Great house, great stay!

The villa is well located with a few shops and restaurants nearby. It is well furnished, the swimming-pool is great and the garden is huge. We will definitely come back if we can and we highly recommend the place to anyone interested. Thanks a lot Cristina und Annibal for this lovely stay!!

Fantastic Holiday in Lucca

We visited with our 4 kids, aged 10,12,16 and 21. The villa is located in a quiet residential area, with a few shops and restaurants nearby. The villa is amazing. Huge indoor space. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The garden is massive, and completely enclosed, with stunning views of the mountains. Outdoor dinning area is lovely. The washing machine in the outside utility room was very useful. The swimming pool was nice and warm, it is a constant depth of 1.5 meters, so all my kids were on their depth ensuring safety. The owner Annibale was very friendly and helpful. He lives opposite, so is always available to help. He cleaned the pool and outdoor space early every morning. The city of Lucca is a 10 minute drive away. There are several supermarkets there. This is perfect location to explore the surrounding area. We had a great holiday Thanks Russ and Lorraine.

Holiday

A fabulous, family villa, spotlessly clean and great amenities. The garden is stunning, well manicured with beautiful views of the Tuscan hills. We had great fun in the pool, cleaned daily by the hosts. Plenty of sun loungers and great shady areas if you seek respite from the sun. Our hosts, Annibale and his lovely wife were incredible, providing a friendly welcome and accommodating all of our needs. On hand and most helpful at all times. We are so grateful for their kindness and support. A short walk into Marlia village where you can find a wonderful patisserie selling delicious breads, sandwiches, cakes, pastries and coffee. On the main street there are Pizzerias, bars, gelaterias , supermarket, pharmacy and many more. Service always friendly and helpful. A good bus service into the stunning walled city of Lucca for €1.50 and where you can take the train to other destinations. A superb holiday!

Immaculate villa

Had a lovely week here. The house is beautifully kept, and the garden and pool area were immaculate. The local area has a little shop and a couple of pizza places of which we really liked Basilico. Easy to get to Lucca, and to use as a base for exploring Tuscany. My only suggestion would be for a fan in the bedrooms, as it did get a bit hot in there. Overall, we were really impressed

Fantastic pool and outside areas

We stayed in the villa in late August as a family, grandparents, parents and three children aged 11, 15 and 17. The best features of the property are definitely the outside areas particularly the pool which was enjoyed by all but especially the children and grandparents. The owners of the property kept the outside areas immaculate and we woke each day to find the pool and barbecue cleaned and the garden tidied without even noticing they had been. The only suggestions we could make for improvements would be a few more recliner chairs, an umbrella to provide shade for the sunbeds and a beer fridge. We did not spend a lot of time inside the property as the weather was so hot but again there was a shortage of comfortable seating if the weather had turned inclement. We found the bedrooms very hot as the air conditioning did not spread that far and if you left the windows open the mosquitos had a field day. Although very close to Lucca and other Tuscan delights the villa is not in a touristy area with all the local bars and restaurants (which were excellent and good value) were almost entirely occupied by local Italians. The one local amenity which made our stay delightful was the Pasticceria del Cima, just across the road which made the most amazing pastries and coffees a regular breakfast treat for us all.

Most relaxing week ever.

From originally finding the villa online to leaving after an incredible week the owners couldn’t have been more helpful. The villa is in such a nice quiet village with the most incredible patisserie Just across the road. The villa has so much parking and space for the kids to run and have fun. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better week. We had the outdoor pool which was great to cool down, bbqs in the evenings with local wines and pizza from the local pizzeria two mins walk away. Lucca is incredible, we also went to see Pisa, Florence and the beaches. We definitely would use this villa again And would highly recommend if travelling with a family.

Beautiful Villa, close to amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa. The owners keep the villa spotlessly clean and tidy, popping in each morning to tend to the gardens without us even knowing. They were so helpful, providing information and assistance when needed. The pool area was excellent, plenty of sun and shade depending on your preference. There was also lots of different seating options in the garden.We used the BBQ on a few occasions and the owners provided all necessary equipment including coal and firelighters. The villa itself is well equipped and was very homely. Pleasing three generations can sometimes be a challenge, but everyone was more than happy here. The villa is opposite Pasticceria Del Cima which sells the most delicious breakfast pastries and cakes. There is also a large supermarket in the town and other restaurants, pizzerias and bars /cafes nearby. It is centrally placed to explore Lucca and the surrounding areas, including the beautiful Villa Reale which is only 2km away.

Perfect

The villa was just perfect for us: a party of 6 adults including 2 Mums aged 77 and 89. The rooms were large, light and spacious and all were tastefully decorated whilst the furniture, light fittings, artwork and photos added to the ambience. A definite bonus was ample storage space to unpack our bags and put everything away tidily. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The garden was equally impressive with numerous places to sit and eat/read/relax/sun bathe, the fantastic pool and a large lawn suitable for games (although we never caught the Mums playing football!). About a minutes walk away from the villa is a great pasticceria and in less than 10 minutes more you can reach most of your basic shopping needs. There are also plenty of supermarkets in under a 15 minute drive. Cristina and Annibale were wonderful hosts. There to greet us and show us around when we arrived, discretely cleaning the pool and recycling early every morning and cutting the grass and tending to the garden whilst we were out. They were never intrusive but always available if needed. We would like to thank them for going the extra mile - the evenings turned unexpectedly cool during our second week and without any request from ourselves the heating system was flushed through and fired up which was greatly appreciated, especially by the Mums.

Fantastic house, especially the pool. Location V Good. Hosts were very helpful

When we arrived we were welcomed with a bottle of red. Perfect after a long drive. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with local attractions etc. They seemed to have put a lot of work into their folder of things to do and see. The house is wonderfully decorated and well maintained. The garden and pool was where the holiday came to life with our two cockers running riot The local shops and folk were again very friendly and their English was miles better than our Italian. We would truly recommend this property and will definitely plan to stay here again in the near future. Thanks Again Cristina Trevor and Krissy East Yorkshire

We had an amazing holiday, it was our first time in Italy and it didn't disappoint, there was a group of nine of us and the villa caterered for all our needs, the only down side was there was only 4 sun beds, the owners was very helpful and friendly, the villa is a great base for exploring Tuscany, we will definitely be back.

property very nice but location has problems

Overall the family enjoyed their stay at the villa and it is a good base from which to explore that part of Tuscany. But, there were some drawbacks. The owners were very kind and helpful and anxious to make sure we settled in well. House was very clean and provided the accommodation we required, beds and bathrooms were excellent. However, with no air conditioners in the bedrooms, sleeping at night was a problem. No doubt outwith high summer, it would have been ok. The grounds and pool were lovely, well maintained, attractive and spacious. Big drawback was the incessant rumbling and crashing from the articulated lorries that passed the villa every day. From 6.30am to 7.00pm. Unfortunately, there was an industrial estate nearby with a paper mill and flour mill amongst the factories. Cycles were provided at the villa but it would be a brave soul that went out on those roads. Whilst the house was very nice, the environment spoiled the atmosphere a little. Visitors with young families would have a great time because of the garden and pool, older folks would probably be a bit disappointed.

PERFECT STAY

As you enter Villa in Lucca through the large gate, the property reveals breathtaking views over the Tuscany hills. The big garden and pool gives you endless options to enjoy the relaxing surroundings in the sun or shade. The inside space offers a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioned lounge and cool and comfortable bedrooms. An easy 10 minute car ride to the charming historical center enabled us to enjoy all that Lucca offers... Architecture, history, restaurants & shops. We cannot wait to return to the hidden gem, Villa in Lucca!

Beautiful, well maintained property with amazing pool and excellent hosts a home away from home.

The villa is beautiful and decorated to a high standard in keeping with the Tuscan period. We had everything we needed to hand from bicycles, guidebooks and a range of books to read if you had forgotten reading material. The air con was excellent and kept the whole house cool. The pool was lovely and enjoyed by everyone. The grounds were beautiful with every kind of fruit growing to hand. Our hosts Cristina & Annibale were kind and patient with us even when we got lost and couldn't find our way. They drove out to find us we are so grateful. The information you provided on parking in Florence helped save us stress and the suggestions on the visit to the Devil bridge was enjoyed enormously by our family. A great family holiday

We have just returned from a lovely week at Cristina and Annibale's villa. The villa is beautiful, spacious and really well kept with a large garden and pool. It is also only 5 miles from the centre of Lucca. We had a great time here and will be recommending it to our friends and family. We will also be coming back some time in the future (hopefully). Annibale and Cristina made us feel very welcome and provided a detailed book outlining local attractions, which we found very useful - as it gave coordinates of the best places to visit/park/eat!! Fantastic Holiday Home

Many thanks to Cristina and Annibale who gave our family a very warm welcome and were perfect hosts throughout our stay. We loved the villa and especially the beautiful garden and pool - which was immaculate, cleaned every day by Annibale. We ate every meal outside and enjoyed using the barbeque. The villa was kept at a good temperature with the air conditioning, the bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. This is a wonderful area to stay in. We loved Lucca - cycling round the city walls, wandering from one exquisite square to the next and visiting the cathedral and numerous churches. The children especially enjoyed climbing several towers from which we took in fantastic views. We visited Florence, Pisa and several smaller towns and villages recommended by our hosts who kindly provide GPS coordinates for parking which are extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely villa for a family holiday. Many thanks again to our gracious hosts.

Totally excellent, beautiful location and a lovely

The perfect holiday 2013

Our stay at this home close to Lucca was perfect. We stayed a week. Beautiful Villa

We have just returned from this villa with its amazing views, large beautiful house and garden. The photos on the website don't do the house and its grounds justice, as the property was stunning. We used the bikes to venture into Lucca which only took 40 mins, where there is an abundance of restaurants. I would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family. VERY PLEASANT STAY

We had a splendid holiday at VILLA IN LUCCA. We were searching for a villa in Tuscany in a relaxed but not remote location, and we found exactly what we were looking for (which, in my experience, does not happen often). Villa in Lucca is bright, immaculately clean. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with fine furniture, the living room is big and functional. The grounds deserve a special mentioning: they are very big and the design is well-thought, with various tables, a gazebo, fruit trees, palms, cypress, flowering shrubs aromatic plants etc. moreover the swimming pool is again nice and daily cleaned. Lucca is a lovely small town (only 20 min. drive from Pisa airport) where you can go everywhere on foot or bicycles. It has supermarkets, numerous small shops and restaurants/cafes, some of which truly excellent; pizzas and pastas are delicious and very good value for money. Beautiful cities like Pisa and Florence are also not far away and there are various beach resorts 30 minutes drive: the charming Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi as well as the cheaper Torre del Lago with its big free beaches. Cristina and Hannibal who live the other side of the road are wonderful hosts, friendly and discreet, always there to give advice if you want to. Overall, a superb holiday destination, in particular for one or two families, sincerely recommended. We are thinking of returning.

Charming Home/Landscape and Relaxing Stay

Our family of 6 LOVED this home. Annibale and his wife Cristina greeted us with a bottle of Italian wine, the keys and showed us around upon arrival. There is even a detailed binder of things to go to around the area. Great communication and he even made a reservation for us when we asked since we don’t speak good Italian. We were able to make great food and used the charcoal grill at the house. The kids loved the pool even during the colder weather. They loved to be outside and roam around within the safety of the gated yard. (Just if you have younger kids the pool is open space). So much space inside for 4 kids to relax and a private master suite for parents. So many places to sit and to enjoy outside with a beautiful view. Only thing during the week there are loud work trucks going by but nothing big of a deal! Overall wonderful experience! We will go back if we can!

La casa esta genial .Muy comoda para personas en sillas de ruedas, bien ubicada para visitar la toscana,Florencia, Siena. Pizza Lucca.... El tener una piscina es muy de agradecer sobretodo cuando hace calor.La decoracion me recordaba a la tipica pelucula en la que los acontecimientos transcurren en un ligar de la toscna.No le dodemos poner ningun pero a la casa.Altamente recomendable su alquiler Annibale fue desde el principo muy smsnke y atento

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Familienurlaub!

Wir waren 4 Erwachsene, ein Kind (10) und ein Hund. Das Haus war sauber und top ausgestattet. Alle technischen Geräte (vor allem die Klimaanlagen in jedem Raum) haben perfekt funktioniert. Der Außenbereich ist der Wahnsinn! Ein großer Pool, Sitz und Liegemöglichkeiten im Schatten und ganz viel Platz für Kind und Hund zum toben. Ein ganz großer Vorteil hierbei ist, dass das Grundstück komplett geschlossen ist und man keine Angst haben muss, dass der Hund oder das Kind verloren geht :-) Die Gastgeber haben jeden Morgen den Pool gereinigt, den Grill sauber gemacht und waren jederzeit ansprechbar und haben uns z.B. auch ein Taxi für die Fahrt an den Flughafen gebucht. In 5 Minuten ist man beim nächsten Supermarkt (Essalungo). Dieser bietet eine tolle Auswahl und ist schön eingerichtet. Da wir uns keine Ausflüge gemacht haben (es war viel zu heiß) kann ich leider nichts zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten oder dem Strand in der Umgebung erzählen. Hierfür ist aber von den Gastgebern bereits ein Ordner vor Ort hinterlegt, in dem man alle Strände, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, usw. findet und sich dann das beste aussuchen kann. Rundum ein ganz toller Urlaub ohne wirklichen Kritikpunkt. Das einzige sind vielleicht die Stühle am Esstisch im Außenbereich. Diese sind nicht so ganz bequem, aber das ist wirklich Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Ganz lieben Dank an Cristina und Annibal für diesen tollen Urlaub!! Wir empfehlen euch jederzeit weiter!! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wenn man von einigen kleinen Mängel absieht, so überwiegen die positiven Eindrücke. Vor allem der riesige, schöne Garten mit Pool und die Klimaanlagen in jedem Raum - unbedingt notwendig bei der Hitze. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit.n
