pictures are too good to be true, we can assure you that's not the case! What you see is what you get! The owners son Alex is very helpful over email, and the owner himself (George) is also beyond helpful (even took my parents to the super market as we did not rent a car). There are lovely local beaches and tavernas, so you do not need to stray far (unless you stay more than a week). The facilities/ amenities are first class. We loved the infinity pool, hot tub and nespresso machine topped up daily. We all had a wonderful time and will surely return one day :)

Amazing vacation villa!

This is a beautiful property and can truly be considered a luxury villa. It is beautifully appointed, very clean and George is an amazine owner/host. It is right across the road from a lovely beach and there are several tavernas close by. I would recommend this villa to anyone looking to enjoy the sun and some relaxation. We could not have asked for anything more.

Les propriétaires sont absolument charmants , l’architecture de la maison est agréable, le jardin est très beau, la piscine agréable même si elle est petite, il y a bien la vue sur la mer mais pas celle montrée sur le site Abritel car en fait, il y a d’abord un parking plutôt moche. La plage est effectivement à 2 minutes à pieds mais elle est archibondée, impossible d’y mettre une serviette passé 10h, la plage privée a connu de meilleurs jours avec des transats sales, des paillotes fatiguées et l’autre plage à 5 minutes en voiture est exactement du même acabit. Pour les chambres, elles ont toutes un mur vitré qui donne sur une pièce sans volets et donc vous êtes réveillés avec le soleil levant( très beau) :c’est fatiguant à force de se lever à 7h00 tous les jours . De plus, les deux villas sont extrêmement proches, avec donc le bruit des voisins ( musique, enfants dans la piscine contiguë). Enfin, pour les wc, il est interdit d’y mettre le papier, ce qui est la première fois pour moi comme pour mes amis venus plusieurs fois en Grèce . Cette villa ne vaut en aucun cas 5 étoiles malgré la gentillesse des propriétaires
